Yeah that's something I didn't really get to showcase, but I did make permanent bound armor during the video. I kind of glossed over that fact but you can see the spell in my list if you watch carefully during the segment in front of the Ghostfence. At any rate, maybe I'll do something to showcase more of the crazy stuff you can do with the soul trap glitch in a future video!

I enjoy Skyrim as well but magic in that game is severely nerfed and a lot less interesting to mess with, in my opinion at least. I do actually have a modded build prepped for the purpose of making videos so you might see some Skyrim videos later on this month, if not afterwards. Also, as far as I know, you have to watch him put the stuff in the stump to loot it. It has something to do with quest flags, I'd assume, since he never goes to deposit items there until you get the quest from the Nord in the tradehouse.

Yeah, the stump is empty until you've watched him sneak over to put his stuff there.

Do you mean what mods am I using? Because I'm just running this on Windows 10 with the MGXE graphics extension, Morrowind Code Patch and a lot of graphical improvement mods. I could get you a list but it'll take some time to compile one since there's a lot of them.

Oh and loved how you made all the aerial shots. Made everything much more cinematic.

@@mamumurako Thanks, I'm glad you liked them and enjoyed the video! Also I disagree that 1.25x playback is the perfect speed, it feels just a little too fast. I think the ideal speed would be somewhere between normal speed and 1.25x speed, but sadly that's not an option. So, while I know it will impact my analytics negatively, I agree that 1.25x speed is the best option available for those who have an issue with the pacing.

True, Mew is more of a novelty than anything. Still, this is the earliest opportunity to acquire one in Pokemon Yellow.

I use a variety of mods but if you wanted to replicate the look these are what I use... For the landscape I use: Distant Terrain, Real Grass, Basic Roads, Low Poly Trees, Fixed Desert Architecture, Fixed Dungeon Exteriors, Interesting Eroded Terrain, World of Daggerfall Project, Docks of Daggerfall and Wilderness Overhaul. For the animated sky I use: Dynamic Skies For underwater flora I use: Aquatic Sprites. As for the cities, villages and NPC's I use: Detailed City Walls, Beautiful Villages, Soldier's Luxury, Betony Restored, Forts Overhauled - Woodborne Hall, Forts Overhauled - Llugwych, Cities Overhauled - Orsinium, Lively Cities, Vanilla Enhanced and Famous Faces of the Iliac Bay. At any rate those are all the visual mods I use for the exteriors. Enjoy!

@@theomniwildcard That's a lot. Do these tend to cause many bugs or conflicts with another mods? Which would you consider essential?

@NerveConserve None of these should conflict with other mods unless they edit the same things. I've personally not encountered any conflicts using these mods at the very least. You can find all of these mods for Daggerfall Unity on the Nexus, btw. As for what I consider essential, I'd suggest the mods I listed for the landscape at minimum. They make the region have hills and mountains instead of being entirely flat land, flesh out the environment, and fix some inconsistencies with the exteriors. They make an effective base to work with, at the very least. At any rate, I hope this helps. Enjoy!

You can literally skip the intro with the timestamps/chapters. Having an intro is not pretentious, and if it bugs you so much, just skip it. Sure the intro could be made shorter, I won't deny that, but out of all the viewers only a small amount of you seem to take issue with the intro existing. I'm not going to try and please everyone, that's frankly impossible, so if the intro rubs you the wrong way I'm sorry. If it's any consolation, I intend to cut the intro from future Morrowind videos.

Glad you enjoyed it! As for the mic, I have a good one already, I just need to fiddle with the setup more. I'm admittedly a bit inexperienced with setting up microphones for recording purposes. I did get a decent tip to try cutting out certain frequencies and it did sound better. So some of the later videos will hopefully have better voice quality.

I don't plan to do exclusively TES content, but this months videos were both meant to celebrate Morrowind's 22nd anniversary and give me a way to branch out into content outside my usual Pokemon-related content. I'll likely continue doing TES content alongside my regular content moving forward, though. Also, don't worry, you weren't too forward. This particular video was the product of a little over a week of work, so I'm just glad the effort paid off.

Yeah Morrowind definitely was one of the harder entries, in terms of the early game, to deal with if you didn't build your character class properly or abuse exploits.

You're perfectly welcome to skip the intro via the timestamps/chapters in the description of the video. I understand that the intro might be too long to some folks but the option to skip it is always there.

@Ks-yq4xt A fair point, I could've written that part differently to reflect the fact that there's a long intro. However, I mostly wanted to do something special for the first videos covering an entry in the franchise. That is why the introductions were put into place and why the Daggerfall Easter Eggs video also retains its intro. In either case I've removed the intro from the other Morrowind videos so that these complaints will be satisfied, but I don't plan to cut it from this video at this time.

