Character Modeling Stream - 12 hours in 6 minutes!
I started streaming on Twitch last week. This character took a total of about 12 hours. I learned a lot about grooming as well as why working in-pose for a piece like this was a bad idea.
The pixelation about halfway through is obscuring my webcam feed. I don't mind showing my face but since this video is sped up about 10,000x there's no benefit to it and I just look silly.
I would like to stream on TH-cam instead of Twitch. Let me know if you would be interested in watching in the comments.
I used Blender 3.0 and ZBrush to make this.

Quick Tip: Rigging Eyes in Blender with Rigify
มุมมอง 16K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Rigging eyes using Rigify is not very intuitive. You have to search for the bones to parent them to and they are initially hidden. In this quick tip I will show you where to find those bones and how to bind your model's eyes to them.
Quick Tip: Weight Painting in Blender When Using Rigify
มุมมอง 40K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Just a quick tip on how to set up for weight painting when you have are using Rigify. Took me a minute to figure out that the deformation bones are on a single layer that gets hidden by default. Check out Todor over at CGDive on TH-cam. Everything I talk about in this video I learned from him. His Rigify tutorial series is absolutely brilliant and you need to buy it right now on Artstation. The...
Facial Rigging Made Easy with Blender and Rigify

Another rigify video to again show how powerful and easy to use this tool really is. Links to the two extra rigify tools shown briefly in the video: Cessen's Rigify Extensions - github.com/cessen/cessen_rigify_ext Experimental Rigs by Alexander Gavrilov - github.com/angavrilov/angavrilov-rigs I make no claims regarding the functionality or reliability of these tools. They add some extra samples...
Super Fast and Easy Rigging in Blender with Rigify

Important edit to this video description. I wish I could change the video but I neglected to give proper credit to Todor over at CGDive on TH-cam. Everything I talk about in this video I learned from him. His Rigify tutorial series is absolutely brilliant and you need to buy it right now on Artstation. The mesh I used is his creation as well and I thank him for letting me use it in my video. I ...
Animation Series #3: Bouncing Ball and Obstacles

I have seen variations on this over the years. Learned more about timing and spacing but messed up the squash and stretch. I mention Ian Hubert in the video. He is awesome. You definitely want to check him out. th-cam.com/channels/bmxZRQk-X0p-TOxd6PEYJA.html www.patreon.com/IanHubert
Animation Series #2: The Pendulum
มุมมอง 1074 ปีที่แล้ว
Second in my learning animation series. The pendulum taught me more about timing and spacing as well as how to use to graph editor to adjust timing and limit the amount of keyframes which makes editing your animation easier. No commentary this time. Just a timelapse.
Animation Series #1: The Bouncing Ball
มุมมอง 1794 ปีที่แล้ว
I have tried to learn character animation for years and years with lots of frustration and no success. I am going to make a concentrated effort by starting at the beginning and working my way up. To that end I am starting with the task that just about every student starts with. The bouncing ball. Leave your comments about other animations you would like to see me take on. Remember I am starting...

Hello, Do the eyes have to have they're pivot point in individual origins and their origins in the center of each of them? this worked for me but the eyes bulge out of the head when I move the controls

Hey, we're in the 2024, does Blender improved this? I can't believe that with CTRL+B for bevel we don't have an extra button to push to avoid proprtional bevels.

    • @GetGoodwithVince
      @GetGoodwithVince 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

Check the scale of the object under Item -> Transform. If X, Y, and Z are not set to 1.000 then the apply didn't work.

If anybody is confused how to select both the eyes and bones at the same time, go to Edit > Lock Object Modes and disable that. Then select the armature in pose mode. Then go back to your eye mesh in object mode, select it FIRST, then select the eye bone you need.
