Super Feather Quality.. Genetics or Care?
Just got the NuBiotic today. There is a bonus ingredient, Citric Acid. So it also acidifies the water when you use it. Also ordered a bottle of NUBios, it is a liquid probiotic. It only takes 1 oz to treat 10 gallons of water. Very interesting products. These should cut my annual supplement cost way back. Thanks for the info Frank
Hello Nick, I am very excited about both products. I will test and most likely promote the probiotic. You get so much for your money with both products and yes Nubiotic is an acidifier also. Hopefully many will use my PIGEON5% discount code

Hi Henry, Hope you enjoyed and got some useful information.
I've tried your system and it works for me thanks
Great to hear. Amazing reports from around the world.
Awesome vid buddy! Keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
Good stuff buddy love the depurative taper I do this in my race
Thank you. I feel, if more one loft races fed correctly, the losses would be so much less because the pigeons would be flying with more buoyancy and with less effort.
super stuff
Glad you enjoyed.

Do you preferred a wired bottom or a wooded bottom
For racing you want a solid floor. You can even drop plywood over the grates during the race season. The humidity and temperature vary too much for super form during racing. You can have grates over a solid floor for racing but not grates open to the ground. All other birds can be kept on wire floors any other time of the year.
Thanks Frank. Can you help guide to where to buy. The ines online are not like this as they dont gave bars in the back. Thanks again.
These are the crates used on the trailer for racing. Not sure exactly where to order but any club/combine that has ordered a recent trailer will have a contact.
Hi there Frank. Thank you for all the knowledge. I'm glad I found you. I'm from the Philipines and it's been a week since I've tried your system particularly in feeding. In three tosses of trainings of 120-140 Km, approx. 86 miles, it seems their speed increases and will keep doing your feeding/training system for a couple of months to see accurately it's impact. I only have ordinary birds I guess (not from champion families but from those who finished the race with no rankings),which I manually selected via eliminatation process selective breeding through the result of their performance since I don't have enough money for buying expensive birds from champion family. It's tough and sucks as I know it's a long process of selecting from clutches to clutches. Several cross breeding and elimination base on their performance before getting a some kind of super bird quality.. But I think you cannot go wrong choosing the birds based on their performance, science and a little of common sense rather than looking into the peds paper. Also, knowing you 'No BS approach' I'm happy to know that I'm doing the right way from day one when it comes to medicines and antibiotic. Not a big fan of those and as much as possible trying to stay away from those and want to challenge immune system whenever possible. Well, it's a science behind that most people (here) do not know. I'll choose hardy ones rather than those speed one but prone to sickness. Health is my main factor of selecting birds as we have crazy wet and dry climate here. Scourging hot upto 119 F° during dry season and crazy tropical rain and storms during wet season. Let me know your thoughts on what I've said here cause I'm going to listen intently from the words of the master. I'm checking every videos you have here. Stay wonderful and healthy being ❤
Thank you for this. You are doing everything right and you are selecting and breeding from the best performers and the strongest immune systems. Many pigeons in most lofts have some excellent genetics. You will find the great birds in your loft. Keep doing what you are doing. I am proud of you!
Hi Frank, I would like to express my gratitude for generously imparting your extensive knowledge of the sport. Your willingness to share insights gained over many years has not only benefited seasoned enthusiasts like myself but has also contributed to the growth and development of others. A mutual friend, Neill Migliore, flew under Lion Gate Loft, gave me super pigeons, and won several races. I would like to share with your viewers one thing that I learned from Neil that helped me from LOSING Young Birds on their first few short training tosses. He said to let my YBs out and fly around the loft as long as they want to get the vigor or energy out of them, and after they trap, take a drink and take half of the team on their first training toss. Let them sit in the basket and settle down, then let them out, and they will fly straight home. It's a suggestion that has worked for me. Thanks again, Frank Your friend, Dan Romanski
Hello Dan, Neil loved you and this is great advice, most should follow. Many ask me "how can I get my birds to fly straight home from training". I give the same advice, loft fly before training. Hope all is well.

