i got a dt 200 engine and im thinking to put it on a YZF 250 2008 .is it worth it??
could you run the incandescent on the stock stator, which wires did you splice into just to turn on with the engine
Gday! Hope you see this comment, did replacing the springs fix the issue? I’m having the same problem and at high revs it really rattles. Or if I pull hard on the accelerator in 2nd gear the valves make some horrible noises. The exhaust rocker has side to side play the same as yours. Hoping that it’s just the spring!
Hi mate what radiators did you use I watched your build awesome job I’m building one at the the moment
I used aftermarket 4stroke ones had to cut the elbows off of the 2stroke ones and weld them on. Its a little bit of work but you get bigger radiators and the shrouds fit like they should.

After a twist like that is the frame compromised? Will it get out of shape easily again?
The subframe? As long as you don’t cartwheel it she should stay. It was relaxed when installed on the bike, so there was no pressure either way.
@@robinsonmotorsports9976 hmmm okay.. good to know. I’m eying a dirt bike with a bent subframe. It’s been sitting on the marketplace for about a good minute and considering purchasing it.

@Robinson Motorsports I've got a question to you. I've got '97 Dr 650 se, and it's problem is noise of timing chain. When I start the bike, it is louder, after revving it, it is hearable, when it is idling for few moments the sound stops, until i will rev it again. What can it be? There are only a few metal shavings on the oil filter, and it is normal in my opinion. Bike's mileage is 37k kilometers, about 20k miles.
How did you get the rocker arm shaft out ??

I don't know why your buddy is having problems with his Magura HYMEC, but I've been running them on my YZ250'S since 2005 without any problems what so ever and love em. Your video kept screwing up so idk if you said what the problem is.
Thanks for the video. Had not seen an others for straighten a sub frame. I had the bike on the sand, but when I crank on the end of the frame It hit the suspension and absorbs my force. Was trying to figure a way to get it in the a vice. You gave me an idea and I think I make it work and take some measurements to insure is square.
For people curious about wear and tear, I have a billet set of kke wheels for my 98 cr250 and paired with the tubeless system. Hammered them for two seasons and haven't had any issues with them and I can't see myself worrying about them as they are the "higher quality" set. I do a lot of enduro and hard enduro style riding so hitting square edges isn't something i'm afraid of doing.

I made the stand myself. Tools and weights came from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC

Garbage. The 1st one wouldn't lite. Yes it had butane. Warrantied out right away, 2nd one didn't work...
do you think a yz250 2 stroke motor would fit an 06 kawaski 250 4 stroke frame?
It all comes down to how the frame/motor/swingarm join. The 2t cases were the same width as the 4t where the pivot bolts goes through. Everything else a welder will fix.
So you just use the right spacers and you have to buy their bearings? Can’t you match their bearings with another manufacturer???
Pop the dust seal, look at the bearing, type that number in.
There is a big difference between OEM Japanese cast hubs and Chinese aftermarket cast hubs . . . .

Same reason head shops sell pipes, “for tobacco use only” it gets them around laws and regulations.

Do you remember what size goes on what side? They don’t really have anything on the websites and the person I got it from did it wrong that’s why I needed a new set of spacers
They are the same size. Stock ones may be offset and wont work.

Anywhere but a highway, it just cant keep up with the flow of traffic. I try to stay in the 45 and under speed zones.

I have been eyeballing a similar project, yz250x motor into wr250r frame (street legal-ish 2 stroke dual sport). Might even be easier because the engine cradle on the wr bolts on so, thinking I could just build a new cradle and drop it in, well not "drop" it in but should be pretty easy. I havent look at swing arm mount compatibility yet tho, still....how hard can it be? famous last words.
The thing that made the deal for me was the engine fit the 4stroke swing arm. South Dakota will title anything above 200cc, run a dewalt battery for all the lights and a random tusk wiring harness to make it easier in your stock frame. I have a video of an xr100 I made street legal.
@@robinsonmotorsports9976 I am in Oregon they wont license anything here that doesn't have epa approval. Used to be able to license other stuff but......it's Oregon.....They have even started refusing to renew some converted bikes that were previously approved.

@@robinsonmotorsports9976 yeh....I could probably get away with that for a few months, until one of the many sheriff deputies or state troopers who live in my neighborhood figured it out, not sure if they will be smart enough to know it sounds different than it is supposed to. Another option would be to buy one of the newer European 2 strokes that are legal to register, whats the fun in that? they dont come in blue.
Bad Ass. I have an '04 crf100f that I built to be street legal. I'm running 15/36 420 chain on mine. I also did big bore kit, atc 200x carb, Barnett clutch, etc. Etc. Top speed with my 190lb butt is 78mph so far.

I have a friend that is a suspension magician and has worked with sss forks a lot. I am a woods rider so I wanted to take the harshness out of the beginning of the stroke and make them a little softer than MX throughout the stroke. We also had to compensate for the lighter motor.
