#Fridaysews - My makes this week and my upcoming sewing projects
Hello everyone welcome to #Fridaysews, many thanks for joining me today, I have two new makes and completed my toile, so it is a wearable toile from last week.
I did finish off my toile of the Duplantier Dress by Elbe Textiles, I only needed to hem the sleeves and bottom of the dress, I made this up in some poly gingham I had on hand, this was a test run before I make it in my good fabric.
I was then able to make up the Duplantier Dress by Elbe Textiles in the Belladonna Fabric from the Dahlia Sewciety, so happy with the result and I am wearing the gorgeous earrings that came in the Belladonna box, great match for the fabric. I did extend the sleeves by 10 cm and the length by 30 cm, I think the Duplantier Dress is a great pattern and I got a perfect fit in the Size: D C/D Cup, I’m looking forward to wearing this lovely dress in the Spring.

I then made up the Matchy Matchy Perfect Puff Sleeve Top, in a Tana lawn from the Dahlia Sewciety, I love this top it is the second one I have made using lawn, which is the ideal fabric for this pattern.

Deb I love your top. Liberty😮❤❤❤. You are my inspiration for wanting to make it. It was really good to hear how you do binding. I think I do something similar. I don't like traditional bias binding. I like it when you sew it on flat then fold it over, understitch, clip, trim, I think I may fold it again then sew. Does that make sense 😂? Probably not😂. You are so good choosing fabric. I might get better when I have my own money again. I think a shirt would be good with The artist muse fabric. I love that Zoe Blouse I think it is. I've been eyeing it off all year. I wish I could wear Pjs to school drop off. It's a dream. My kids are special needs so I have to go in every day. Full make up😮. I love the Blackwood cardigan..Ive got two both prints , so not so useful, but a lovely easy pattern that looks good. Helens closet patterns are great! Im making a Make a Cuppa cardigan by PE as a toile because I’m not sure about the oversized nature. Ive made the Reconnect cardigan in the long version, which i love . Its in a cable knit, and it catches every so often if im not careful …it has very narrow shoulders so I cant pull it close:( but thats the way its designed.
