Scary parts on Walker's Haute Route
Pas de Chèvres ladders - Corbassière bridge - Charles Kuonen bridge.
The Walker’s Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt isn’t a technical hike, so you don’t need any fancy skills. However, if you are afraid of heights there are few sections that could make you weak in the knees.
Not to worry though, you could skip all of them with some alterations. More details on our website takeahike.io/hike/haute-route

Wild camping in the Pyrenees - Silent hiking
มุมมอง 505หลายเดือนก่อน
Last summer we did a little three day hike in the Pyrenees, mainly in Andorra but also crossed to the Spanish side. We found two beautiful little lakes where we spent the nights. Wild camping is strictly prohibited in many areas so it’s important to respect the rules, preserve the nature and leave no trace behind. The video was entirely filmed with GoPro Hero 10. For more hiking content please ...

Hiking Alta Via 1 Dolomites in 7 Days
มุมมอง 17K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
We hiked the Alta Via 1 in reverse. The only reason doing it in reverse was to avoid hiking in a queue - which might happen if you're hiking a popular route during the peak season. This decision really payed off but we did have to pay a small price which was 1100 meters more of elevation gain. The total numbers for our hike were 120km in 7 days with 8400m of elevation gain. We completed this in...
Haute Route - Hiking from Chamonix to Zermatt in 11 Days
มุมมอง 21Kปีที่แล้ว
The Walker's Haute Route takes you from Chamonix (France) to Zermatt (Switzerland). The route connects two iconic mountain peaks, Mont Blanc and Matterhorn, and it traverses through the Alps taking you over 11 mountain passes along the way. The hike has some variations and our route ended up being 213km with 14 000 meters of elevation gain in 11 days. We hiked in full gear and we mixed wild cam...

Hiking Alone Coronallacs in Andorra - Silent Hiking
มุมมอง 5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Last August I was heading to Andorra to do a few day hikes and I stumbled upon a multi day hike called Coronallacs. It was a last minute decision to do it so I didn't have time to book any mountain huts for the route. My initial plan was to camp in the campsites so I'd be carrying a tent and all the camping gear anyway. So in case I couldn't get a bed in the mountain huts I could sleep in my te...
9 Days Hiking and Camping in Picos de Europa - Silent Hiking
มุมมอง 9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In mid July we hiked 125km over 9 days in Picos de Europa National Park, Spain. The Anillo de 3 Macizos is a circular route that connects 9 mountain huts and has a total elevation gain of over 9000m. Camping is not allowed inside the park but following a few regulations you can set up a camp for a short overnight stay. This was filmed entirely with a GoPro Hero 7. You can find a complete and in...
Hiking Alone in the Pyrenees Day 1 - Silent Hiking Stories
มุมมอง 6213 ปีที่แล้ว
Silent hiking story about solo hiking and camping in the Pyrenees. I went back to Andorra in late September to enjoy the last hikes of the season and to my surprise the mountains were already covered in snow. Due to the amount of snow I wasn't able to do any high elevation hikes but instead I had time for more picnics and simply enjoying the views. I based myself in a campsite down in the valle...
Hi! Thanks for the great guide in your web site! Could you please also share what were the prices for food in the refugios?
The food at the refugios was €5-€15, from sandwiches or pastries to proper plates of pasta for example.
How difficult was it to find a spot? Any issues with camping ?
We like to camp where we can have a water source, and only one day was a bit difficult to find good water source. When you vivac in a responsable way it seems to be tolerated.
Looks amazing! Did you find you were coming across lots of people walking towards you because majority do it the other way? I’m tempted to go to south to north but will be camping anyway/ likely leaving at different times so maybe would be staggered and come across less people taking the more common direction. Any thoughts? Thanks! 😊
Usually it was half way through the day when we’d see the people hiking the other way. In the mornings and afternoon we didn’t see many people. Personally I’d rather do that than have a lot of people behind and in front of me at all times. 😄
challenging journey in the hills, keep your spirits up!
Great trip, wonderful film. I notice the route takes you north before heading south to enter Zermatt. Are there routes that take you closer to the Matterhorn like the winter ski routes?
At least on our map I can't see an option to cross the mountain range on the south side.
So beautiful!!! 👍👍👍 In 6 days, I will also be going to AV1.
Thank you! That's awesome, you're gonna love it!
From the rustling of leaves to the distant calls of wildlife, every aspect of this video evokes a sense of tranquility. Nature truly takes center stage. nice one Laura

