My favorite Easter Egg is the one that we know why neku is egdy:
adding what neku says in the death of rhyme "it's like that time" and what his says in Pork City (On Another Day) about how a friend of his died and he couldn't save him, we can deduce that this also happened in the normal timeline and for the trauma of seeing his friend die, Neku distances himself from people so as not to live the same.
I always think about this detail when I listen to runaway if it comes up in my playlist. This poor kid lost his best friend at a really young and impressionable age, the one person who could relate to him gone. So he shut his heart away from the world, afraid of new connections because the idea of him losing them at any sudden moment. Which happens to him three times in his game (Rhyme, Shiki, Joshua). My heart hurt so much for Neku but I’m so happy that he was able to still rise above that to become his best self and it really goes to show how much his life changed from being in the game and how strong his conviction had become.
12:05 apparently that’s also a pun on the word “sou ka” which can be translated along the lines of “I see” which probably lines up with Sho assessing that he can kill Joshua now. Know that from hearing the word a lot in anime lol.

One of my favorite references in the game is how the pins 276 to 279 were references to japanese gaming magazines on the japanese version of the game. Also the final fantasy callouts with the pins based on the series's summons
Another interesting (and very minor) detail is how the material items (Scarletite, Rare metal, etc) are gifted to the player in the order the take on the pinlist, they number of gems on the pin's image also corresponds to their order

Since you covered some music I’m gonna throw out that The Death March versions of songs are from Ishimoto’s real life band The Death March which took it’s inspiration from Def March in game. There’s a few other “unnamed” NPCs that get names on another day despite appearing in the main game, notably “Shrimp” Makoto’s boss obsessed with Reaper Creeper. There’s more that could be talked about if one wanted to get pedantic enough but those are the ones from the top of my head.
As someone who played Solo Remix (found a way to play it for free) I can say it pretty much has the same references up to Another Day. The Coco cutscene doesn't matter. She just provides in-app purchases in Solo Remix.
Shiki is also named Green because her Envy was higashizawas secret spice, even saying she was green with it!

oh and on another day in the room of reckoning when it's all red you can see a winged figure sitting in the composer's chair only on DS I believe
and this one probably doesn't count because it can't normally be encountered but is kinda funny there's a section on the DS debug menu that'll take you to a pink screen with some scribbles on it and text that directly mentions the movie Soylent Green I'd assume it's only in the English version but I couldn't get debug menu in the japanese version no matter what I tried
Finally a new video! Btw Rindos voice actor tweeted 6 days ago "Kingdom Hearts" after 2 days "Kindom Hearts II" and then "Kingdom hearts III". Do you think this has a meaning or is he just doing that to troll us😭 cause I really want the twewy gang in Kingdom Hearts
I believe Paul has stated that being in Kingdom Hearts is one of his dream roles! I doubt that his tweets are a confirmation that it's happening but I wouldn't be surprised if he did get to voice Rindo in a future game.

Someday goes extremely hard as a boss theme, ngl. Having played the DS version first, it's surprising but it really crowns the climax of week 2 for me.
I know this video is a little old but I'd like to add how Sho having traits for both the lion and the boar is also shown in his personality. His ambition to take out the one on top and become the new ruler of shibuya matches the lion while his recklessness and intelligence matches the boar
There is a strange parallel between Sho and Mr. Mew in how both can be seen as either a cat or a pig depending on how you look at them

About the lvl i flare, real numbers are not a multiple of i. Basically, when you add i to real numbers, you get complex numbers with a real part and an imaginary part. Only of the real part is 0 will the complex number be a multiple of i (as FF only allows integers as the multipliers to apply to get the target's lvl, and i is not an integer).
However, since the action does not take place in the real world/RG, it can be assumed that players have a real part of 0 and are pure imaginary numbers. This could help explaining why Joshua was (somewhat) safe.
When I played Union Cross/ X, I always had the Neku medal on my main team cause KH got me into twewy in the first place lol. I also used a lot of Org13 medals but we dont talk about that.

As someone who is learning Japanese, I has a real moment when the word rabbit came up. I'm used to 兎 being the word for rabbit and the word that came up looks a lot like 卵、which is egg, so I read her name wrong at first and was really confused about where the zodiac symbol was supposed to be. 😅
There's probably a pun somewhere in this about rabbit eggs.