Well I admit I could pick up the pace slightly. However, I feel it should be noted that this video was also the product of over a week of work. So some of the slower pacing might've been purely from exhaustion. As for the microphone it's more that I need to fiddle with the settings some more. I'm still not as familiar with the ins-and-outs of setting one up as I probably should be. So things being slightly off with the quality is likely the result of inexperience and not the fault of the mic.

When I try to talk too quickly I start slurring words due to my speech impediment or my lisp becomes a problem. I can't please everyone and I'm doing the best I can to try and find the right balance between my pacing and clarity. I appreciate the input, however, and will try to speak a bit faster in future videos.

It's perfectly fine, I took no offense. This isn't the first time I've had to explain the reasoning for why I usually talk at that pace, and I doubt it'll be the last. Besides, I understand that my style of videos won't ever appeal to everyone. So I think the best I can do is to try and find the right balance to satisfy as many people as possible with each video instead of trying to please everyone.

I have a mic, that's just how my voice sounds. If you're referring to the audio balance I'm still trying to tweak it to be better with each video.

Thanks for the advice. I tried it out just now, and it does sound crisper. Since some of the upcoming videos are already recorded, you won't notice a difference immediately, but this should help on future videos.

@theomniwildcard that is the very first possible instance of doing this, literally 0 badges. I used to do it with the final trainer before you exit the forest from the top. But you showed another trainer near the bottom of the forest, so 2 possible trainers I guess

Not anymore, no. All legit Mews were from events and I think the one for Generation 1 was a Japan-exclusive event.

First off, it's just a video title and there's no reason to get so offended. Second, not everyone knows about every single instance where this glitch can be performed and there was no video coverage I could find on TH-cam of this particular instance prior to this video. Thirdly, to someone who has never heard of this particular case of the glitch being utilized it could be considered a secret to them and this is purely an informative video meant to show how it works. Finally, why do you even see the need to be so offended about this that you left this comment? Why is this so important to you that you see a need to "call out" someone over something that is a matter of perspective? Instead of simply looking for a reason to be upset you could've just taken this video for what it is and moved on but you chose to get all bent-out-of-shape about it instead. It's only a video title.

@@theomniwildcard I am not offended I am calling you out for being intentionally misleading in the title, I would have watched anyway if you just wrote Mew Glitch. The title implies there is something MORE to it besides the Mew as if it would unlock a secret area very few or none have seen before, which would be GIGANTIC news considering how well documented and aged the game is. Nothing more nothing less the title is a plain lie, I get the clickbait thing but be HONEST about it if you do it and don't throw a COMPLETE LIE in there. I have to admit I didn't know this specific way of doing it. Also maybe you should have combined it with the exp underflow Glitch since that can be done in Viridian Forrest too.

As for the EXP underflow glitch I had considered mentioning it at the time, but I felt it was better to be more focused for the sake of concise explanation. I'll probably cover the EXP underflow glitch along with other glitches in a future video.

@@theomniwildcard it's fine man sorry for the harsh choice of words, I am kinda like a loaded gun sometimes shoot first and think how it came across later. I'd recommend something along the lines of new Mew Glitch, or alternate Mew Glitch (sounds even better) . It's something that unites us (the series). Besides that keep it up my man, there are a few very tricky glitches if you want to try them(i failed at item underflow that shit is very complicated, if you only go by the text something like a few A4 pages ) the safari zone Glitch is nice and somewhat "easy" , but you have to count precisely.

Because the long-range Trainer in Viridian Forest isn't present in Pokemon Red or Blue version there isn't a chance to exploit this particular glitch earlier than Route 24 in those games. The glitch requires a long-range Trainer encounter to work. So, ultimately, you're limited by how many of them exist and where they're located. If you meant why they made this decision in terms of the design of the games, I couldn't really say. I could make some educated guesses but for a definitive answer you'd have to ask the Game Freak devs.

I'm glad the video helped! Definitely understand that you'd get that vibe from it. A lot of glitches in these old games had a certain mystique to them that felt like a schoolyard myth. Admittedly I couldn't remember if Roar/Whirlwind also swapped out Pokemon in Gen 1 or if that was only a later Generation thing. Tbh if it didn't then that's an error on my part but tbf the available move-pool for the Pokemon I even had that option listed for was rather limited to begin with in Gen 1. I'm glad you enjoyed the series and I hope you'll tune in when I release the next installment covering the Johto region!

True, Zapdos has always been the best of the Legendary Bird Trio in Gen I. Moltres, I agree, is still among the worst of the three but Articuno isn't much better either. I did however figure it was worth looking at Articuno within the context of being a Gen I Ice type, one of the few answers to Dragon Types, despite it being considered pretty bad.
