Hello TH-cam,
I live in SW Idaho and love the outdoors, western lifestyle. I'm a God fearing man, father, and patriot.
I create stuff that I have a hard time finding on TH-cam. Though it may not be a large viewership, it will be over some stuff that hopefully will help others with questions I had on topics. These will range from hunting gear, lineman gear, to diesel truck issues to politics. When I get a moment, I'll make a video. The more I do, the more ideas I have. So stay posted, hopefully I can help someone as much as others have helped me. Thanks for watching.

how long b4 first Regen? I'm at 100 hours still no Regen. I'm told 200 hours is normal for a KUKJE A2300 engine. that's the best thing , that there KUKJE mech fuel inj. 6500 lbs with rim guard
steel weights be nice
nice piece! i have a 2022 TYM T494 same as 574 but no TURBA
$300 is a good deal, I have seen similar tools like this just do not know the name of them.
Did you have any problems when bolting the windshield on. The spacers seem too long. Or Maybe the shop is too cold to let the gasket to flatten enough to get the spacers washer and nut on. Or maybe the bolts could have been longer than 40 mm. Thx for video.
@@JohnHarrington-s6s no, pretty much everything went together. The spacers do want to fall out of alinement while your putting bolt in, but did not seem too long. If they are too long, maybe grind them down to length? I had to get a rubber Mallet and tap the windshield gasket on to make it seat all the way down. It went further than I thought it did.
@@jasoncox3402 Got it figured out. it was easy when I put the spacers where they are supposed to go. Now one more question. The struts they sent me seem to long. I'm in SW Idaho. If I was in your neck of the woods I would drive over and see how long yours are in the window closed position. Thanks for the quick reply.
@ Those are adjustable via the latch handle Close the wind shield and adjust to the struts length
The concern i have is using a gaiter with the boa system. The gaiters i have use a metal hook to grab onto the front and lowest lace loop, but i think it could either damage tthe wire boa, or would easily come off of it. Anyone used a gaiter like that with a boa?
@@kylemann3318 I use the First Lite gators all the time with these. Works great! Take a second to adjust the gators and I don’t see why they would not work
Where is rain cover?
@@nathanboyd2137 it is in a zippered pocket on the bottom of the pack and works well
Great video demonstration. Thank you!
I ran into that problem too, I just unscrew one of the water drains a little bit until you hear the pressure come out and then I open it
What is that ring on the windshield?
@@Steve-hc7ix it is superatv’s logo
Are these steel toe? I see a lot of my fellow lineman wear Zamberlan.
No these are not steel toe. I am unaware of a Zamberlan with steel toe but they may have them. As a lineman I have worn these too or a different pair of Zamberlans.
Take your shop vac hose and put it on the exhaust side. Stick it out a window taped on the filter and blow all that out from the inside out. If it is not a oil coated filter you can do the same by filling the inside w water and letting it dry fully afterward Happy trails my frens
Yeah hosed off … 2x. Air hosed inside out, rinsed again with water. Spackle in warm soapy water Then ran the Fab 1 air filter cleaner 2X and put up the dry overnight and will get to tonight.
Good video!
I have the very same issue with my driver side door. I’m at the top of the socket latch and I still have to push down a little bit on the door. Wish you could get a longer one.
I had that too Loosen the back, and the striker pin bracket. The latch the door fully closed, pull the whole door to the latch and down a bump, check gap. Then tighten the bolts back up WITH THE DOOR STILL LATCHED. That is what worked best for me and now with 75 miles on these doors no issues with opening or closing, been very happy with them
I just finished installing the super atv aluminum doors this weekend. It was quite the adventure.
I bought a pair recently. The Zamberlan 4014 LYNX MID GTX RR BOA . Absolutely the most comfortable boot I've ever worn. Pricey at $500 but well worth it.
Yeah I will say after the break in they are MINT!
THANK YOU Jason for coming!
Have you tried Lowa boots? I'm pretty much down the the Zamberlan 4014 and the Lowa Tibet GTX. At the moment I can get the Lowa's for about $100 less. I kind of like the look of these a bit more, but not sure if that's worth the extra money realistically :)
i could bring those boots back to like new with in 2 hours less than re soleing them buddy buy zamberlans boot care products they are cheap as hell and work deadly.I have 5 different types of Zamberlan boots which I have been wearing for the last 8 years.resole and do some leather care and you will the boots for another 8 years, cheers from Canada
I have had these for 1.5 years and love them. The cable slides with little friction, which allows the tension to equalize quickly following any adjustment. I found the US Size 13 (Euro 48) to run small, and I regret not returning them for US Size 14. And although they have held up just great, finally now I have the Size 14 on order. Cabelas has a killer deal on the variant that has more of a black sole, with some yellow.
I only hunted for 15 mins lol nice
I bought this pack in 2020, it's ok, hard to adjust and the bow carry thing ripped while going through heavy brush. I bought a different pack and now use this one for hauling and a loaner pack.
Has anyone carried a hang on stand and sticks with this?
My tree stand does fit in the meat packing section Not sure about the size of the sticks, but I’m sure between the gun/bow boot, the side pockets and all the straps they will have a home
I have the same problem. I have the same ice chest.🤷🏼♂️
Open the drain be fast so your water don’t leak everywhere.
Me no words
I just tried this at Outdoor World. Loved the feel. Those clips are somethong else lol, but seem firm. I thought it was a pretty slick low cost way to attach the loops instead of a ton of extra adjustable cliplocks. Look forward to purchasing it.
Those are vent holes for your balls
It did work well for that
Watched all 3 videos 4 years later. Thanks buddy!
Ha, thanks for watching none the less and hope it was helpful
How did the boot do during your elk season. Would you recommend to buy them?
