Step-by-Step Guide: Assembling the Velotric Nomad 1 E-Bike
i’ve been looking at this bike for a while. i’m almost 6ft tall, and i was wondering how tall you were so i could kind of take a guess at how it would fit me
I just put mine together and my rear brake is rubbing. What does that mean and how can I fix it. I don't think I can repack this to send it back nor do I want to if I don't need to. What do I do?
Thank you for the video. I'm purchasing one of these next week. Looks like you live in the North Fontana area . That looks like Glen Helen Parkway
Thank you for watching! You’re absolutely correct - it is Glen Helen Parkway. Enjoy your bike! ⚡️🚴♂️⚡️
I bought one... i put a 72volt 16amp battery on it ... twice the power doubled the range and i also removed the top speed limiter .....
That’s so cool! Thanks for watching!
What is the max current it draws under load? Is 1500w the peak or the nominal? Going to AKEZ site it seems it only has a 28amp controller which is 28x48v = 1344 watts max. A little lower than the 1500w claimed. However at full charge at 54.6 volts the theoretical maximum is 1546w however with voltage sag you are never going to get that. I want to know if possible when putting it on the "current" setting on the display what maximum current you get out of it. Have you tried adjusting the wheel diameter to make the speedometer accurate? Thanks. Great video.
Hiya! I'm wondering if you have thoughts on how to turn the forks around. I received my Velotric Nomad with the forks installed backwards. Their customer service sent me a video on disassembling the fork but not on just turning it around. Do you have thoughts on the ease of this? Thank you!
what is the IPX water resistance rating?
Should I change the battery? they say it's a fire hazard
Thanks for watching! I’ve had no problems with the battery. Who is saying it’s a fire hazard.
I'm wondering, should I buy another fifty cc scooter from china or that e bike that you have their
Hey Thanks for doing this. Looks like a good review. I was looking at 1. I'm curious if I should get something to give me more power. Is actually looking at a small town? A new fifty c c uh scooter, if comparably priced while it's chinese, you know, but it's not americ
NIce bike but 14v is a little too low a voltage for me 🙂
What did you put in to get it to 36+
I’m 5’11, would I be too tall for the bike? I have a slender athletic build weigh about 168-170
Thank you for watching. If you’re just going to ride it using the twist throttle, no problem. But if you are going to try to pedal it, you may find it too small. Hope this helps! 👍
@ thank you! Just subscribed!
This is all stock footage and doesn’t have a single real picture of the actual area.
Thanks for watching.
I need to replace the screw to this bike that holds the handle bar to the bike and I’ve been to three stores. Can anyone tell me the screw I need so I can replace it? Please and thank you in advance.
Where can I find brake pads for a c1s driver scooter? Please help I can't find them anywhere
I was looking at building a moped style ebike and I really like this frame. I saw a similar frame on Aliexpress but it's 600$. I can't understand how they manage to sell this eBike for 1300$ when alone the frame (600$) + 1500W rear hub motor kit (330$) + 48V 20AH for 100-1500W Motor (250$) is a total of 1180$. 🤔 So, it's not even worth trying to build my own eBike when I could just buy this one for cheaper.
I purchased this ebike on Amazon for $1199, and I’m really impressed with both the quality and their excellent customer service. I’m so happy with it that I plan to get one for my son before Christmas!
Can the bike be ridden without the battery like any normal bike what’s your thoughts?
Thanks for watching! It can be ridden without the battery, but the e-bike would still weight over 40 lbs., because of the motor. it’s doable, but would take more effort than a normal bike. I hope this helps 👍
@ thanks can’t wait for it to arrive tomorrow W vid 🔥
The pedal assist settings cap off your throttle speed? That doesn’t seem right.
Thank you for watching. I just went and checked the speed limiter. The speed is limited in each pedal assist level, even when controlled by the throttle. That is how it is set from the factory. The M5 controller may be able to be setup to get around this, but this is the factory setting.
@@everythingebike Trying to find that setting in the P menus. I have another bike with an M5 and it doesn't do that. But I have this one too and it does. Weird.
36v 😂 might aswell walk
Thanks for watching!
Let's see you walk at 18.5 mph. You can't? Then stop punching the keys and put your panties on. The Gyroor C1S is a great machine not intended for couch warriors.
I ordered my Gyroor C1S, only issue i have wish the Footpegs could lock in place, sometimes they will slide forward causing you to not feel stable when riding.
Thank you for watching. I think the foot pegs may have been an afterthought after adding the big basket. Without it, you’d have the whole deck to use. Thank you for commenting. I really appreciate it! 👍👍👍
I came to watch people's thoughts on this bike but.. how the hell are you recording yourself riding like this!? You can see the entire bike and for the life of me I can't see the mount for the camera in the footage! I think I see one in the first person view, but the third person view is like there's a drone following you. This is gonna bug me to no end! lol
Thanks for watching. I use a GoPro to film the first person point of view and an Insta360 X3 with a magic stick and a clamp to film the third person point of view. I change sides with the Insta360 during the ride. The magic stick and camera are clamped to the front fork. With the Insta360, you can move the point of view in post editing. Hope that helps! 👍
@everythingebike I see. And that erases the Magic stick from the video? Does it use AI or something?
