3 Board games that go F#!%ING FAST
Sometimes you want to experience something so paint-peelingly, gum-flappingly, eye-wateringly fast that standard board games just won't cut it. Wheels is here with three board games that break the sound barrier and push the limits of speed. Both through theme and mechanics.

Rakdos Reanimator VS. Rakdos Burn | MTG Pauper Gameplay
มุมมอง 3.5Kวันที่ผ่านมา
Pauper, the Magic format that uses only Common cards, recently came into our lives and we've been obsessed. It's fun, fast-paced, and most importantly cheap as hell to put together a deck. We've got a whole video on why you should play the format, but if you want to see just how great it is on the table or just admire some Rakdos sillyness then enjoy us pitting our two favourite decks against e...
Hi! We're Just For Fun!
มุมมอง 7K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Hello everyone and welcome to Just For Fun! The home of the two best friends in the entire universe, Maddie and Wheels. We'll be making videos about all your favourite games, tabletop and beyond, with our own silly twist. From card games like Magic: The Gathering and Lorcana, to board games like Root and Scythe, and TTRPGs that aren't just Dungeons & Dragons! If you can play it, or we can yap a...
Magic: The Gathering's best format is also its cheapest
มุมมอง 9K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Magic: The Gathering has been around since before both of the hosts of this channel were born, so it makes sense that there are more ways to play it than you can shake a stick at. Pauper, despite being one of the Magic's most popular format, doesn't seem to get quite as much as love as big hitters like Commander and Modern, and yet with its tiny price tags, high power level and healthy meta - w...
Best solo RPGs 2024
มุมมอง 14K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
The world of TTRPGs is a vast one, and within all the fun adventures with friends there's a wonderful little niche of games to play alone. Ones that can take you to just as many amazing places, solve just as many exciting quests, and even get into the same emotional beats you love from group games. So if you're looking to take your first steps into the world of solo RPGS or want new recommendat...
Only took TH-cam 2 weeks to tell me meanwhile it keeps pushing me AI bots reading reddit posts
We're glad you found us eventually <3
Dungeon kart is mario kart the board game. Its pretty good played with 6 and i think that might be the cap probably better with 4-5 dont know why the Kickstarter let the game go up to 8 I can't imagine how long a game of 8 would take.
Heat is so good, really need to get round to the campaign mode soon! Brawl also looks super interesting! I would also add Thunder Road: Vendetta to this list, played it recently at a board game cafe and it was a blast
We quite literally just played the second race in a championship! (Maddie is kicking my ass)
I am not a board-gamer, but I'm commenting to make sure the algorithm takes this to one more person!
chad behaviour
Another fast playing game, this one in a very small portable package is "mint tin mini apocalypse" by SubQuark games. It's a real time dice rolling 2p game in a mini mint tin, and it's a BLAST!
Joyride sounds a bit like Gaslands, only a tiny bit less fun.
We're planning to hopefully play some Gaslands on the channel at some point! I've had hotwheels lying around, ready to mess up for a very long time hahaha
love this video- ngl i might go out and buy all three of these games lol, they seem like tons of fun!!
We quite literally just played another game of Heat because we were itching for more. They're great!
Best format ever! Pauper is the way!😊
Maddie’s constant giggling during the Brawl playthrough at the end was so good 😂
Who made Wheels join Fight Club? Or did Maddie go Catholic Nun on his knuckles for winning?
eczema :(
@@just4funshow 😡 not fun!
@@just4funshow saying you've joined a Fight Club and then being like "oh no! the first two rules!" is a good way to leverage the eczema tho gotta say
Thanks for the suggestions. Just bought Koriko as a gift to my wife!
Heat is such a good game. Need to check out Joyride.
We're doing a campaign mode play this weekend B) Hoping to get some gameplay up on the channel as well!
Brawl looks like a blast, So does Joyride,
The fact that you can just print off Brawl and play at home for like $5 then it only takes a minute to play makes it the ultimate no excuse card game hahaha, get playing!
*gasp* swearing?!? Well I never
We would never 😇
The devil, you say?!
So excited for this channel! Thank you TH-cam algorithm! The different sets are great! I'd love to see a video on board games you recommend for people who don't do well with a ton of rules, but still want to have fun!
We've got a board game list coming this week and a couple are pretty light on the rules
Oh hell yeah!
Doesn't rotate... Right like modern and commander technically don't rotate. But every 2 or so years a master set comes out and power creeps the living heck out of every format.
Love that you've discovered the Pauper format and your enthusiasm for it! We host regular Pauper FNMs and love to play on webcam from time to time!
Really glad you see you making content again. You've always brought well presented and interesting content.
I just saw your video and was like, "Solo RPGs? Those exist?" and now I've bought three of them to try out because they seem SO INTERESTING.
These games have inspired me to build a Dimir Pauper deck, I want to see what I can do with my big stack of Kaldheim cards!
@@alexdoran527 there's a nasty dimir control deck that's pretty popular right now
Decklists now in the description!
Commander is best
You two rock! Psyched for this channel and for more actual plays of whatever games you feel like. And pink mics? Chef’s kiss🍰☕️
I have been wanting to check out more solo games Thanks for the list and links. I am so excited. ❤
Love Paper Pauper gameplay! Always great to find more channels doing paper 60 card gameplay Just gotta make sure to bolt your opponent on their end step!!
