Oh my goodness how I look forward to this ❤ Yes, the guitars are doing Arpeggis. Did you notice that Thom's guitar comes in quite late?I think Jonny and Ed is finding it hard too, you can really see them syncing up on the beginning ♥️ Notice how the bass comes back in pretty late? You think it's the bass, but it's just the bass strings on Thom's guitar. Phil is a human drum machine! And I am pretty sure Jonny is the one just holding everyone else in tempo. That man is a wizard. After the Rhodes part he is sampling a guitar part without us hearing it and feeding it through some stuff and out via a guitar, the man is famous for programming his own music software to get what he wants so... 😍
Such a cool song, and one of those tunes that I would consider a real "grower". The first couple of times I heard this I liked it but it wasn't mind blowing or anything but after hearing it a few times it went from being one of my least favorites on the album to being one of my favorites. I find that happens a lot with Radiohead.
Earlier in the song the lead guitarist records a solo (in the middle of the song) records it, then plays the recording backwards.
Love that!
Try almost any song from the basement especially the album The King of Limbs
Either Nude or Reckoner from this same basement session are more emotional songs that tend to "move" people.
Love Ed O Brien doing background vocals
They were VERY good weren’t they!

only ed and thom are playing in threes; jonny starts in three and then goes to something more like fives
