looks very cool and has alot of potential, very hyped for a playable release 👍
I have more ideas: if you click e on a toilet it will flush and the neighbor will run to the bathroom. Another idle task: make him clean stuff like tables, and drawers. Make the neighbor hear your mic cuz why not. and the last one: if you get caught alot in the same area and theres a closet there, theres a chance the neighbor will be in there and then jump out at you.

very small suggestion: add animation for door handles
also do u know where ur going with the story/lore?? or are u still in process of making that?? because it would be so awesome if there was cut scenes and stuff , i feel like cut scenes was what was missing from the game from the very start , the lack of story explaining was so upsetting. having a cut scene of the player (nicky) move into raven brooks , interact with the neighbors son (aaron) exactly like the book , that small of a cut scene would have literally explained everything. a 1 minute thing , its so disappointing everything is tbh 😭 the potentials wasted despite everything else
in one stage, the neighbor can do these things. in the second stage, the neighbor does not do these things, but does this thing, and the rearrangement of the house changes. this is my favourite feature in Pre-Alpha this is me - Zoom-733
the sound effects are EVERYTHING i love this so much!!! the ambiance is so good i cant wait for this full thing to come out !! even if its far i cant wait for the demos/videos on current progress !

7:39 the old running animation , was so unique and realistic. im so utterly disappointed at it that i gasped and how much better the running/grabbing feature and detail the neighbor had. as someone who loved this game so much when i was younger , its just saddening.

My smile faded REAL QUICK
This is super impressive for a first game, and only being made in around two months too is insane, even with help, you should be really proud! I also have a few ideas for the game you might want to think about, probably would be pretty hard to implement but still some cool ideas, like the neighbor being able to see objects missing or broken, lights being on or off that weren't before, the player's footsteps, doors being open, doors being closed near him, boards on windows being taken down, stuff like that. I'd also really like to see the unused pre alpha neighbor mecanecs, like him being able to hear things being thrown or moved loudly, any locks on the basement door being unlocked near him, and the object traps he sets up in hallways you go in a lot. I know that's a lot to think about, but you really don't need to add any of it in if you don't want to, do whatever you want its your fangame, just giving some suggestions. uh anyway looks super cool great job!
@@Ukifukso those are all really good suggestions, and i do plan to add all them! or as many as i can. i wanna make lights more of a major focus in the game as well, such as different bulbs having different properties and the neighbor not being able to see you as well when the lights are off. i wanna make him feel realistic as possible. sort of a mix between his pre alpha and alpha 2 ai

there is actually another place that is a good chunk but still inaccessible and i'm pretty sure the animals work normally there or maybe not BUT the whole place should not have been locked because its perfectly fine. place is pretty much in between the L and N in AMBARINO
Honestly looks amazing, kind of disappointing yet amazing that the quality and passion that goes into these fan games is greater than what went into the actual game.
How do you make the neighbor can open the door and close it?
i use box collisions on either side of the door and he plays the right animation depending on the side he's on, and once he finishes overlapping the box collisions the door closes

no education whatsoever. im a highschool graduate and i managed to get into it. it just takes practice and a lot of patience. and tutorials in my case, lol

Tbh I think that should only be the case for the front, back, and garage doors. I'm sure most people wouldn't really care if random doors around their house were open or not
