Giddey played and scored well when Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was injured or of court. He will do well for the Bulls. When SGA was playing Giddey had to play second fiddle and not play his natural position. I'm an OKC fan and sorry to see him go but no good for him with SGA on the roster.

This trade is more like Jaylen Brunson for Kyrie Irving. Brunson looks way better on the Knicks but played good for the Mavs. He just needed the ball in his hands more. Now Brunson is an All Star.

As for the picks: (1) we don't know the conditions attached to those picks, (2) how valuable are 2024 draft picks anyway given that the talent is mediocre, (3) OKC is too smart to offer 2025 1st round picks. As for Giddy and his mental state, didn't we just hire a group of really good coaches that could, perhaps, develop a 21 yr. old Giddy into a better shooter and defender. Lastly, in search for an interesting B-Ball experience, screw the Bulls, screw the Sky (a team more like the NBA Bad Boys of Detroit than a WNBA version of the Jordan Bulls of Cheecago). I find more interest in watching Caitlin Clark and the Indian Fever.

Alex is 30 and have you all forgotten how often he was injured last season? I like this move, 6'8 point guard is a good thing.

OKC fan here. I think Giddey is a good player and at 21 will become a much better player. He did struggle with confidence down the stretch, but his biggest problem on OKC was redundancy with SGA. At 30, Caruso is at his peak as a player now and Giddey, at 21, still has a ton of upside. I really liked Giddey and I think he will become a really good player in Chicago. I am sad to lose him at OKC, but OKC has a bunch of guys they will need to pay in the future, and Giddey’s redundancy made him odd guy out. They will give Caruso a three year deal at OKC and that will be the end of his time there as Presti keeps using and trading back draft picks to keep the roster affordable. Giddey will be playing in the NBA at a high level for 15 more years.

The bulls had a Championship team with DeMar,Vuc,Drum,Ayo and Javonte,cant nobody tell me different. They refused to play those players together that was really their best 5 players.

Giddey will play good ball for the Bulls for a long, long time. He is unselfish and once he gets used to being the primary ball-handler again you will see a different player. Giddey ran the point for about 3 weeks late in the season, pre-playoffs while SGA had a sore calf. Giddey's numbers spiked for those 3 weeks in that primary ball-handling role - he can run a team if he gets the chance.

He's Lonzo ball without the injury and less defense but he's definitely Ball's replacement

Caruso is a really good piece, but he plays harder than most. His hustle also is the reason why he gets hurt a lot.

The Bulls need to get younger. Derozan is leaving. We could have got a second round pick added to this trade since Godfrey got benched and allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor. And we need two first round pick for Lavine. However I think White just got a good backcourt mate if Giddey plays both sides of the ball.

I like Caruso. Yet look at his stats. Last year was his best year ever and he averaged just 10 points a game. And look, he is no Rodman who gave 15 rebounds is he. If he was great the Lakers would not have let him go. A 21 year old point guard? The Bulls got a good deal.

The bulls need that Boston Celtics dna from the top down. That team stays relevant every year even when not winning a championship they are in the conversations. They know how to put winning teams together.

It’s always going to be rough when a franchise trades a fan favorite. Caruso has had multiple suitors for years! So, fans would like to have seen a return we could be just a little excited about. Even if Giddey balls out, then the Bulls will end up having to overpay him a year from now.

Real quick about the allegations… that happened when he was 19. The girl lied about her age and was in a club where you’d reasonably expect to be around people his same age. When he found out she lied the next day, he reported it to the team. He met her in a club, not at like a Starbucks… he was being blackmailed with this information at the beginning of last season, which I believe just fucked him up from the star. If this was about exposing a predator, then you’d take the information to the police, not doxx the girl, putting her out there for the world to see. This seemed more about revenge, than exposing a sexual predator. Give him a chance. Watch his highlights of when OKC put 150 on Boston without Shai. He’s a gamer, can flat out play, but has the hardest year of his life. Dude can hoop, but with the emergence of Jalen Williams, he basically took over Giddey’s ball handling duties when SGA was off the floor. I hope he does well in Chicago,

Bulls fans overvalue the players even more than the front office does. The team has become a cancer, and the biggest tumors are Lavine, and Ball. Start by cutting out those tumors if you want to have any future. Keep overvaluing trades, and just cut the rope connecting your team to those bums.

Saying that people who hate this trade "don't know subtlety" is absolutely wild. We're people who, uh, are actually paying attention to how teams value players? Teams really value Caruso and they don't even want Giddey on their team, so .... they coulda gotten a lot more value out of this. That's the kind of 'subtle' personnel management that good orgs do. Caruso can be on a contender's rotation and Giddey can't. Caruso has a good value contract and Giddey's overpaid on his rookie scale and is going to ask for more in a year ... unless he's an absolute disaster, so, cool. How many more 'subtleties' do you want? I didn't hear Wilbon offer any, I heard a bunch of generalizations from a dude who plainly hadn't watched much Giddey and plainly just likes to be a contrarian against whatever he views is the "internet's" opinion.

As a Chicago Bulls fan my whole life this organization was always in between rebuilding and being a contender traded Caruso in a straight up trade is ridiculous without getting any draft picks. Now we back to square one like 15 years ago or 20 years ago what are the bulls doing? Here’s the deal what do you get for a 2x All Defensive 1st Team Player? A former lottery player who’s a good play maker, who fell out of the rotation down the stretch in the playoffs. Josh giddy is about to have a break out season he's a pure point guard he is a floor general who can control the pace of the game and score.. People have forgotten that josh giddy was putting up numbers and not a bad defense player.. Golden State should have traded for him
