AIM and the AIM30 Food for Treating Cat Chronic Kidney Disease.
Hopefully this answers some of the questions you guys have had! I’m no expert in the subject matter of AIM, nor am I a nephrologist, but here’s my understanding of what little information I could find from the team in Japan!

How Veterinarians Actually Talk to Aggressive Animals Behind Closed Doors
I lost my 16 year old cat Meowska a few months ago I am determined to take better care of my other cats kidneys. Do you know if this is going to be able to be used in younger cats throughout their life to keep their kidneys functioning properly?
A Happy New Year to creatures and all who care for them.
"I promise to stop stealing my techs pens" um, my daughter works in emergency animal medicine & THAT Sir is a direct lie! Sure, YOU can _try_ but, we all _know,_ you will inevitably fail, and pretty dang hard, too. 😂😂😂😂😂❤
I used to raid my bosses too desk drawer from time to time to clean out all the pens he’d walked off with. Kudos to everyone who works with you for taking such good care of you.
Happy new year! I promise to watch all of your videos!
Happy new year to all the vets, techs, helpers, animal lovers, and most importantly all pet parents&pets🥳🎉🐾♥️
So… what is it?
As someone who works in rescue: I promis to stop telling my family I am stealing [insurt animals name here] and bringing them home. :)
Lol I work w rescues some and have two rescue dogs and five rescue kitties they take up my whole life but that’s ok I love them all so much❤
Happy New Year. That pen thievery is too real.
Well, there's always next year. Happy New Year. 😁
Happy New Year.🎉
Here's to the New Year with all vet hospital's!!!🎉 May it b a wonderful one for everyone ❤️
Way too funny!! I love you with The popcorn, soda and milk duds. I love you no matter what. Thanks for a great year of videos.
Those salty cookies look like the work of Nephrology. IYKYK
Mine used to love frosting. I wonder what she liked about it?
Absolute miracle drug brings hoope for our beloved pets xxx
Nothing like getting to write down those 2 little magic words: "owner approved" 😂
I've been sharing this fun fact for years
So why did my normally loving and affectionate little furball dang near murder me for the icing on a xmas cookie?
Cats can't (supposedly) taste sweet things and yet they are drawn to sweets like flies to honey. I wonder if their sense of smell might make up for the lack of taste buds. Most flavor for humans is a combination of both the work of your taste buds and your sense of smell, with smell giving all the nuance. That's why when you have a cold, often nothing tastes right or seems as flavorful. Maybe for cats they can "taste" sweet things with their noses, so no taste buds needed. It's also possible that what they can detect and like in sweet foods is the fat content. Meat does have plenty of fat, after all, so they can probably taste that.
I would love to know why my cat licked powdered sugar off my cheesecake
OH! You mean that cats don’t have the ability to taste sweet things. Not in a “no matter how you cook a cat it won’t taste sweet.” Never mind…
why do they seem to like sweet things like you said though? that's what I've wondered for years-- mine always tries to steal my iced tea. it should just be water and tannins to him!
I misunderstood the title.
I have a rag doll munchkin kitty she’s beautiful n very sweet. She’s a rescue
the egg did come first, according to science
😾 Penny says this is a humon lie! So we don't share our ice cream.
My eldest cat loves licking the plate after I’ve had a piece of apple pie.
Always ready for a bit of science!
Science!
Science needs to meet my cat. She goes for sweet things like a fly to sugar. Candy. Sugar. More candy. The fudge I made to give out on Christmas Eve. Every sweet pastry brought into this house. Lemon cake preferably with a sugar glaze. And don't tell me that cats don't like citrus either.
@margaretalbrrcht4650, cats are unable to have a sweet tooth. But they certainly are able to taste fats. I suspect that a lot of the items you mention contain fat. That is likely what your cat is enjoying: the fat.
Cats can also become addicted to sugar just like people can.
😾 My Penny agrees. Humon lies so we don't share.
@@fredericapanon207 Pure sugar candy. She loves it. She loves powdered sugar. So your theory won't fly.
@@Kuro_Reaper That I believe. She just went for the toffee I was given for Christmas.
Hell yeah, science!!!
Perfect use of that particular meme. 😂 It does make you wonder how cats can be so fussy about food, then, if they don't have as many taste buds? Ours seems to prefer turkey, tuna, & chicken.
One of my cats will come tearing around the house to find me when I have fruit of any kind. If he can't taste sweet, what is he obsessed with? I am now even more baffled by his behavior 😂
I was going to say the exact same thing! My cats love apples, bananas and watermelon. They are both Scottish fold mixed with others. Before the haters go hating.... I don't let them have a bunch, the vet says small amounts is fine.
@redchic my cat loves the same fruits! He also loves strawberries, blueberries and cantaloupe but hates citrus.
@@KnitWitch How interesting! Is he by chance Manx? That's the majority of the other half of my kitties. And I forgot the strawberries! Those are number 2, right behind watermelon. I've never tried cantaloupe or honeydew.. .but I'll have to give it a shot. Something about citrus says upset stomach to me. I don't know why though.
This could be more of a behavioural phenomenon if your cats will come to you if you have fruits. Don't forget that cats are curious, hunters and trust you feeding them. So, if you "hunted" fruits (so to say), your cat will come and see what it is. If it's edible, it most likely is good. Why else would you have caught it (for your cat)?
Could be that they like the texture and water/juices of the fruits.
Love the "sleeping" animal. You crack me up!
God that last one. ARE YOU ALIVE?! Ok just sleeping.
I had to sedate my 10 pound toy rat terrier before we went to the vet. He fought that medicine so much! I told one vet veterinarian that she’s going to need to tape his mouth shut so he wouldn’t bite her. She didn’t believe me and he bit her. I tried to warn the vet!
Poor Tom!! Merry Christmas.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🧑🎄🎁🎉
My dog's vet is a regular vet's office and urgent care combo. And they are open 14 hours a day, which is needed given my dog's track record with bright ideas...
I always warn the vet techs that if there are needles or loud noises or pain involved, my 9lbs chihuahua and terrier mix needs a muzzle. And for some reason they have to bathe him, they need to restrain him or he will turn into a cat who will try to climb them (he only lets me and his groomer bathe him, and this after months of training and patience and treats after the bath). Sure his bite likely won't break skin, but why risk it?
As someone who works in the surgery department at an animal hospital: eff y’all. Lmao. 🤣
As someone who worked in the ER department at an animal hospital: we are definitely not sorry and we will absolutely do it again. 😁
As a former ER animal hospital worker. Not sorry either😂😂😂😂@@simplystreeptacular
Have a wonderful Chrisymas! Love all the stylish outfits. 😂
Regifted hemostats. Great gift 🎁😂
Can confirm that Emergency and Surgery generally don't get along.
"Baby Burben, you know what I do for a living. You know this won't be enough." 😁 Merry Christmas.
Happy holidays everything 🎉🎉
“I don’t want to have to take the class again!” 😂🤣
See, my mind didn't go to adult toys. It went to dog poo, since it's a vet hospital. Lol.
Love it!
Someone at work has a put a picture of their cat on their locker door with the name “Colin Feral” underneath. Tbf it is a very handsome cat
