Did I just see you disconnect the airbags with the battery still connected? It’s much easier disconnecting the seat plugs kneeling outside the car and removing bolts then tipping the seat backwards to unplug them.

Hiya buddy on Ebay they sell remote keys with un cut blade for £25 just type Fiat 500 remote key and it comes up the first one all you need to do then is get the blade cut and it programed hope this helps m8

Thats been a delivery car, deliveroo or evri etc, driver obviously didn't value there life as much as jumping in and out hence using a seatbelt plug 😞

Mate 😂 your a glutton for punishment I work at Copart and out management knows the cars we selling are dodgy 😂 some are Cat B and are never meant to be sold but we still do it , I'm only on here as guilt conscience , My advice would be buy off an eBay auction it would be safer for you as a trader , Also your buying like the most unreliable car ever made a Fiat 500 😂 no wonder your not earning a crust 😱

You should be able to use the car. Can tax it and insure it without the v5 if my memory serves me correctly. I would let the dvla know who’s using the car to cover your back. Clearly you’ve made contact with police. Again you could contact them to notify who’s using the car.

You can tax it with the v62 as long as it mot and insured

bugger .... there was something dodgy about this car from the start I remember saying is this s drug dealers car ? there were weird things in the boot and the car looked like it was abused by the previous owner

Register an online complaint with dvla you will receive your v5 within 14 days you can tax over the phone with dvla I had this happen with the last four cars I’ve bought from Copart

Possibly cloned as someone said. Also chance seller kept V5 as leverage and once didn’t get figure he wanted decided to be pedantic. Unfortunately they may come unstuck as Copart didn’t randomnly turn up and take the car with them. Do DVLA need court order for Copart paperwork saying the owner approached them to sell it. Soon be sorted hopefully.

Iv had similar issue purchased a vehicle from dvla un taxed vehicle auction johnpye auction. John pye auction people filled the logbook in my name and sent it off to dvla and gave me the green slip. I received the full logbook in my name 10 days later frome dvla. 6 weeks after that gets a letter from dvla saying someone else have applied for the v5 in there name and can you confirm I was still the owner and asked me to send front and rear picture of the car with number plate showing and stamped vin number on the bulkhead and the vin plate and the invoice from johnpye. I did that so 10 weeks after that I got another v5c with 1 extra former keepers added.

I reckon somebody has seen your car as salvage and are using your registration on a cloned car, that’s usually why DVLA ask for all the details you have mentioned to make sure you are the owner of the original car as someone is using your registration on theirs, hope you get it sorted

Cost me £700 to have the gearbox bearings and new clutch fitted reason why was the Gearbox oil had started leaking out all over the clutch so yeah needed to be done , Cars a nightmare though as still problems , Got to get MOT done next month so expecting another few hundred quid gone , I may sell mine get the £2 grand its worth after being Motd and just buy an old Yaris for like £800 as those old Toyotas just seem more reliable and better built than Fiats. Also where would you recommend selling a 500 ?

Going by the air filter, it's a safe bet the oil has never been changed and it's turned into sludge. Be a good idea to put in a pint of diesel as a flush before changing the oil.

I think all 500s should only be sold as Artwork they are not able to handle UK roads , How is it my neighbour has a Land Rover from the 1960s and it still starts first time and drives well but a car from 2012 is having do many issues ? Hopefully il be able to get shot of my 500 only bought it to look at 😂 and it's been nothing but trouble can't even handle driving 3 miles to work and back 😂 my old car a 2002 Astra Diesel never had issues until after 245 thousand miles 😮 shows how badly made newer cars are post 2010

“2012” are the last 4 numbers of the air filter part number, not the date code