What about the Janssens?
Janssens were used by everyone as crosses. The real super breeding game changing pigeons with Janssen bloodlines were crosses. The great Meuleman pair, one parent was a Janssen and the crossed children went on to change the sport. Same with Staf Van Reet and the Janssen crosses. These crossed brothers Daniel and Dikke Prins were unbelievable breeders.
On a personal note, hope you and family all well and safe from storm. Also that lofts survived
We were safe. We are on the second floor but ground level lost everything. We lost my wife's car but my truck was flooded and was the only vehicle in the entire neighborhood to run. It was like a tide rolled in and three feet of salt water. It was crazy and the neighbors said we never got flooding here in 30 years.
Another nice video. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good morning Mr Frank,, take care in the storm,, be safe
Thank you, We should be fine. In an evacuation zone but we are second floor and on Tampa Bay not on the Gulf of Mexico.
Do you do flushing on Sunday or Monday?
What you do mean by flushing? Some used to feed light feeds on return or give a laxitive like epsom salts. This is all a big mistake. Rich feeds, minerals and rest are best for recover.
Thanks. You teach good information.
Glad it was helpful!
Wonderful information. Thanks.
So nice of you. Glad you enjoyed and hope I was a bit helpful.

Happy you are a Big Fan!
Hi, What can be done for young baby pigeons, whose feathers are still growing but have pigeon pox lesions all over their beaks?
Just leave them alone. Nothing you can do but they will be okay.
@@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons is there a way to prevent this from happening to the future pigeon 🐦 chicks? 🙏
This usually is a mosquito issue biting and transferring pox to the babies. Where are the mosquitos finding active pox? If you can vaccinate all the old birds for pox the mosquitos will not be able to give to the babies if the old birds are immune. You may want to spray the nests with Permithryn to keep mosquitos away.
❤
Brilliant hope to be has good soon 💯🙏🏽❤️
You will do great!

just so you know... if you have a bit more money to spend... at TSC (and other places) there is a brand of chicken pellet from nutrena? (never trust my spelling or memory) and one specific variety called "feather fixer" it has oregano oil in the pellets, is 18% protein i think? anyway i prefer it to the plain pellets, but yes it costs a bit more. also its cheaper to buy whole corn at a feed mill, BUT the corn at TSC is higher quality usually.
Great Tip! I will take a look. If it has Oregano in it that is a big plus.
Thank Frank 🙏🐦🪽💯🏁
I like your talk ing