Oh fantastic ! But I will say there is a break in period with the width even for a “normally wide” men’s foot The boa system … while nice in the dark morning to lace up, honestly I could take it or leave it. Nice to quick cinch up or loosen 2-3 clicks, but takes a min to get tight which I like and a good amount of force. Waterproofing is well done and still haven’t found anything better… I have plans to snow shield them just to not make the water proofing work as hard and hope to make it last 5 years or more like my last pair.
So sorry so late…. I would very much recommend these IF you can find a deal. They are not worth $500, but $3 to 350 heck yes. Second elk season done and they are great!
Excellent video and detailed walk thru and demo. thank you.
Hope it helped and glad you enjoyed it thanks
Hey bud, did you get your normal size with the Meindls or go down half a size like Hoffmann website suggests?
Yeah I got normal size
👍 right on thanks
That never happens with my Yetis. I bought an Rtic and has the same issue....such a pain. Open a plug to release pressure and water dribbles out.
My yeti has but not to that extent I do know to open the drains to release the pressure More of an … holly crap check this out video lol
They shoukd just upgrade their pants by sewing a 50:50 polyester/cotton layer inside about the size of oversized boxers. That way the parts that stretch are reinforced for real. Could also put in on the inside of the knees and the shins. For a hunter they would keep all the quiet benefits of wool and no shine but increase durability.
That is about exactly what they did on the new version of these pants, and the ones they sent me to replace those. So far, love the new ones as much as the original
I have had some quality issues with their pants, and I have gone to something else. I just can’t afford to pay that much for pants and have to deal with that.
Sorry to hear that. FL customer service was top notch for me and the next three pants I go from them are solid.
Thanks for the review, I'm in the same boat as you, trying to find meat hauler backpack under $300 and have just use little day packs my whole life so trying to figure out how big of a pack I need in addition the little things that make big differences. Again thanks for the review
I have come to like this pack, recommend it for that price
I think it’s just something people need to be aware of when using merino wool. It’s just the trade off of that material. I be had mine for 3 seasons without issue and have packed out animals.
True and body type has a lot to do with it was well. FL’s new version of this pant (which they traded me out fast at their cost) are great, review coming up soon
What’s up with sizing do they run big or small
I run 9.5 to 10’s, these where true to size at the 10’s I ordered
Just open the drain plug to let the pressure out, also no one wants to take your guns
Your buddy Beto thinks differently, I invite both of y’all to try it.
@@jasoncox3402 all he wants to do is repeal permitless carry and enforce background checks on Pvt sales. Not too sure how this takes away anyone’s guns.
@@shawn2481 th-cam.com/video/lMVhL6OOuR0/w-d-xo.html
Cut about 1/16” off the rubber gasket. And yes Biden’s wants to take your guns. He admitted it.
I’ve been wearing Meindl’s for the past 5 years, they have been amazing. Comfortable, dry and protective.
Late to the party but thanks for this review and especially the explanation on how to adjust the shoulder straps for torso length.
Meindl boots are excellent..
There's two little loops next to the waist straps, you thread the waist straps through there and use them like pulleys to really sinch down the pack onto your waist. Thats why those waist straps look so long. They're not meant to hang down
Yeah I did that and they still hang. Found that out after this video
@@jasoncox3402 👍thanks for the video
DO YOU HAVE A CASIO MUDMASTER ?
HELLO, DO YOU STILL HAVE THE MULTI PACK DAY 4000? WHAT IS THE STATUS? CAN YOU STILL USE IT?
Yes I still have it and used it again this year. Packed out three elk with it now and it has done well. Still kinda squeaks, but over all a good pack, almost a great pack for the money
@@jasoncox3402 THANK YOU, I JUST BOUGHT ONE FROM ARGENTINA, WE WILL SEE HOW GOOD IT IS
Hello Sir and viewers, good info. much better than cheesy monotone reviews, I need to get some linesman boots how do you feel about wesco and chippewa mids? Thanks much.
I have heard nothing but good things about Wesco Boots. I have yet to own a pair but I can see they hold up to the conditions. Chippewa boots are OK at best. The water proofing in a pair I had years ago wore out quick and the comfort was eh. However, if your on the budget boot train, the Chippewa's would not be a bad choice. Just make sure they fit your foot with the arch you will or won't need.
@@jasoncox3402 ty much, any thoughts on Carolina Footwear as a decent budget option? Thanks again your video was very informative.
@@abelabner I have had Carolina boots. I would not get them again.
Duh it’s wool
Hey man what do you recommend for a good boot now days? Thinking about going to line school
Man, that has A LOT variables and consideration. For example: Do you live where it is wet or rains a lot Do you hike in a lot Is it just flat hot Those questions will answer what “model” of the company you go with Line school, you going to climb and climb some more. The boot companies I like are Hoffman, Whites Now that being said, you can climb in something like an Ariat work boot (I have a lot) What I climb in now are my Zamberlin Lynx boots. They are a hunting/mountaineering boot. If you go that route the ones I like are Zamerlin, Scarpa, and Alanso’s. La Sportiva’s are great to climb in, but about useless in durability and waterproofing So A’s you can see, there a lot of options, for school and work after school Hoffman and Whites get my vote. You’ll need Saftey toe, get composite if you can. And whatever boot you go with, you will not need a boot over 12” tall, I like 10” boots
@@jasoncox3402 I appreciate you man! I was thinking of the 10" Meindl Eureka Steel Toe Lineman. It’ll be my first boot
Just think... an engineer designed it and it went through alpha and beta testing before those designers thought it was perfect. Idiots. I just tried to open one and it's vacuumed shut.
What is your opinion of the new obsidian foundry pants you received?
Like them and do recommend them. However, they are slightly different than the original
Thanks!
