QUEEN RECOMMENDATIONS - “Somebody To Love” Live at: MILTON KEYNES BOWL IN 1982 (I know you already did Montreal, which is the better-known version because it was filmed in such high HD (and it IS technically perfect, obv)… BUT, the performance at Milton Keynes is the one that Queen put in their official compilation of Best Live Performances!) “Under Pressure” Live at Wembley Stadium in 1986 (The video that’s OVER 5 MINUTES LONG, so it includes Freddie’s most famous “call-and-repeat” improv w the audience… This improv segment w Freddie is STILL used in the 21st century… including at the 2012 Olympics!! Fred appears before live audiences via a ginormous video screen, and the audiences STILL do what he says!)

I saw Queen with Freddie about a dozen times over the years - not at Live Aid though. I never had to pay for tickets because I married the bass player’s sister. I saw Bowie on the Ziggy Stardust tour - the ticket was exactly £1!

New subscriber ! Love the reactions and appreciation for an amazing band! Poor Freddie had a throat infection and was advised by doctors to not perform. He drank some vodka and went out and killed it! I was 15 and watched it on tv in the US. Never was able to go to one of their concerts, which is a big regret of mine. The ‘86 Wembley concert is incredible 💛💛💛💛 worth the 2 hour watch !

Regarding being nervous, apparently Freddie was asked that question before going on and he reputedly said "No darling, I was born to do this!" I don't know if that's true, but even if it's not, I can imagine him saying something like that. Also Queen were used to playing huge stadiums and they were much better rehearsed than many others. They said the acoustics on stage were awful and they couldn't hear one another. You can see a lot of visual cues being used between them, John in particular continually turns to Roger. Aren't you glad you watched it now? 😂😂😂

For a singer to perform like Freddie did with a throat infection not laryngitis you can't talk with it let alone sing.He was a true professional as is the whole band . White Queen Odeon Hammersmith 1975.You won't be disappointed.

Hi guys! I was one of the BILLION + people in the world who watched this show on TV in New Jersey, USA. I think it was the FIRST show ever to be simulcast with solo artists/bands in the USA and solo artists/bands in the UK and viewed all over the world. We can thank Bob Geldof, who produced this mega show, for his incredible creativity and for getting all these remarkable, ingenious, magical bands and soloists to perform on this one fantastic day! I don't think we'll ever see the likes of it again...though, God knows, we need it now more than ever. Regardless of genre, I believe that music is a beautiful unifier. There is a short video on youtube which shows Queen rehearsing for this show - one of the few bands that actually rehearsed. In the video you can see huge clocks hung on the walls so that the band knew exactly how much time each song took. To make everything fit the 20 minute timeframe, they shortened some songs, sped up others. Queen were PERFECTIONISTS in everything they did and it showed in every Queen concert I was so fortunate to attend in the 1970s in New York and in 1981 in Montreal. To see Brian, Roger, John and Freddie up close and personal was PURE MAGIC! 🥰 Wish you could have been there...but, then, you two would be as old as I am...LOL!

It took 53 articulated trucks 2 x 747s and an Antonov heavy lift aircraft. To transport the 3 x 70 tonne stage sets around the world leapfrogging from town to town one being set up, one in use one being taken down. GUY PRATT: there's an Aussie show Spicks & Specs where he talks about the "💣" on his bass @ gig & trying to smash a through neck carbon graphite guitar Who style - it's a bloody pisser. Only a few minutes in and your "reaction" is appalling. Yes, he did sweat a lot under hot lighting, hence the headband. I don't see anything funny about that. His outfit also looks good. Your comments are preposterous. Here we have some of the best guitar playing and drumming ever. If you dont like it, I'm scratching my head trying to imagine what type of music you do like... church choir perhaps? Accordion?

The ticket price for Live Aid at Wembley was £5, plus a £20 charity donation - the point of the concert was famine relief for Africa. Queen was not the only act, though they had the best set of the day. Live Aid was an all-day concert in both London and Philadelphia, simulcast live on MTV. You should also check out U2's set - 2d best set of the day, and it put them on the map.

I was at this concert as a young 24 year old and now all those years later as a still young 63 year old I still listen to queen daily, they easily stole the show that day despite now being on the original pre show line up as they were a last minute addition. If I remember rightly the price of the ticket was only £5 but came with an additional £20 charity donation , so £25 which was alot of cash back in them days but so worth it just for the experience . Not all the bands were so good, I can remember Adam and the ants playing and they were awful. For 22 minutes in 1985 the uk was ruled by a different queen, absolutely brilliant. Great reaction once again lads , it's great to see younger generations experience the amazing talent that this band had.

Was so privileged to have seen Queen live at Knebworth Park in the mid 80s. What a performance and what an experience! Feel so lucky to have had the opportunity. Watching Freddie and these guys live was like nothing else, and being amongst a mammoth crowd all fully involved, singing along and reacting to every moment was unbelievable. I remember the amazing crowd participation for Radio GaGa, and turning round to see a never-ending sea of people all around and behind me clapping in unison! What a moment! We truly were all as one with Freddie and the band. Truly unforgettable! And something I feel increasingly appreciative of as the years go by, and as I watch the reactions of younger generations to the band today. Thank you for watching and appreciating, lads. 👍
