That red denim is fantastic. I’ve found a more ‘diluted’ ‘red’ denim in the states, but may consider, with that discount, of getting some of that red denim. ❤
Watching your video, Deb, has helped me get my sewing mojo back - which mysteriously disappeared in the past couple of weeks!! I love your fabric choices and the patterns too. Really gorgeousl. Thank you.
That’s great to hear Julie, I’m glad your back, sewing is my happy space, even if I don’t sew I just sit in my sewing room, have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
Hii Deb, I love those Lander 0ants, a great colour. It looks like yiur weather has got cool enough for long sleeves, not so here, still 17 at night 32 or 30 in the day. Have fun with your sewing plans. Looking forward to your Ginger Jeans sewLong ❤
Thanks Deb, it’s freezing here, we have had to put the heater on already. Just started the Ginger Jeans sewalong, so should be part 1 early next week. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
Hi Deb, the Lander pants are fabulous - I love both the colour and the fit. I am looking forward to seeing your make with the red stretch denim as it will be so unique. I enjoy watching your channel and wishing you happy sewing. 🌸
Thanks Julie, I do love the Lander Pants, I’m looking forward to the red denim as well, I have to decide which jeans to make in that glorious colour. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕👖
Thanks Deb. Great vlog...again! I have purchased the Lady McElroy red denim from Warp and Weft. The quality is amazing! It is absolutely beautiful! I am going to make a Westend Jacket for the challenge after I have finished my blouses for the April Blouse challenge. Looking forward to your Ginger Jeans so-along...might have to give them a go, too. Love your channel!❤
Thanks Alison, the red denim is gorgeous, such a brilliant colour, The Westend Jacket looks like a great choice with the big patch pocket, can’t wait to see it in the challenge. I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel, have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕👖
Hi Deb. I love the adjustment you made on your Remant top and the fabric is gorgeous. It looks fabulous on you! Your Lander pants look great on you too. That seems to be a very popular pattern so it's one I've got to think about making if I ever get courage to make pants.
Hi Polly, yes the Nerida Hansen fabric is gorgeous, I hope to get a lot of wear from it. The Lander Pant is a great pattern, once you make pants you will wonder why it took you so long to decide to make them. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕👖
I also bought that same green cable knit fabric. I made an ankle length pencil skirt with a yoga waist band, a bat wing long sleeve top and had enough left over to make an infinity scarf.
That sound great vegemitegirl, my skirt is quite long too, which I do like and it’s very warm. The batwing top is a good idea, I should have gone with that, less seams , I’m going to look at Spotlight where I think I bought it and try an infinity scarf as I haven’t made one before, could be very handy. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
@@dbdesignsandsewingaustrali5668 Yes, the fabric was a Spotlight purchase. I like how thin the fabric is, just right for a summer night and in winter I can put leggings under the skirt and other tops under the batwing top.
Thanks Deb for another great video! Would love to see your jumper makes for winter.......just an idea? Just received my Bespoke box from Dahlia Sewciety.....OMG its gorgeous!!
Thanks Susan, a jumper makes is a good idea, as I haven’t done a tops make because that would be too long, but I could do a jumper one. I have received my box just haven’t opened it yet, will do it today, can’t wait to see the fabric, Deb 🪡🧵💕
Love both of your makes (have not heard of the Vetiver top but the line drawings look inspirational with the Princess seams). It is that in between season in Australia and not really sure what to sew as it is still hot up here in Queensland.
Hi Marlene, the Vetiver is a great top, probably be good for in between weather, the sleeves are not puffy so you can easily put a jacket or cardigan over it. It’s freezing in Melbourne already, looks like lots of coat wearing ahead for me 😂. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
@@dbdesignsandsewingaustrali5668 I’m bragging on my twoile, I love this pattern that much!!…. I made it in sweatshirt knit from a Walmart bundle for $8!! I can’t wait to make another from a really nice fabric.
Ive used that cable knit to make the Reconnect Cardigan by Pattern Emporium, and the bands did not like being told to sit! I think it might even be exactly the same cable knit! Im so relieved to hear you make the same comment!
I've purchased one pattern from Nerida Hansen and hate it. Described as having "flutter sleeves" it actually has ridiculously gathered sleeves which I suppose imitates a flutter, but that is not a flutter sleeve (it should be cut on a curve to create the flutter, not add 1.2m of fabric between the sleeve seams). I made a toile and after adding 1 sleeve went no further. My tuckshop lady arms could not handle alllllllll that fabric. You've been busy as always and your quality of stitching is something to admire :)
Hi Michelle, some of the Nerida Hansen pattern do have huge sleeves, not really something I wear very often, but the Palma Jumpsuit is really gorgeous, when I went to the event two girls made it and it looked lovely, not oversized. I think Nerida has more patterns coming so it will be interesting to see if they use a lot of fabric, as it can become quite costly. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
Hi Deb, there's some beautiful fabric there... Just wondering - how do you store all your patterns? Especially the ones you've drawn and put into zip lock bags?
Hi Helen, I put my patterns in plastic pockets or zip lock bags and then into cubes and store in IKEA Kallax unit with labels saying woven dresses, knit tops etc.. they do get very heavy to take in and out of the unit though. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
On the size changes you’re making Deb, you ‘ve been saying you’ve lost weight, so could that have contributed to the adjustments you’ve made, not just the pattern block? I love this colour- im yet to purchase fabric from MaaiDesign, but i will shortly for this winter. She has a great range of heavier weight knits which look to be good quality!
Hi Paula, I think it is weight loss and a lot of body change, fully out of menopause, my boobs just get smaller all the time. Maaidesign have beautiful fabrics, I haven’t had any that were not good quality , I think Maaike is pretty fussy about what she buys in, she also advises you if you need assistance with suitability. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕👖
The colours in the remnant top suit you so much you look fantastic in those colours.
Thanks Noeleen, it is beautiful quality fabric, have a great sewing week, adeb 🪡🧵💕
You are a really good sewist and you seem to churn them out. Love all your makes
Thanks Jillian, I will need to get onto some kids winter clothes soon, once the sewing Autumn denim is finished. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕

Thanks Debbie. Gorgeous makes and fabrics as always. You have reminded me that I must get the Vetiver top! I love it. 😍. Happy Sewing 😊. Lynne
Thanks Lynne, I can see a few more Vetiver tops in my future, as great scrap buster as well with the princess seams, have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
Deb, I like the fit of the Lander on you, and the French Navy top is so cute too. Great outfit for You.

can you only enter items into the denim competition on the last day of May or are they entered throughout the 2 months ?
