WE DID IT 1000 Subscribers .. A Massive Thank You & Merry Christmas To All.
Well I can't believe that I'm even making this video, we made it to 1000 subscribers. THANK YOU so much.
Well what an incredible year it's been for the model making world and the amount of new releases is nothing less than amazing. Not even too sure where to start, start with collecting a small amount of HAA coal wagons all 38 of them from Accurascale and Cavalex and to go along with that we have the master piece that is of the beautiful class 56 008 in BR Blue (Another one coming next year). The stunning class 37's from both Bachmann and Accurascale (I have both with more come) The Revolution Trains TEA tank wagons (all 26 of them, and yes a class 60 will be on it's way to sit in front of them) and talking about them tankers, I had the amazing privilege of seeing these wagons in real life, unfortunately not behind a class 60 with 30 wagons but instead a pair of class 66's with 'only' 20 or so wagons, still amazing to witness though. That was on the family holiday in Burry Port South Wales. We also have the stunning class 66 by Accurascale which was the old Hattons model, and to add to that line up, the beautiful class 31 with tablet catcher in BR Blue.
So what a year it has been and next year will be even better.
Merry Christmas everyone, be safe. Enjoy

Sorry but I've notice that part of this video the sound doesn't match the visual, not sure why. This little video is to do with the crazy savings that you can achieve on a Black Friday deal. I bought a complete freight train and why not. I ended up buying the MDV 21t ton mineral wagon. The advantage of buying direct from Accurascale themselves is they offer the more you buy the more you save sc...

This is the fourth unboxing of a class 66 that I have, so it's not as in depth as the first video on this class. This time it's the beautiful coloring of the bright DB red livery class 66 167. The color of this loco is stunning and when you have contrasting wagons behind it, in this case the stunning JHA wagons in Foster Yeoman livery from Dapol it really does stand out. Hi Martin, congratulations on the 1000 sub’s going to have a extension for all those pre orders lol 😂 cheers Al
Hi, congratulations on reaching 1000 subscribers, you have a serious collection of wagons, happy Xmas and new year to you and the family, thanks for sharing.
Well done mate, awesome video, and a very merry christmas to you :)
Happy Christmas Eve 🎄🎄
@georgebonham22 And a Happy Christmas Eve to you to. See you tomorrow. 👍
I'd love to get some of these, I'll find out tmrw as well if 66507 will join my fleet!
The wagons are stunning, I just didn't want to pay the full price on them, £55 or so but most of them I got for around the £40 mark and less, Try and save where I can lol. O h very nice, so exciting times then. The loco is stunning, take it from me. Let us know if you get it. 👍👍
Yep, I’m from March and you pronounced Manea perfectly. Now a subscriber.
Oh perfect, thank you so much, it was a little stab in the dark weather I was pronouncing it correctly. Thanks again. 👍👍
Don’t worry about the BR green and BR blue mix, they ran together in the late 60’s early 70’s 👍🏻 Great video!!
Oh perfect, thank you for letting me know, I don't feel so bad now. lol. Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it. 👍
Another great investment. 👍
Ya they certainly are, they are stunning in the flesh. 👍
Top class gideo matey, lovely wagons pulled by a classic engine. 😊All the best for 2025.
Thank you so much, So glad you enjoyed it. Ya they really are, even better with the price. lol. would be silly to ignore. lol. Thank you, and to you to, Take care. 👍
Those are some truly gorgeous wagons, the detail is next level! Awesome video martin
Thank you so much, Glad you enjoyed the video. Ya they really are, I have a few locos that would look good and it's just trying to pick the right one lol. 👍
You just can't resist an early present can you martin? 😂😂 awesome wagons, can't wait to see them running :)
Ya you know, well I thought I'd treat myself as I've being really really good. lol. Plus I don't see many second hand Revolution Train TEA tank wagon.....And I don't have any in the lite green. That's 26 now in total.....just as well I have one or two class 60's coming. Depending on which class 60 turns up first will depend what you see first.🤣🤣 And with the lobster wagons they will fit right in with the Dapol JNA Network Rail wagons.....It's all going to plan.....ish. lol. 👍👍
@mrmartinb1615 oooh, can't wait to see these 60s!
@jackstrains4468 You and me both, they are going to be amazing.....Between me, you and the gate posts I've order 5 of them. As it stands 3 from Cavalex and 2 from Accurascale. ops...lol. I think the Cavalex are arriving at the end of January/February time. 👍
@mrmartinb1615 wow, this'll stay a secret! Can you do a comparison video please, I'd love to get a 60 from either cavalex, accurascale or hornby, and im not sure which one is best!
