My father bought that same model 1962, car(convertible), in 1964. It was one of the most classist cars and easiest cars to work on . I actually learned ( as a 13 year old) to drive on that car . Good luck !!! This car is worth it .. Mark , Raleigh, NC… good video.

Nice Video, So what Air Shocks are you using? I've got a 1969 Chevelle with the same 275 50 15s on 15x10s Cragars and the wheel is to close to the outer this looks like a good reference

It appears to be FE powered. Fix it to be road-worthy, then attend to the other stuff.

Some interesting things going on there. Since it's a '62 it should have a 292 Y-block but that's not guaranteed since the 260 was introduced during '62 and was standard for '63. The reason why you were having such a hard time getting it to move is that it has a 2 speed Ford of Matic, which although it actually has 3 speeds, starts out in second unless you floor it or shift all the way to low. Last, I hear Purple Martins at your place. I hope someone is maintaining their houses.

I am curious as to if a guy could tie hay twine to the system and as the engine turns over, let the twine wrap around all pulleys and make a full belt, a sort of full as its turning much faster than a guy could stop when full. If enough wraps were around those pulleys, then a guy could even tension it a bit and have a even better chance of keeping fluids moving through the compromised system. I am sure that this system would not do much as cooling goes, taking in its had hard water in there and most likely a big deposit of rust and other junk in it. Since I don't see a ford besides this one in a small shot of what you work on, do you even care if it survives. I do know from experience that when a rig is looking more like it can be repaired that someone will attempt to refurbish those old rigs. 62 was a odd body style, not really popular among most who "Restore" these cars. I have owned and drove these rigs from the times when they were at most five years old. I drove fords because of my not being a kid who was liked by the majority of kids near. My dad was mopar so I had to be different. Every kid around had hundreds of dollars to spend and I wasn't from that side of the tracks. I could get a ford running and driving for a few dollars or even given to me. Really tho, just wonder if a guy could wrap the bailing twine tight enough to survive say twenty miles or more