The stick attaches at the bottom of the camera and is out of the field of view of the 360 lens.
Huh. It has to erase it some way. Because the front fork is visible from the third person view. The entire bike is...
I think you’re correct. There is very sophisticated software involved.
wow. I was looking at this bike since last year but there is virtually no reviews on it back then. I loved the look of it and the colour being NOT black was also a plus. Thanks for this! looks like they've changed things a little and upgraded some stuff since I first looked at it. They need a dual motor version with big battery. and I doubt they ship to Canada.
Thank you for watching! It's a fun bike! 😎
@@everythingebike did you try and see if the speed can be unlocked?
@@eugene188 same recently been looking at this bike and i also live in canada its on ali express and they ship to canada but not sure if i should risk it
Lol, your knees are nearly hitting your arms! All these moped style ebikes look lovely but I need a height adjustable seat so none of them are appropriate for me sadly.
Thanks for watching. That’s exactly why I showed it. The moped style e-bikes are fun, but you’ll never get any exercise riding them. An adjustable saddle would be the best! 👍👍👍
@@everythingebike It really is a shame as they are amazing and I can't stop watching reviews of them. The prices are so low, the specs so high. Everything ticks all of the boxes apart from the seat problem! I guess fat wheels are another problem when it comes to efficiency. I can't imagine trying to ride one of these things home if you ever ran out of battery. Good luck with that!
I have a 20” folding fat tire bike that I was reviewing on a ride at Mammoth Lakes, CA and the battery became disconnected. I ended up riding 7 miles back with no power, just gears. It’s an 78 lb e-bike and it took some work.
@@everythingebike Me and my girlfriend have ridden ebikes for 6+ years now and our 26" bikes both ran out on the way home recently for the first time ever. Getting up hills felt like we were pedaling through thick syrup. Ebikes have made us feel like we are superhuman and the realisation that we are in fact not when the battery runs out is quite a shock to the system! Happy riding :)
I have this, if u go mode 3, full throttle as needed, at 140 lbs (plus work bag and lunchbox, 155 maybe?) normal city hills and speed bumps with good bike paths, you have about 10 miles before it tanks. It must be charged to full each ride. Love the way it rides, goes 18 mph easy but wish it had a longer battery, actual 20mph at that speed would make this my preferred commuting vehicle.
Thank you for watching and for the information on range. My test ride is about an 8 mile loop. After starting with a full battery, it was down to about 1/4 charge. The deck limits the size of the battery. Thanks again, good stuff! 👍👍👍
@@everythingebike once you get to 1/4 charge you have about 5 minutes at 3 mph before it just shuts off. I would argue you really have 4 charging blocks before you need to just get off, not 5. I’m looking for ways to install a bigger battery. I really enjoy the scooter but i don’t know for certain if I’ll be able to charge it at work.
@@everythingebikeupdate I’ve had it about a month….story is the same, if using mode 2 or 3 u have about 10 miles before it dies out. Also, it takes gradual hills well, the motor will over work on steep hills, will slow to 3 miles per hour. I like it…but it really isn’t worth it if the battery can’t be increased.
I have this, if u go mode 3, full throttle as needed, traveling between 12 and 18 mph…at 140 lbs (plus work bag and lunchbox, 155 maybe?) normal city hills and speed bumps with good bike paths, you have about 10 miles before it tanks. Steep hills it goes incredibly slow. It must be charged to full each ride. If the seat hight should be able to adjusted ,and that diamond area is begging for a bigger battery
Thanks for watching. The seat is not adjustable. And there is a version available with two batteries.
Make videos for each State.
Thanks for watching! Will do. I appreciate the support!
Can confirm about electrification helping with long(er) rides. Just got back from 35 miles to and from a grocery store.
Thanks for the watching, and for the confirmation! Without the battery and motor, my wife and I would not be able to complete some very beautiful rides.
Web site please
Thanks for watching! You can find the scooter at gyroor.com/collections/all/products/electric-scooter-with-seat-for-adults-550w-ample-storage-for-pets-cargo
Excellent
Thank you so much 😀
The American River Bikeway (31 miles) in California runs from Beal’s Point at Folsom Lake to downtown Sacramento. All paved and protected. It’s especially scenic along the river on the first 8 miles of it. Highly recommend!
Thank you for watching and for the suggestion. I looked it up and it's a trip my wife and I have to take! 👍👍👍
Great job for the detailed process 👍
Thanks for watching! I’m glad it helped.
Too many bikers like this guy that think it's their personal race track.
Thank you for watching.