@jackstrains4468 To be honest with Cavalex and Accurascale you would not be disappointed with, both models will more than likely be breathe taking. I have two old hornby models (8 pin non sound) and to look at still stunning and a beautiful running (motor in the middle great pulling power)......but with the other two they are going to be just that little better all over. If you would be happy with the Hornby sound class 60 get one........but again I'd just save the extra £30/£40/£50 and the daddy, Accurascale or Cavalex. I cant't wait lol. I will try to get round to doing a comparison video it might be a while though. Thank you, mum's the word. lol 👍👍
Very interesting video. Thank you for taking time in your life to film this footage. The South section of the Cambridge Busway was built on the formation of the London & North Western line from Bedford via Sandy. This has separate over bridge on Long Road. The Junction which you film at is called Shepreth Branch Junction. Network Rail is moving the switch and crossing on the Down Main further North of its current position. This is why the track bed in your video is being widen on the Trumpington side of line. Christmas 2024 should see a major engineering procession to make all four lines through Cambridge South operational. Bad luck for any one to London for football league events over the break.
@@tonybarfield5148 Ya it really something different and as I don't see this very often and your more than welcome. Wow, thankyou so much for the extra information, ok it's starting to make sense now and answering a few questions and some exciting times ahead. Lol. Thankyou again for extra info. 👍👍
The locos are formed like that to get them into and out of the possesssion
@@martinleigh6904 Wow, thank you so much for the information. Always nice to know. 👍
Great watch. Not easy working under the wires like that and with all the various ‘ furniture’ in the way. The track laying should be equally impressive, especially with a switch being laid. You’ll need to get that on film!
@@michaelhoulan1092 Glad you enjoyed. Ya it certainly looks like a fine art filling up the wagons. I did manage to film part of tthe rack laying when they were renewing the line through my local station. Incredible to watch. Ya I'm not too sure when the points are scheduled to go in, cos I could be very tempted to pop up there again. 👍👍
It's interesting you mentioned Oxford to Cambridge,, just read Bedford council have been asked to Rethink the route that's been chosen,😊,
@@joginns778 🤣🤣, Oh really. Is it a watch this spce moment. Lol. 👍
@mrmartinb1615 its the same old story, everyone wants the RAILWAY, but not near my backyard last I read over seventy home's to be demolished to make way for EWR project bletchley to Bedford EWR want to close the existing station's and build new ones away from existing level crossing, the people of WOBURN are not happy with the decision as EWR has offered to replace the road crossing with a road bridge, please keep us informed about what's happening with what you video at Cambridge I found it very interesting video 👍
@@joginns778 so very true, as long as its not on my door step lol. Just as well I live about 6 doors away from a station. 👍....Ya of course, I'm not sure when they are laying the point in at all but I'll try to film it, glad you found it interesting. 👍👍
Loved your answer made me laugh I live near the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire steam railway not quite as busy as where you live👍,
Great footage, Martin, quite impressive watching the track excavator controllers with their operation skills. I’m surprised no one‘s tried to climb into the engine room of 66 since it has no hatch doors I thought that was quite funny.. thanks for sharing again and congratulations on your thousand subscribers 😎👍
@@RobertBlack-m8u Thank you so much. Ya it really is a art form in loading up the wagons under the wires. 🤣🤣 ya I was very surprised to see it open, maybe having cooling issues or maybe didn't know it was open 🤷♂️🤷♂️...who's knows... Recently a friend of mine laughed at me for still having the stickers on the shelf brackets. Mainly because he also has on his, as they are impossible to get off. Nice to see we're not the only ones. I have been thinking out one of these locos, they look really good - nice video!
Hey everybody has their 'thing' lol and the loco are incredible they really are, beautiful to look that and listen to as well. Thank you so much. 👍👍
Hey lovely locomotive, Aswell another thing that’s lovely is that bridge, Do you possibly know what make it is?. Cheers
@@Inlandcub2 thankyou, ya really is a stunning loco. The bridge is as far as I'm aware is a Walthers bridge. 👍👍 your welcome.
Hey, cheers You’ve got a sub keep it up pal!
@@Inlandcub2 Thank you so much 👍👍
Upon seeing this one. I am getting even more excited for their upcoming Class 60. I hope they will consider doing an N Gauge model of both the Class 60 and the Class 66 as well as an O Gauge Class 60 in the future. I have bought another Hornby Class 60 in Loadhaul as a stop gap until I get the Accurascale Class 60 also in Loadhaul. The Hornby one has been renumbered so it won't conflict with my other Class 60 from Accurascale. I am super excited. I am sure I might have seen 66167 working on the DRAX trains around Barnetby back in 2017 I think. It is a nice livery. Awesome video and layout as always mate. All the best, Peter.
