My YouTube AUDIO GOT Way Better With This Device !
มุมมอง 295ปีที่แล้ว
My TH-cam AUDIO GOT Way Better With This Device !
I currently have two TSR 700 receivers (and one A6A.) In the past, I have spent more money on "higher" end Yamaha AVR's, too. But to my surprise, this "consumer model Yamaha TSR 700" rivals the features and quality of those units. I use the TSR 700 with a 5.2.2 set up (but it has the ability to be set up as a 7.2.1). If you have a small to mid size room, the TSR 700 will more than meet your needs! But note, if you have a need for Pre-out connections, the TSR 700 Pre-out connections are limited to ONLY the Front Speakers and the Subwoofers. If you need to Pre-out more channels, you might take a look at the Yamaha A4A or A6A. But I digress . . . bang for buck, if you are looking for a Yamaha AVR on a budget, but still want a quality AVR, consider the TRS 700.
I really enjoyed this format of reviewing speakers and I actually liked the wind chime 😄
Can you comment for surround speakers? Was thinking of this solution to run powered surrounds avoiding demolition of my home theater room thanks. Great video.
I need to test and measure using REW with and without wires before I can give proper comments on surrounds. One thing I can say without testing is the frequency range of this 6 Hz to 22,000 Hz which covers speaker range as well.
What no Bowers & Wilkins
Yeah good one. I hope the manufacturer or a friend would let me borrow one for a review
Hello, so I just bought this.. I don’t know anything about audio., I was wondering if you can help me connect JBL 520CBK to my smart tv.. what other connections do I need to buy?
Hi, to connect this passive speaker (meaning it does not have its own power) you need a receiver or amplifier. The idea is tv connects to this Receiver (or amplifier) via hdmi cable and the speaker is connected to the Receiver (or amplifier) using a regular speaker cable. I will make a video this week rather than long comment. Do you have just this speaker or have you bought any other speakers? We can discuss further as you reply to this comment. Also, do you live in the US so I can suggest black Friday deals to things you need. How much more would you spend to set this up? At a minimum. You need a Receiver (around $250), 2 front speakers ($150 to $500), speaker cables ($50). I also recommend a subwoofer ($200 $500)
@ I only have this speaker. Yes please if you can make a video
My mistake, $200 more. you get what you pay for. Anyone that tells you 25 Hz is extension is not of this planet.
I agree with SVS being better and I am assuming you are referring to SVS PB 1000 Pro. The app with parametric EQ which comes with SVS pro really makes a difference if one takes time to measure using REW and use the EQ. Having said that - This RSL is a much affordable plug and play for low effort audiophile.
@ well I don't know exactly. Having to reach back and turn on the LFE to try to get some equalization is just a way of putting a Band-Aid on a bullet wound. Yes it's cheaper I agree, but it is not a full range subwoofer. I never use EQ and I have a 20 x 25 room. Both of my subwoofers don't have room gain equalization or parametric EQ activated and sounds fantastic. add on the PB - 1000 pro and you have Nirvana.
It better be affordable if it's only dropping to 26 Hz. I have no idea why this is the new Emotiva, but they're making Kool-Aid by the ton. Just spend $100 more and get an SVS which is a real subwoofer that will drop to real 20 Hz levels.
I have a bose cinemate 15 does this work with mine
The input connection to your bose system is made to the soundbar which basically takes all frequencies as input. For this adapter, the specs page show the rated frequency response for transmission is 6 Hz to 22,000 Hz. This means it should work with almost all analog system connections as it can transmit low as well as high frequencies. Make sure you currently use the analog R L inputs on the bose soundbar and not the digital connections such as the optical input.
Just sold my REL T5/X for this
This should sound better. Not sure about the looks though as the REL looks nicer.
Currently for sale at 163 EUR in Germany for a single unit !
Which will save battery
The more vibrant option uses more battery. I would say around 20% more.
And what about delay? Would It be acceptable in wireless option?
The AV Receiver during calibration measures the delay and adjusts accordingly. The latency is not noticeable at all.
@starazure, I have My current setup with Sony DH 540 receiver. 2 Monolith T6 towers, I had a monoprice Monolith C5 center but I switched to Klipsch 450C center based on reviews and suggestions. Subs = dual setup. I have a sub from 10565 monoprice 5.1 set thats on right side between 2 tower speakers. I am using monoprice 9723 12" sub 150W one that sits on left in between the 2 Monolith T6 towers. Just bought Monolith THX 365C for less than $400 open box. I was expecting huge improvement over my Klipsch 450C, and SVS Prime Center (purchased recently as well). I was impressed with Klipsch 450c sound, SVS Prime center was decent. Monolith THX 365C has not wowed me yet for the price. I was expecting a whole lot from it and had very high expectations. I am originally from India so I test some bollywood movies like jab tak hai jaan first poem song SRK driving bike, KGF 2 scenes before interval , Pushpa scenes, Animal scene where they enter building to kill his Bro in law. 1. Is it my basic Sony DH 540 receiver that might be an issue?( cross over set at 80hz for all speakers, on left side monoprice 9723 12" sub, crossover set to full, volume at 12-1 clock position) 2. I purchased Pioneer Elite LX 305 and have not connected yet. Would that be a huge improvement overall including my THX 365C centers sound? 3. I purchased SVS SB 1000 Pro subwoofer as well which I have not connected yet. In short, I have been testing SVS Prime Center, Monolith THX 365C center speakers on Sony DH 540 receiver using it as a base for all speakers. I wanted to keep everything the same and change ONLY centers to get a feel of the sound from the same receiver. Any suggestions? Does receiver also make a huge difference to the sound? Sony DH 540 has handled monolith towers well for 4 ohm speakers.
