As an active Splatoon player, I've had to delete numerous memories from it because the limit for clips is 1000. Same for games like Mario & Luigi too although less severe since the screenshot limit is 10 times as much. Big SD Cards are also useless on Switch unless you are downloading alot of 3rd parties thanks to this. While Splatoon 2 & 3 versions on more powerful hardware would be nice, my biggest hope for the Switch 2 is that limit removed, along with the ability to record longer clips (at least 3 minutes) or even entire play sessions, like the PS5.

My biggest wish for Switch 2 aside from the new Mario Kart is beefier single player for the next Smash game. With how much of a success Ultimate was, I think single player is one of the biggest of Ultimate’s flaws that a new game can fix. (And don’t @ me saying that the next Smash is going to be Ultimate Deluxe. The Switch 2 is already backwards compatible. Ultimate’s still going to be playable on it.)

I don’t see why Switch 1 Joy-Cons would be incompatible with Switch 2. They released an accessory to charge them while not attached to any console the same day as Mario Party Jamboree. So problem solved for not being able to connect them to Switch 2. Also, yes, I want a new Donkey Kong game. And while I’d love another 2D Country game, BRING DK TO 3D OH MY GOODNESS THERE IS SO MUCH POTENTIAL FOR A NEW 3D DK GAME PLEASE! We did that ONCE and never again, and the potential is absolutely there for making a fun game where you explore a world with DK and the abilities he has. Also, I really don’t jive with the notion of “it HAS to be Retro developing Donkey Kong.” Given what we heard about the cancelled Donkey Kong Freedom game, that was gonna be Vicarious Visions. And the person who spread the rumor that a DK game was being done in house by the Odyssey team said it was still happening, it just got moved to Switch 2… so I think DK getting a game can happen even without Retro’s involvement. And I sure hope it’s sooner rather than later, Tropical Freeze made DKC my favorite series, so that 11 year gap is torture for me when I wanted a new game to follow up Tropical Freeze.

(12:35) For a new 3D Mario, I really think it should be open world, like Breath of the Wild compared to all other Zelda games, except the terrain itself is more suited to Mario. We have Odyssey, but that is 15 small open worlds in one game, not one giant open world. Even though you can wander in the kingdoms and do what you want, the kingdoms themselves are not intertwined and still have to be explored in order.

Seeing Mario Kart at 10 really is upsetting

Im gonna be real, I feel Double Dash is the most overrated Mario Kart imo. The controls feel a lot like Super Circuit and MKDS had a baby and you got a confusing mix of Snaking and very slippery controls that sometimes just dont feel good at all. You'll spend alot of the race doing small adjustments because your drift shot you off in a very bad direction. Then there's falling off and getting hit...falling off in Mario kart is always a pain however in Double dash it basically just causes you to lose! In every race there are 2 racers that are ALWAYS on your tail, which is fine at first...but the moment they land a hit with a red shell they speed past and its a nightmare to get past them. And god save you if they push you off...all the stages you can fall off have such low death barriers that you spend 2 seconds falling just to wait another 2-3 upon hitting the death barrier and then 1-2 seconds for Lakitu to drop you down...thats 5-7 seconds where you cant do anything...and in a video game that means alot more. Often on 150 gitting hit or falling off just means youre doomed to 2nd with little chance of 1st. The double driver gimmick seems redundant as well...the mix and matching of special items are cool but Tour had special items and honestly felt so much better...not to mention some characters have items that are unnecessary...Luigi and Birdo specifically have items that work the EXACT same as their counterparts...so why do they have unique items!? In Tour the Birdo egg at least worked slightly different for the Yoshi egg...the Birdo egg would shoot items forward, mostly being hazards and The Yoshi Egg dropped them backwards having a slightly better chance for mushrooms. But Double dash gave them items that aren't different? Why!!!? King Boo and Petey cant even use them because they're literally the exact same as Fireball and Yoshi Eggs and putting them into their roulette would just double the chance of getting a Fireball or Yoshi Egg. It did some good. The tracks, music, and roster of great. But thats about it...the unique items work so much better in tour, the 2 racers does VERY little for the game, the challenge us set stupidly high and you get punished just for doing good. And no its not a skill issue as I'm actually very good at Mario Kart and have completed and performed well in various tournaments both official and unofficial. Double Dash is decent...but imo it's down there with Super, Super Circuit, and N64...it doesnt measure up to Wii and 8 Deluxe...again just my opinion, if it's you're favorite then thats fine! I however fail to see the hype since I replayed it recently.
