Mine is tight. no gaps no rattles. The button is almost too tight. I love this knife. A person can find a reason or way to hate something.

I don't think I have ever received a sharper factory edge than the Penguin.. and the CNC work on the blade beats knives I have that cost $80-$100 It's worth every penny of $35 for sure. And not many 3" blades have THAT MUCH cutting-edge available. It's a lot of knife for $35 good review and great footage.

Excellent video. Not only do you show how the features of the knife work, but you also show how it looks in the pocket on various types of pants. That's actually quite important. Great job!

Here in Arizona knives are regarded as tools not as weapons. Doesn’t matter what blade style, length or type of opening mechanism so in that regard I don’t leave the house without one. Because the way I see it, the world is an unpredictable place and I never know if I’ll have to deploy my otf to either defend myself or someone else. Or in the case of 99% of people who own one open more boxes containing knives or the occasional Amazon package.

If i have this tool, i replace the metal file with T shank adapter so i can use metal file or wood saw depents on the situations.

The Boker otc iis a decent knife that i kinda like. But the blade to handle ratio seems out of spec.

How do you need to dress at this facility. On their website, it says dressy, but I see guys in shorts. I'm going down for vacation, so wanna be well prepared .

Does anyone know what the straps on the shoulder straps are for? They are next to the stroller loops.

Do be honest yes otf is only for defense but it can be used as a tool just understand the downside of having a open port knife

Just got mine yesterday from Blade HQ. I have approximately 50 knives ; this is one of my favorites coming from a Spyderco & Benchmade fan.

I absolutely hate those coating on knifes… that’s nothing but a useless pocket princess

what type of glass breaker is it? If it is hardened steel it will eventually dull easily .

You are lucky, I got the same exact knife & the edge bevels were not at all close to even. So I laid the edge back to 17dps & omg it cuts like a dream now!

Will Defoe not buy this expensive crap makes a joke of made in usa . Plastic handles a big no go will get a kershaw livewire instead thanks for the insight

Solid review mate, I like how you run through the size comparison but the testing was the best part for me. Thankfully other than a seatbelt I have had to cut all the other items at different stages with my pocket knife so it was great to see a practical application assessment. Cheers.

Good review, I had to pick one up, found the rescue red and indigo on Amazon for $50

I have the Guardian Tactical and I love the knife but hated the logo on the pocket clip, because I'm not 12 years old and I don't like mall ninja, tacti-cool, "scary" fonts. I removed the pocket clip and held it over a stove flame for a few minutes with pliers, until it was red hot. When it cooled down the ugly logo was gone and I was left with a matte black clip which I put back on the knife. Looks great now. Btw, when you cut the seatbelts you held the microtech blade at a slightly steeper angle than the guardian tactical, and I think that's why it cut without lifting the harness.

Just a personal experience. I've been daily carrying the Shootout for 10 months no and I've never had a misfire, even when I play with it like an adult fidget spinner. I have had to simulate a misfire by placing it an inch from a hard surface and firing it. even then it can quickly be reset with a flick of the wrist. This isn't an ad, (I'm just saying, this puts my Chinese custom engraved OTF in the grave)

Literally tell Benchmade and send it back to them, and they'll fix it and make sure you're happy with it.