hi again..a question on the borax bath..do i rinse the solution off after soaking pigeon, and how long is best to leave it in bath? thank you kindly
I let the birds take baths and they dry themselves. I leave the bath pan in for a couple hours. The borax stays in the feather and does not hurt one bit. I think it has a positive effect on the feather.
Always great info, thanks Fra k !!👊👍
Happy you liked the Video! Thank you, Eric
I have a question birds return back from race fly and they taste the air . They act like they eat something bad. Performance they is up and down. Is it canker or respiratory any ideas
I know what you mean. Could be canker going up after stress. Do they stop this a day or so later after resting?
@@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons yes it stops. I actually took a gamble and treated the entire loft with emtryl. You can see a insane change in the droppings. Let’s see this week we got 350 miles WTCM race they are expecting Head winds.
Hope you have some luck. Usually a canker treatment can knock them off form but if you have enough time from the end of treatment to shipping they will be okay. If they had high canker they would not have a chance anyway. Keep me posted.
Hey Mr Frank, what feed and percent would you recommend someone just loft flying and doing a few tosses around the area?
If you enjoy watching your birds fly and fly effortlessly for long periods of time, feed 50% barley. You will be amazed. They will home much better also being more buoyant.
What a nice cock bird 😮
Hey Mr Frank ,, im jaime,, i live across the gulf,, in sothern Mexico,, i realy enjoy your videos,, all my friends flock medicate, but not me,, i have had good results , just medicating the sick birds,, thanks for your eforts,, and keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing. You can do this no flock treatment with antibiotics, and you will find your pigeons keep getting stronger and stronger. Great job!
ive been wondering ware you've been.
I will start doing more videos soon. Glad I was missed.
Another helpful video for newbs like me! Thanks Frank 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Happy to help a little bit!
Thank you Frank, I have lost few birds due to canker and cocci few yrs ago, when I split up the cocks from hens yes Stress played a big part in that .The birds are altogether again except one pair in my smaller loft I am useing for stock birds! The birds I have left are all doing well I had used metronizadole but the birds were to far gone and sadly died.. Thank you for your very knowledgeable videos.
Thank you for this insight and I am happy if my videos help some and cause some thought.
Cancer in the breeders and youngsters is not the same as in the race birds. You do not have to treat the breeders and young birds against canker. Their natural immunity will mostly develop well enough to keep them healthy.! Its a totally diff ball game when racing your birds hard.! It will be impossible to subdue the developing cancer to such an extent that they can perform at the top of their potential unless you treat them with a proper cancer medication before each race they are entered into.! It is not necc to flock treart the entire team every week or two though. If they are not all designated to race they do not get treated at all but when you select birds to enter it is imperitive that you ensure that the cancer level has been reduced to the lowest level possible in the days just before the race if you want to ensure the best possible chance of a winning result.! Flagyl does work very well but as cancer can also build up a resistance to one particular drug if used continuosly it is wise to alternate the medications administered periodically. I would just love to compete agains anybody that does not medicate their raceteam againt cancer weekly before a race.! It would be a massacre i can assure you.! When cancer levels rise to high the negative effects are very dettremental.! The metabolism slows down dramatically for a start. The food does not digest normally and often there is still food left over in the crop by the next day. Cancer also causes pain in the crop and throught that is very noticable when pigeons sit ruffled up and appear just unhappy. Flying at top speed is then totally just not possible no matter what anybody tries to tell you.! Unless everybody in your club, union or combine races birds without treating for cancer at all you will be annialated by the members that do manage and control cancer levels before each race.! This is the case world wide.!

Another great video frank and how you explain canker and prevention
Happy you enjoyed. Most have no understanding of canker.
hello Frank i have not treated my racing team with antibiotic last young bird season but i do weekly protected schedule except the yellow drop because it not sold here during the mid of race the apple cider vinegar was out of stock i tried lemon peel instead the result is quite satisfied me next month i have a new young bird season but the race go to northern part of the country Today my young bird team fly the second road training toss ok bye for now and thank you for your video😁
Keep me posted and I hope you have great results!
Hi Frank, I have been antibiotic free for one year. I don’t even have a need for antibiotics to treat canker. I have been using Dr. Pigeons “Trichocease” for many years. It’s sold by Foys and works awesome. It’s all natural and I give it to the birds once a week in the water. I can send a picture of the label if you’re interested. Thanks a lot for all the awesome information in your videos. Have a good weekend! John from Pa
Hey John, I am not familiar with that product but will look it up. Keep doing what you are doing and you will have much stronger birds.
Hi Frank, your new loft looks really nice!
Thank you! I am excited.
when we had the heat wave (and i ran out of minerals too early)... i had some birds who looked stressed, and i thought maybe i saw something in the throat... so i just made a point of c hanging the water more often, adding vinegar more often, and yes i used yellow drops for a couple birds that seemed like they were not well. to this day i cant swear it was canker (my eyesight is poor, and i am not an expert at holding a pigeon, opening its beak, and peering into its mouth without letting go of the bird) but what i did notice was most of the birds never looked ill at all, and the couple "poorly" birds made a complete recovery.
Looks like you did it and the birds went through the problem and the birds got better.
Appreciate the video Frank great to see you doing some videos and i always appreciate the knowledge 🙏🏼🏆🧬🪽🪽
