The way the neighbor had his arms out when he got closer took me off guard and actually made him kinda scary, it’s like the dude is becoming more human each time despite him been a fictional character
The Prototype, Pre Alpha and Alpha 1 were the only games I've been completely invested graphic and gameplaywise (even if there were a fair ammount of bugs). I was getting disheartened that there would never be a game that looked like that, so seriously, thanks! The fangame looks incredible, especially with 3 months of experience. If you added a paypal or somewhere to donate I'd gladly give you a couple bucks, will certainly be looking forward to the first and following releases. Hope you are having a great day : )

This games (hn early alphas) had this mysterious vibe back then because we didn't know what was in the basement. I would not add a basement and make the ending like when we unlock the door and try to open it the screen sets to black and sound of opening doors plays (like the ending in alpha 1.5). In my opinion it would be the best ending (original pre alpha doesn't have basement) but it's ur fangame so add the basement later on if you want. Can't wait to see how it will be + looking forward for full walkthrough of this on your channel when game will came out
I really like this. The game has some big potential, and i hope that some more unused content like a playermodel or moving furniture etc. I really hope this game will be good
I have an idea/suggestion for the game maybe make it so when you throw stuff at windows (that can break windows) they go through the window instead of bouncing back on impact

Good stuff! I have another suggestion: Have the neighbor get more and more angry every time you are caught (meaning he runs faster each time you are caught), adding another layer of challenge to the game. I think this was in Alpha 1 but I'm not entirely sure.

That could also lead into adding the original idea of him throwing items in places or at the player, like in the presentation animation. Yeah, it's interesting that this mechanic was scrapped, cus sometimes it honestly takes him longer to break down a door than to find a different path. Pair that with how speedy the player can be, and it can trivialize things. The fact doors just won't open if something is in front of it, due to the physics, also makes it really easy to just block the Neighbor out of a room you're in.
Really looking forward to this fangame! Question though. Are you planning on adding that thing the neighbor did in the prototype where he looped back and jumped out the window? I haven't seen a single fangame do it. Also, I AM looking forward to this.

@@Varielgt are you using the neighbor skeleton from alpha 1 as well? i exported both the animation and the skeleton. then import the skeleton into blender, then import the animation. go to the animation timeline and select the animation. then export as an fbx and import to unreal using the neighbor skeleton.
I have another idea (the others are in your replys on the pinned comment) when pressing e on the toaster it turns on, this could be used as a distraction, once the toaster goes off the neighbor goes to it, also the when you take off a bulb and it makes the sound the neighbor should go to it and replace it (another distraction) you could also throw a bulb somewhere to break it (again another distraction)
I have an idea for the game, this could be alot of work but you could make an ingame house builder or different houses to traverse through (by that i just mean fixing up the prototype).
its somewhat hard to explain in just a single youtube comment. but in short, whenever you get caught have the items check to see if they're on your property or not
@@TheAmazingPeterB basically whenever you set items positions when you get caught, check first if they're on the player property. i used a box collision with a that sets a variable to true.

one thing I'd change is make the ai not being able to see you more in depth. Such as him loosing you around a corner and guessing your hiding spot or location somewhere in front of him instead of just knowing what room you ran into and spot you hid in because the 15 seconds didn't go up

When you turn the empty light socket and try put a bulb in it you die because of the electricity,this would be great feature