I saw a used one and this guy said the chain/peddal needs to be tightened and that the throttle deosnt work because if that if you’d give me advice that would be great
Thanks for watching! Try checking all of the cable connections and then check the connections to the controller under the seat. Best of luck!
Would if fit a 5’1 person?
Thank you for watching. Yes, it will fit. Should be easy to pedal.
I don’t think so, seat height is like 32 inches. You should measure your inseam
Just ordered one with your discount code. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy your scooter. 👍👍👍
Pima County has done a good job with this project. It is very popular and can get a little tricky with walkers, casual bikers and racing bikers all on the same track. Unfortunately, just last month the county has deemed it necessary to put security patrols on some sections in dicey parts of town.
Thank you for watching and for the information. The racing bikers went by me so fast, I felt like I was standing still.
Thank you ver kindly for your video. Awesome tutorial. I just unpacked my bike and the front tire doesn't have air. I hope it's not punctured.😢
Thank you for watching and for the encouragement. Air up the tire and see how it holds. Good luck!
At 4:52 your video shows the Santa Cruz pier, not Ventura. Come on, man!
Thank your for watching. Sorry about the bad footage. It's hard to find sometimes if you can't be there to film it. I also pronounced Carpenteria incorrectly.
I have the 14in version. My streets have hills No where neer 25 mile range. 10 miles at most with the 7amp battery. This is with my 100lb kid. I’m 235lb and it doesn’t max the speed until the 2nd street. Too slow. The last battery bar . The scooter takes a dump and you won’t get past 10mph. Total of 3 trips back and forth to the park. Up say great for kids. Way better than the stand up scooters. Feels much safer. If you thinking of a gift now is the time they are so cheap compare to premium scooters. And build quality and bigger wheels is hard to let this pass.
Thanks for watching and all the good information about your scooter!
If you in the southeast, the New River Trail in VA is a good choice. Not paved but it is crushed packed gravel that produces a hard smooth surface and is very well maintained. May not quite as spectacular as some of those out west but much closer to home for many and beautiful scenery.
Thank you for watching and for the information of the New River Trail. Sounds like something I need to put on my bucket list!
Is it still working? I am abt to buy this but i want to make sure it is dualable
Thanks for watching! It’s still going strong, one of my favorites to ride.
I enjoy Fox News……..additionally, my wife and I own 4 e-bikes. We absolutely love them. Our biggest e-bike concern isn’t Fox News, it’s the banning of e-bikes in public parks, recreational areas and beaches. A video covering the issue of banning e-bikes may be more helpful to those of us who love e-bikes…….
Thank you for watching. I'll look into the banning issue!
FYI The Loop started it's history shortly after the major floods of 1983 in southern Arizona . The idea was to create buffer zones for flood control while at the same time making a awesome multi use trail system. As can be seen on THE LOOP maps it also connects many attractions and encourages the use of non polluting ways to get around .
Thanks for watching and for telling me the background of the Loop. Sounds like they had a great plan!
The tunnels on Elroy,Sparta are not safe to ride through due to so much rain. I fell in tunnel one, there are signs that say walk your bike, follow that
Thank you for watching! I appreciate the information you give about the conditions. Much appreciated!
I wouldn't support kamala because she hasn't showen that she deserves to be in office. Her disrespect for Isreal is evil. She has ignored our county's border crisis. She is radically trying to destroy our economy with policies that put adversaries first over our own people.
Thanks for watching.
You’re pedaling incorrectly for an ebike. Pedaling fast is just wasting energy. It’s a rhythm of the electric pull you have to get down. It’ll take you much more energy. You should be able to feel when the electric is going. But great video
Thanks for watching. I agree about the rhythm. But I find that on most of these moped style e-bikes, my legs are too long to pedal, and I just rely on throttle.
I bought the same bike and I been commuting 25 miles one way and is been awesome. I really recommend it, an excellent bike very comfortable I am 5 ‘10 fits me perfectly
Did u get it from aliexpress? And what's its top speed?
Top speed is 35 mph I got it from the facebook marketplace
Would it fit for a 5’1 person?

Thank you for watching and for your recommendation! I appreciate it!
Technically e-bikes are not allowed on The Loop. But there is no way this will ever get enforced. The Loop is under control of Pima County Flood Control (that's another story, but it's true). They have zero ways to enforce the ban of e-bikes on the Loop. Thus, enforcement falls to the jurisdiction of whatever city or town has that part of the Loop running through it. There are about 6 of them for the 103 miles of The Loop. As you can imagine, they have better things to do with their police officers than send them out to ticket e-bikes. And in fact, 2 of these 6 are on record of being in favor of e-bikes on their section. So, come to Tucson, ride your e-bikes on The Loop and enjoy. Just fly under the radar a little by not going 25 mph on the path and not even be pedaling. Technically, another unenforceable law is a speed limit of 15 mph on the Loop. See you on The Loop.
Thank you for watching and for the clarifications! I appreciate it. See you on The Loop!