You 2 brings thw fun back to the game for me. Lol Tho deck lists would be great added bonus.
Adding to the description, reanimator list is in there already
Are the decklists available somewhere ? I'd like to thinker with the rakdos burn
Adding to the description, reanimator list is in there already
was that a 365 okay okay okay? hahahah
This was filmed in the midst of Brat Summer
I’m not a big MTG player, but the editing made this video easy to understand and fun to watch.
Good editing
I'm so happy there's a channel interested in pauper. I'm so absolutely sick of and over with everyone talking about fucking commander. To me pauper feels so much more flexible and expressive. I fucking hate being restricted to a single way of building decks and playing the game (which is the case in commander). I hope you don't succumb to peer pressure and become just another commander channel (well, even if you do, I still wish you success). I'll be here for all of your pauper or other constructed formats content. Either way, best of luck to you guys.
This is great fun! And as a non-MTG player, I'm very interested in playing pauper
I could be wrong but I think Maddie forgot to draw off the blood token at the 25 min mark! Yet to see to the end of the video to see if it mattered.......
Ah I see this was corrected 50 seconds later 25:53 xD good spot all xD
Stoked to see more UK-based MTG creators! Just subbed, great game and great playmats 💖
Really enjoyed the vid! the Editing and you explaining all the cards with all the pictures and sound effects is amazing! i will say the swaping between the cameras so often was kinda jarring but thats my only gripe, keep it up! us pauper players really appreciate it!
It's gonna be a scary day when pauper re-animator gets another resurrection spell that's on-par with exhume.
First time checking out your channel but really enjoyed the show. would watch more pauper (my format of choice) from you guys
Production value is so high! Its clear youve guys invested a lot in building channel and I can't wait to watch more!
Decklists would be great.
I'll get them in the description today 👍
Editing is top-notch! And fun to watch! I love making things top-notch, just for fun!😊😅
Is yugioh card game possible in this channel? 🤔
This is extremely watchable
You guys are cool as fuck. x
So how much did your decks cost to build?
Pretty cheap! The madness deck is the cheapest, with the only cards that'll really set you back being galvanic blast and great furnace. If you're happy to play a slightly weaker version of the deck you can swap them out to keep it very budget. We'll have decklists in the description soon
@@just4funshow sounds great. That discussion will be more content for you guys in the future.
Love this. Love the formatting just a little bit of feedback. It would be nice if you could display what is in players hands at any given moment.
In an ideal world we would! Not sure what the best way of tracking that would be so that I have that information when it comes to the edit
@@just4funshowCheck a recent video by PaperPauperPlayer where he discloses the techniques that the Carfmarket channel uses in editing to show a live feed of what's in each player's hand.
@@Dimitar_Tsanev Just watched and as I expected it's a lot of extra work to get it on screen. Will have to see how manageable it is next time we play some MTG
Why did dice breaker fail?
Corp Idiocy
I always loved the idea of reanimator but I’ve always been scared of the graveyard hate.
Your options are to either go so fast that they can't hate in time or to keep refilling your graveyard after it's cleared. Most people's sideboard graveyard hate is one use so it can only deal with one threat at a time
Hi, first time on the channel. Here is some random feedback, as a solo Pauper player and someone used to kalikaiz, snap bolt and bryant content. The production is top tier, not only card showcase but sfx, very lacking in Pauper content. The back and forth from top down view was very distracting to me and I couldn't enjoy the video because of it. Since you channel is for fun gameplay I totally support janky builds, but keep in mind there are a bunch of players that will dismiss the content if there are no trier decks involved. Even in a fun setting I would try to avoid missplays and try to play as lean as possible, even in the most efficient way possible. Something like the professor does on his commander plays, announcing casts and effects, resolving in order, and commenting on the overall status of the board. It's more meticulous than playing casually but helps guide players that are not necesarily experts in the format and entertains the ones who come just to relax. You can even plan a game setup and order the cards beforehand so the gameplay showcases in a particular way that is interesting to view, like reanimating Ulamog turn 1 and live the dream. Last and most important, you two feel genuine and have very charm personalities, you seem like the nicest commander players trying pauper and having fun. Keep the good content and wish you the best :)
I know backseat mtg-ing is probably unappreciated. Nevertheless, lightning bolt usually shouldn't be played on your own turn. holding it in hand with the mana untapped means you can respond if your opponent summons a creature (and you can still zap them for their life on their turn if they don't) and perhaps as importantly it bluffs that you might be able to lightning bolt when you don't even have one in hand so long as you have a card in hand and keep the mana untapped.
Maddie's played against this deck a million times, none of the creatures you actually have to worry about die to a bolt haha
I'm a big pauper fan. In a lot of ways it requires creative deck building because a lot of the traditional removal is locked behind black at common. Probably my favourite 60 card format.
Luckily we just got Thraben charm at common in modern horizons 3 paired with journey to no-where white can really fight now! (this format is my favorite and is so healthy right now its really rad)
I think Pauper in a way is close to being the purest form of Magic as you can experience the difference in removal types in terms of them being true to the colour pie. You have creature destruction in black, exiling in white, direct damage in red, artifact and enchantment destruction, as well as fight/bite effects in green, and discarding and milling in blue (as well as stunning). Of course all of these are available in other formats but I feel like pauper has access to the most basic and straightforward forms of each version of removal which is as close to the original designs as you can get.