@@BritishRail60062 The class 60s ate going to be epic....I've ordered from both manufacturers....so can't wait. Mmm as of the moment Accurascale don't do N gauge but Cavalex does....just have to wait and see, Revolution Trains do N though, so watch this space. To be honest with you I have two of the Hornby class 60s and they are stunning (non sound) Loadhaul And Mainline blue. But they are the 8 pin and unfortunately the world has moves on some what. You should be excited cos they will be amazing model......and so they should be, if my Hornby ones were 21 pin with sound I probably wouldn't of ordered the ones I have. Now I have to admit that there is something about seeing a loco and having it your own collection and ya it really is stunning in the red. Thankyou so so much Peter, I glad you enjoyed the video, take care, Martin. 👍
Great stuff martin, I'm hoping for that freightliner class 66 for christmas, you're review came in very handy while deciding! Lovely hattons 66, and those wagons are beautiful :)
Thank you so much and thank you for the kind words. Its really is stunning the Hattons 66 and the Accurascale model and I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Thank you again......Wait til I get my class 60 with 30 of the tank wagons 😉😜👍

@@mrmartinb1615 You're too deep when you have lots of cars and engines, but no layout, haha. I'm still working on a G scale layout in my backyard. I have videos of it on my page.
@@alexmanne Very true, the only thing is most items that are sold or for sale have a "limited" run or time frame for buying so as of the moment I'm happy to have an amazing collection but no layout. Things are coming together behind the scenes lol. Wow, I have to have a look at that. In the back yard is definitely a level or two above me. lol. 👍👍
I love it Martin, it's quiet comparing to others. Great job!.
@@Olivia-kz5dp Thankyou so much Olivia...🤣🤣..👍👍
Great video. I came over from. LT. nice to find you
@@upnorthgold2632 🤣🤣..Thankyou so, really appreciate it. Hope your keeping well and how's trading going?👍
Thank you for finding the paperwork at the bottom of the box - mine were too so it saved me an embarrassing email to Accurascale!
@@locotracks2217 🤣🤣...Ya and that was only down to an over night thought in where the places I haven't checked....so glad it was there. 👍👍
Why no exhaust smoke, isn't that part of the package.
Give it time, and it'll be an option..👍
I enjoyed this ( I am not a modeller) Is it me or do the horns sound a little tinny?
@@Lensman3333 Thankyou 👍Glad you enjoyed it. Its a little lite entertainment. Well the real ones didn't sound too great. Lol. 🤣. 👍
@@mrmartinb1615 Super layout! good luck
@@Lensman3333 Thankyou. 👍 always a work in progress. Lol.
@@mrmartinb1615 Amazing! So much time and effort goes into this.
@@Lensman3333 Ya it most certainly is. It's crazy how much time you can spend on some parts and not really see the benefits, but you know that's its there. lol
Hi, this is totally off topic but there was a set of 3x non generator 00 gauge Bachmann auto ballaster curved top wagons on eBay this week that were sold for £180, yesterday a batch of 8x 00 gauge curved top Bachmann auto ballaster wagons were on sale for £700 or offers! Wow that is over £87 each for secondhand units, definitely a pants down seller, the absolute greed of these sellers is shocking, the collectors club brand new units in the latest liveries are £94 each, unfortunately they are weathered so don’t do it for me, why another manufacturer hasn’t produced these yet is a mystery to me, I still believe that the Bachmann high price of their products paid for their Kinesis dcc system that’s due out now, this hobby is unique but there are so many elements of unnecessary greed, if it continues it will damage the hobby.
@@StormmyStormmy £700.........er wow, I mean its only £87 per wagon.....lol.....but to be fair if you only need 3 or 8 wagons to finish a stunning set of wagons would you pay? I tuff one....but £700......that is eye watering......Ya very true words in the pricing...... On a different note I did 'Roadtest' the railfrieght grey with red class 31 from Bachmann and you know what.....I really do like.....mmmmm shall I part with more money....lol....👍👍
@@mrmartinb1615 Bachmann class 31’s are very nice indeed but you have to pay a lot more for other features, reminds me of buying a brand new BMW or Mercedes back in the day when you got the basic car and had to pay extra for everything, to be fair you get a bulletproof model from Bachmann but the serious detailing goes to Accurascale hands down, the auto uncoupling is a nice touch so is their motorised roof fan unit which is metal bodied, in answer to your question on would I pay £700 on some secondhand wagons the answer is a absolute no! Regardless of items to complete a rake or project, if you’re prepared to wait you won’t get your pants pulled down by a seller who’s greed has no boundaries, in my book if it’s meant to be it will be, you will always have options, I’m sure the cost of these wagons will level off eventually or another manufacturer will see their worth and produce them again, not all sellers are greedy. If you took a rake Into a model shop they wouldn’t offer you what the rake is worth but they would probably sell at a top rate guided by eBay’s lowest estimate, a few shops down my neck of the world operate like that, I don’t trade in my unwanted items anymore because of it.
@@StormmyStormmy I did test drive a Bachmann class 31 in rail freight grey with red strip and it was stunning to use. No that's fair enough and very understandable..... On a different note me and my brother was invited to the Manea train exhibition and I hate to say it but sitting on a trade stand (only 3 there) not one, not two but four JJA Atuo Ballasters with a generator wagon all up for £50 each, they had been tampered with slightly but nothing to bad......and we even got it cheaper than that.....price £42.50 each....thank you every much. it's amazing where you can find the perfect gems....Sorry for the late reply.
