I have a Gen 5 .43 cal. I love it. Great power and accuracy perfectly acceptible over 25yards. Better accuracy with rubber or nylon balls and if you design your backstop carefully and use the right type of materials, you can trap the balls undamaged and use them many times, which makes it cheaper to run. I don't paintball as a game, so am not fully up on regs regarding .43 cal guns. The speed and impact are certainly 'flippin fast' and impressive on the Gen 5! That may make it out of bounds for some grounds.... I honestly don't know but have heard rumours. As for target and tin bashing or box punching, its amazing fun. I have not had issues with paint balls bursting except for a single instance and it was simple to clean up. As for not being able to see into the chamber..... you should ALWAYS drop the mag on any firearm which needs a Chamber inspection or has any malfunction. As soon as you do so, the chamber is fully visible . Also, with this type of power source and ammo combo, as soon as the mag is out, you cannot shoot yourself in the face or anyone around you! If you leave the mag in and start poking and pointing to see what malfunction you might have, you are going to shoot yourself or someone or something you didn't want to. Make no mistake, this thing will kill you if you use nylon or rubber or rubber/metal ball anmmo. Its lethal. Just train as you would exactly as using a live 9mm Glock. ALWAYS wear ballistic eye protection when using it. I also have a gen 5 pellet version air pistol which I have only used once.....having tried the .43 cal version, I am selling the other!! Its a fantastic air pistol, but the paintball marker is just incredible in comparison and is more like using the real article. Have fun and stay safe and legal folks !

Question: What magazine could be good for this model 5.8364? I am looking for spare mag but not this one from Umarex, it is leaking on top and I cannot seal it, new orings, grease etc not working. Any suggestions for compatible mag?

13 joules versions are available in the UK. As for legality. Only 7.5 joule allowed to be private owned without licence.

Try the Cododo 357 bullets with sabots from Italy. They hit hard.

Justin, you are 100% wrong. Its just physics. The 13 Joules TR50 can take the Devil Spikes, the Maximum Power Killer and the CNC golden destroyers. So, when it comes to 130m/s speed with a really sharp and spiky bullet of 2 or 3 grams...believe me, you dont want to get even one of them....not 6 in a row. They DO penetrate skin for an inch at least.

I have the Umarex HDP50 and I jave removed the baffle, making it more potent. With ball bearings for ammo this gun is now pretty mean.

I have this same setup (scope and rifle) and my scope does not sit centered when its mounted on the rail. It sits slightly off to the left, the opposite side on which the rail screws are. Does this seem normal?

Love mine, 2.7d, easier on fuel than my 1.9tdi Transporter. If you want something cheap to run buy a civic. These are comparable to a 7 series or S class which will cost as much to maintain, maybe more. You can buy a DRL foglight kit which is easy to install.

I would say the standard one is pretty worthless for self-defense but mine puts out about at a hundred joules. I can kill a bear with mine. I originally got it for defense against dogs when I was walking my other one but as usual I took it overboard and had to get another one that I maxed out at about 30 jewels so it wouldn't kill the dog. I love mine but I heavenly modified it too

The law is called "stand your ground" and it's in place in 50% of the states in the US as well (as well as in many other countries in the world). This law, and I quote from WIkipedia: "provides that people may use deadly force when they REASONABLY believe it to be necessary to defend against certain violent crimes". The smaller details in the law vary from country to country/state to state, but you can't get away with anything in the US either, or maybe you can if you live in Texas.

The 50 Joule HDX I have works great for home defense. I do agree that a 7.5 or 11 Joule launcher isn't going to be that effective, especially if it's only a 50 caliber.

If we followed every Law made to the letter we would still be living in caves. We do what we have to do in a society where things are getting a bit sticky and home protection to a man with common sense has no boundaries or laws that will stop him doing the right thing. The is enough TH-cam videos for us UK Umarex owners showing how to protect our families better.

Got the MK2 version of this 13 Joules.... with the ZRams Ammo, I'm not going to increase the power, this thing is already pushing the limits, close quarters these things will fracture and lodge in bones, enough of these in some ones face and they will be going to the other side, need to treat this with respect always.

Have had a Gen 5 T4E for over a year. Great for blasting boxes. Great feel and finish.

So wierd. I live in Norway and we are usually 300 years behind when it come to self defense stuff, but we can buy a 16 joule per now.

is true is useless unless u have a very fine aim and you put the ball in the eye.. it has no stop power.. you have to aim in the face yes or yes... in the body cant do anything in moment of rage...

If you don't want to mod the gun, any ammo you use is fine, provided you have targets, so you can say your use it for target practice, make sure the neighbours see you shooting it in the garden so they can testify you use it for target shooting. Those crossbow bolts you can get for it would cause serious damage, I've seen what they do to ballistic gel

Interessting POV, i live in Germany and as far as i know over here it works like this: Anything under 0,5 Joule is a toy, anything that has more but is under 7,5 Joule is allowed if you are 18+ Yrs. old but only to keep them at home, you are not allowed to take them with you outside, unless you have a licence for Firearms you are only allowed to take them around if in a case, enclosed and secured so that nobody can simply open a box or whatever and reach for it, the ammunition has to be transported separately and not in the same container as the Gun, which can be Spring loaded, Gas/CO2 or without anything coming out. Any firearm, it does not matter if CO2, Springloaded or whatever, if it has more than 7.5Joule it is only allowed to People with a Licence for Firearms, there are a couple ways to get the Licence, like if you are a collector or stuff like that, but you will have Someone coming to your place checking out what you have and wanting to see that you have an apropriate Cabinet for the Weapon to be kept safe, out of reach from Kids, in a way that if someone breaks in they can't Easily access the Weapon. Over here, we are as well allowed to Defend ourselves in our Home, but very much like in the UK, you have to defend yourself using Apropriate measures that are not going over the Top compared to the force the Intruder used, so in poor words, if someones breaks in and you shoot them, you get in jail, if you hurt them to a degree that they have life long repercussion, you gonna pay a life long for whatever you did to them. I myself own a Gas Pistol with Pepper Ammo (i dont know what it's proper name is) which has to be enough, but like you said in your Video, is it gonna stop someone that really wants to hurt you or your Family? not really If anyone from Germany knows better feel free to correct me.

That sucks in the uk I live in Canada we have no joule restriction just a "whatever you shoot needs to be under 500 fps or you need a pal" so use heavy rounds is key my launcher is modified to around 60 joules with the Z Ram V2's its a great plinker but boy you wouldent wanna get shot by one of these, however were not really allowed to defend our selves here too its like were always suppose to let ourselves fall to let the system do its thing as if our lives mean nothing life did not evolve that way and no system will not allow me to defend my own life punish me or not.

Ah well that's put payed to me buying an immaculate 2007 sport HSE, new tyres, all the belts just done and full service history but when I listened to problem with air suspension I'm now going to bail and keep my 2004 Cayenne S that I've had for fourteen years with few problems. Cheap to run since basically it's a Volkswagen and that's the difference between that and a Range Rover. The low and high pressure fuel pumps went, think it was £400 and £800 from Porsche but of course the same pumps from Volkswagen were £80 and £120. if you don't have friends in the trade don't buy a Porsche, since servicing is a fortune but if you friends that are good mechanics (mates prices) then it's cheap as chips but the same can be said for any high end car.
