Hi Alex, happy new year. be nice to see you push the boot floor out in the video as it’ll help everyone see how it’s done. Maybe use axle stands when doing the rear dampers mate…or at least pop a wheel under the car in case that scissor jack fails. Hope you get this sold asap..👍🏻

Only good thing il say about the 1.2 engine is it starts first time even in -10c as last night i had to rush out for an emergency to help a friend and my 500 2013 lounge started first time , I do want to sell it though as the ride quality is very bad , Is it always bad on these ? As mine had an Mot not long ago and they said the shocks and springs are ok ? But every time i hit the smallest hole its like very harsh

Same as mine which is 2017 and 😊has a 7inch display. Otherwise looks like you have a good deal. The paint finish looks really good, well polished.😊

faults on the tail gates are divided between 3 faults and 1. the handle switch , fault, 2 the lock itself have micro switches in them that fail and lastly the common one is a break in the wires on the top of the tail gate. Look for the colour of wire at the handle find it at the top and do a continuity test between the 2 points putting a pin into the wire to make a connection at the top and bottom. Don't get to disheartened these faults are sent to test us. I had an intermittent fault on an Audi A3 ABS wiring took me ages to find the break in the wiring to the wheel. Find it and fixing it gives you a moment of euphoria!

My 2013 Lounge needs a new Cambelt and water pump nearly 90 thousand miles on original belt now lol I think i best get it done as only £350 for a mobile mechanic to do and they said if it does break then the engine will be scrap , There's a guy called Freddie Dobbs and he drives a cheap 2009 Pop 500 and its done 220 thousand miles now somehow lol so proof if you do look after them and get the clutch/gearbox fault done it can last a long time , only reason i want to sell mine is the ride quality is very bad , I want to get a Volvo as my next car it will cost more but need something that can cruise over a long motorway drive.

Hi, my 2008 fiat 500's usb port is not working properly. At first it wouldn't charge, it wouldn't play music, I couldn't connect my phone via bt, and the odometer started flickering. I disconnected the battery (-) 20-30 min, and after the odometer stopped flickering and I could connect the phone and it was charging, after a few seconds of connection (no music playing, and not detecting aux in settings) the odometer was flickering again (and the usb light bulb went out.) What to do? Is it a blue&me system problem? Should I replace the usb port?

The under dashboard wiring, documentation and sticker on windscreen tells you it had an insurance black box fitted.

I use the auto bead at 3:1, leave it 5 minutes. Agitate it with a detailing brush and then blast it. Gets everything off.

If you can see were wheel weight was fitted clean area up warm it up and re stick it on with some glue again. Next time you have two wheels that need cleaning do a comparison with the cleaners doing each wheel with the separate cleaner so we can see how well they work as using the autoglym first may have softened the worst of the brake dust. you are doing ok painting outside with aerosol paints at this time of year Alex.

lamda sensors are not the issues for not starting,lamda sensors job is to control fuel/air ratio and generally comes active after the car warms

This one was certainly a challenge!

Avoid those split sensor sockets. They will slip and round off a tight sensor every time. You should have just cut the wires flush with the sensor and used a 1/2 inch drive 6 point deep socket. Also, the sensor won't affect starting as it doesn't really function until the engine warms up and goes into closed loop.

If you're doing this. why you wouldn't clone an original style flip key with remote functions is beyond me. They are like $15 on Ebay and would help sell the car.

Miracles do happen though my 2013 Lounge version wuith 87k on the clock only went and passed the Mot all it needed was handbrake adjustment total including mot cost £100 all done , so yeah I may sell it if anyones interest a yellow 500 everything al good , I want to get a bigger car as i have health issues and yeah a 500 is no good as i live in a rural area , A Volvo i want probably S40 or similar

Great looking little car, I have the same colour on a 19 plate and just had to have a new slave & master cyl on the clutch which was creaking. Yesterday I had a cambelt/water pump. I also recently put on 4 new Avon ZV7's and had a service. I'm too old and riddled with Arthritis to be able to work on my car any longer so it's cost me over £1200 in the last 6 months but I absolutely love these little cars and hopefully done spending for a while ( famous last words 🤣) Really enjoyed the video and looking forward to hearing how you get on with the coolant problem.

You should be okay storm wise - we have it really bad in west wales currently (7th dec 11:30) but it should calm down before it gets to you. Hope this car stops causing you issues soon 🤞🤞
