    I have one of these and it rides in the same spot in my truck. Super happy with it. I removed the bags and replaced with open top plastic baskets that fit perfect. That way I can pull them out like a drawer and not have to unzip every time to get to my stuff. I store my paper towels in the same spot too. I love the idea of storing the stove on top with bungees!

      That's an awesome idea! I might just do that with the baskets. Glad to hear that it's working well for you!!

    I ordered one before the video was over. I'm been using a heavy duty tote with dividers that gets the job done, but it's like playing jenga every time I went in for something. There are a bunch of solutions but most are ridiculously priced. Thanks for the video.

    Ok my friend, I don’t know your history but I am an absolute new subscriber. Glad to have stumbled upon your page. You have great skill in instructional videos. I’m on TH-cam all the time and don’t need another subscribed site. But your videos are some of the most well put together succinct -correct -helpful that I’ve come upon. Keep up the good work. Live every day.👮‍♀️🇺🇸.
    I have a 2016 Tacoma luckily with a 6 1/2 foot bed and long wheelbase. Great for truck camping. I’m fixing to watch the CampChef video!

    I have been thinking about purchasing this to organize my camping gear. I car camp and had been using collapsible crates that I have found cumbersome. This does look to do a better job especially if I begin primitive camping wh err e I will need storage and a table top. You are so right about having to open your storage units from the top. Thanks for the video.

    • @TregsTravels
      @TregsTravels  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's definitely nice to have an all it one setup with the cook surface! If it's not too bulky in your car then I definitely recommend it 👍🏼 I hope the video helped, cheers!

    That table will be super helpful to me. I'm gonna get one because settling up camp takes a lot of time but breaking down camp does too so if I can keep it packed and squared away and accessible at the same time, that just makes sense.

    • @TregsTravels
      @TregsTravels  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree!! I really like strapping the stove to the top of the table too so it saves the extra storage inside

    I've been eyeing that camp kitchen for a while now, but unfortunately just don't have the space for it (I'm a literal car camper), so I'm living vicariously through your video. 😅
    You could use a bungee cord through a small length of PVC pipe (or not, but it may be easier to roll it with) and fix your paper towel roll to the other side of the unit when you're actively using it. Alternatively, a dowel and 550 cord. PVC/550 cord. Dowel/bungee. Boot lace, no pipe/rod. Loose pajama drawstring. Whatever works.
    Thanks for the walkthrough, it was very cool and informative.

    • @TregsTravels
      @TregsTravels  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the idea! I was trying to think how to hang the paper towels and those are great ideas. What kind of car are you camping in?

      @@TregsTravels I'm using my daily driver, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT hatchback, to camp. Can't really do any overlanding in it (though I probably do take it places it ought not go, poor suspension and low profile tires bedamned, lol), and it's a bit of a squeeze, but it's been a fun challenge trying to get it to work, and it does. Mostly. 😅

    I bought one from watching this. I am really happy with it. Most camp table kitchens collapse and that’s ok. Not needing to unload it to do so is a positive for me.. square volume is square volume The stuff you unload still needs to go somewhere regardless. There is a cheaper version not by camp chef I guess who’s knocking off who? For 65.00$ the legs come out and not collapse . Some fabric is a little lighter. I got one of each ,,,we’ll see in time if they last as long as each other. Under the fabric at each leg is a plastic fitting I’ll cal it triangle. It makes a great place to place a piece of wood to support weight if your bags get heavy and start to sag the fabric. I also took out two bags and put in plastic Walmart sterilite storage drawers. Utensils knives cups etc. things used continuously. Quick access and less constant zipper . Thanks for turning me on to this with the video. I’m glad I didn’t build a drawer system

    I have the Portal version of this. Suggestion, pull the legs out a few inches and either wrap them with duct tape or PVC pipe. Otherwise, the legs sometimes go up in the plastic piece. Tool bag I put in the zippered compartment in the back and a big cutting board under the table. Paper towels on a bungee cord.

    I wound up with 2 due to shipping issues with Glamping World during the plandemic. One is my camp kitchen and the second one is still in the box. I like how you kept the top on and stored the stove on the top. I have mine in the Sherpa. I use the waterproof one as a drink cooler. The other 3 bags fit inside the Sherpa. I can’t remember how I got them in there.
    The second I will use as my art studio and clothing/bathing storage. I just bought a truck so I can store it all in the bed under the cover, along with my tent. Should clear up a bit of room in the garage. I don’t have a topper yet.
    I Iike having a camp kitchen set up so when you want to go out you only need to get the food.

      I've thought about something like that too...I haven't figured out exactly how to do that, it would have to attach to the aluminum on the sides...I'll keep thinking 👍🏼 or maybe a portable tripod that you could extend and stand beside it 🤷🏼‍♂️ clipping my utensils bag to the side has worked well for me! I will let you know how I will come up with my camp kitchen. I would also like yo try adding like a small folding extension table. or a diy sink. where you can place it up and you can use the sink to wash food. I dont think it wouldnt hurt much to add extra ppouch bag to the side tables.
