I'm 73 and lucky to be alive! April 22, 2023 I had a ebike wreck with no helmet. I was knocked unconscious for over 10 minutes after trying to make a hi speed left curve with the kickstand down. In addition, I fractured my C-1 vertebrae! I just got my neck brace off after 12 weeks, for my broken neck and I now wear a helmet, won't ride without it...
Thank you for watching and contributing to the channel. I think your story shows how important a good e-bike helmet can be. Take good care of yourself!
You mentioned that the bones of the face could not withstand an impact of 20 miles an hour but that helmet does nothing to protect the face. If you are truly concerned about the safety of those bones wouldn't you wear a helmet with a face protector like a motocross helmet or a full face motorcycle helmet? Just curious...
Thank you for watching and contributing! Most full face helmets for bicycles and e-bikes meet the CSPC standards, some with ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) shells, some with PC (Polycarbonate) shells. Some do have a MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) liner that will help in head rotational problems during impact. A person could move a level up into a DOT (Dept of Transportation) rated motorcycle helmet if they feel the need for greater protection. I haven't seen any specially made full face helmets that meet NTA8776 standards. So, for speeds between 15 and 28 mph, I feel that the Junjam e-bike helmet is a pretty good alternative. 👍👍👍

very informative thanks, I agree with this, I also have a e bike helmet and I don't get on my bike without it
Thank you so much! An e-bike helmet is just a good common sense. Limit the risk. 👍👍👍