Hi guysm is this a company of Emelie Forbserg?
Hey! Unfortunately we don't have any connection with Emelie Forsberg. She's an amazing athelete though! May I ask what made you think so? 😀
Very neat views! Thank you!❤
Thank you! 💚
Such a great video thank you guys, will most likely send it this summer!
Thank you!
Mukavan rauhallinen video ja mahtavat maisemat!
I really enjoyed the video and also the calm music :) how heavy was your backpack?
Thanks Diana! I think the backpack was around 12kg or 13kg. I had full camping gear with me, but you could do the route with a light backpack if you sleep in the refugios.
Hi Laura. The suspension bridges look fantastic and scary .
Wonderful video! I see your answers about wild camping but still don’t understand. You can wild camping if refugios are fully booked? Who is going to check that if I put my tent somewhere at high place? If I go to the Dolomites I totally don’t want to book refugios but want to stay somewhere with tent. Is it even possible?
😁 Perfect relaxing scenic hiking video 💯 % 👍
What a lovely video, Laura! And perfect choice of music, too!
Thank you Alex!
Beautiful views. Great hike. Thanks for sharing. 👍12

Thank you Mario, I really appreciate your comment! Making this video I got really excited about the upcoming hiking season. 😀
Beautiful places and nice music ☺💙
You should have taken rest
Hahaha it was a looong hike
I really enjoy❤❤❤
Such a beautiful scenery, it's so relaxing to watch. 👌🧡
Such a beautiful places to hike and camp! 💚
❤❤😊
do you think you could complete this in 5 days, how active were you each day?
In 5 days you'd have to hike 23km and gain 1400m of elevation each day. I'd say that's pretty exhausting and you'd be rushing through the mountains.. If you have really light backpack I guess it's doable but doesn't sound enjoyable. You can see our itinerary details here: takeahike.io/hike/alta-via-1
Beautiful place. Great video. Thanks for sharing. Subbed & 👍 20
Just stumbled across your latest video and took a quick look at your channel. Your hikes are really beautiful and impressive. I also appreciate that you share some routes on your website. The website is well designed an and gives a nice overview 👍
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your comment! And thanks for checking our website!
relaxing
for Mac
Is it okay to wild camp in the dolomites?
Camping is illegal, but since the refugios were fully booked we asked them for advice where we could put a tent just for the night. It needs to be high altitude and "sunset to sunrise" kinda thing.
Awesome landscape, give us more details about it
Outdoor life, the best life.
nice to see something from you again, great video. I hope to do the Pyrenees too this year. 😁
Thank you for your comment!
This is perfect, I’m going to follow your route for my 40th birthday in 2 weeks. Thanks for sharing 🙏
That’s amazing, you’re gonna have a great time! I also prefer to spend my birthdays on the mountains. 😃 If you want to know how we did the hike we wrote about it in our web site: takeahike.io/hike/anillo-de-picos-de-europa Enjoy the hike! 🏔️

Hey Andrew, Thanks for your comment! The Pyrenees have so much to explore and this time the weather was amazing so it really was an enjoyable hike. Thanks for checking the website as well!
Wow!!!! This video makes me want to travel more this year. Love it ❤
I love hiking and camping in the Pyrenees 🙌
I've read that camping is not allowed on Alta Via 1 - do you have tips for someone looking to bring a camp?
Camping is not allowed there but if the refugios are full they usually can tell you where you can pitch a tent for the night. On our guide you can see more details about the subject: takeahike.io/hike/alta-via-1
amazing hikes!!!
Thank you!
Hola saludos cordiales desde Venezuela . Me gusta el estilo de tus videos. En nuestro canal queremos hacer videos de este estilo. Muchas gracias por la inspiración y éxitos en tu canal...
Muchas gracias!
Did you have any safety concerns doing this alone? Looking at doing the same in about a month
I felt very safe there. The hike doesn't have any technical sections and there aren't any wildlife you should be worried about. The route is well marked, though you should always carry a proper map. If you're planning going early in the season there might be quite a bit of snow still. So check the snow conditions before heading there.
These images are STUNNING!! Planning to hike this route next summer, this really is hyping me up. Thank you for taking the time to assemble this ❤️🙏🏼
Hey! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! If you need help planning the hike please check out our website www.takeahike.io We have made a full guide about the hike with interactive maps. :)