What is doing this problem
My guess is their lead engineer did not have good vision insurance !!
in this 5 minute Bidio ?
But it's definitely not a Bidio 😆
I've 6 ohm speakers...wharfadale, can this avr will be comfortable to play...?
I have used 6phm JBL 520C with it and it had no issues. Having said that, the sensitivity of the speakers is desirable to be around 88 to 89db which is standard. Less sensitive means it reacts less to signal and needs a more powerful signal.
Boycott samsung
I purchased this receiver earlier this week and it has been working well. I have yet to connect my floor standing speakers but my Jamo S803s are fine for my front speakers. My center channel speaker is a BIC DV-62 and it is great and goes well with the BIC DV-84 towers!
Congrats. If your Jamo S803 bookshelf will serve as front, are you considering the floor standing ones for zone 2?
@starazure I am a little concerned about the Jamo line since their purchase by Klipsch and the resultant disappearance of the S803s. My wife and I have put a hold on the Zone 2 speaker decision until after we move.
I have Jamo S803 but they are collecting dust after I got the KEF Q350 pair on sale for $497 on Amazon. If you are concerned about the Jamo hopefully return window is still open or you could use them as rear surround in future.
@@starazure Very few of the Klipsch speakers hold any interest for me. I do like the Polk XT70 but I want to listen to them first.
Great review. What would u suggest btwn Yamaha RxV6A and Denon X1800H? Thank you in advance. Keep up da great work.✌️✌️✌️
Thanks for the kind words. The Denon X1800H has a better calibration Audyssey so unless you intend to spend $250 more on a EQ device such as miniDSP that is definitely a plus. The yamaha's YPAO calibration is decent but I had to measure using the Room EQ Wizard (REW) and adjust levels myself. Both have zone 2 which is actually useful if you can run wires to another room or outdoor speakers. Yamaha has more power (100W) vs 80W for Denon so better audio especially with less sensitive speakers but this power demand comes into play only in rare cases where many speakers need to play lots of sound simultaneously. Denon can upscale video to 4K and 8K while Yamaha just 4k if you will use an 8K display. Yamaha has a better built in DAC so overall audio quality is better. Very close in performance but Yamaha has slightly better components while Denon has slightly better software. Good luck.
How’s the webcam and mic quality ?
The monitor itself does not have a mic or Webcam but it accepts these devices via USB or 3.5mm jack. The quality will depend on the devices you use. I recommend getting a Sony ZVE10 camera that can be used directly as a Webcam giving professional grade Webcam quality but is an overkill in most cases. As for audio, there are so any usb mic options.
Wow you actually touched on something I had a question about. I currently have the 550p but saw the 10E and was wondering if it was worth the upgrade? I got it for under $180 at the time I've had it now for about 5 years. After a couple years the phase 0 setting now buzzes (it's on 180 now, sound fine to me though) and also sometimes I hear a slight buzz/humming in general. If I remove the sub cable and replug it, it stops but I have to do it every so often. The quality on the 550p havs issues I've heard but again I get by.. it works with some caveats of course. Would you upgrade or think it's worth to it to go to the 10E?
If your Jbl 550p works without issues it's not a significant upgrade. Jbl starts humming especially when not used for sometime. If your jbl works kinda ok, I would spend a bit more on the RSL 10S/12S or the SVS SB2000 pro which is $699 currently considering the SB1000 is just $100 less.
Sounds like high-quality stuff. Go ahead and buy another one from the same company. 5 years is sickening. You're familiar with Einstein's quote I assume?
@@1999StangGT4 Not sure if you understood my original comment. I never questioned if I should buy another JBL 550p. Question was if I should get rid of it to buy the 10E. I'm not touching another 550p with a 10' pole. As of now.. it "works" and I can "get buy". It sounds perfectly fine but with the aforementioned caveats.
@@tomle2553 got it, when you started moving around in time frames I assumed you meant the RSL. I would still steer clear of the RSL because it's not a true 20 Hz sub. Spent the other couple hundred on an SVS trust me you'll like it. Sometimes I just love reviews where cheapskates are looking for something that they want for X price and when they see a good review on it even if the specs are not even close to being a full 20 Hz extension they will get it because they feel better. Cheapskates never change their stripes. You can buy a subwoofer or you can buy a sub woofer. RSL with their smoke and mirrors and this LFE6DB bump is just an equalizer. And it still won't reach 20
@@1999StangGT4 I see where you're coming from. I truly do. Being cheap vs having a budget is 2 different things though. But I feel ya. I appreciate you chiming in. With that being said I can't afford a sub going down to 20hz and believe me I really wish I could. But with that being said, I live in 2 bedroom apt with a couple shared walls.. it's rare enough that I run my current setup even at reference level as it is. Ideally, I'd love to keep my next sub under $500 because a. that's my budget (actually a bit higher than I'd prefer) and b. that's all my space will allow. I've heard great things about RSL fitting that bill mainly the 10S MKII. What would you recommend in my scenario?
You said multiple times in each video you were going to do a comparison between the Monolith 12 and pb2000. Are you still planning on the shoot out?
Yes definitely. I am in touch with RSL who sent me the 10E but awaiting the 12S speedwoofer. If I don't get it in time I will make the video without including it Thanks for the support!
Is this code available on a GIT site?
You can solder the ends of your speaker wires and then it's no more difficult than banana connectors.
That's a really smart idea. Time to dust off my soldering iron.
Why say the SVS ultra is not a good grill, it may be the most transparent and thus good..,
The one I got had a warp and bent. I contacted SVS and they sent a Free replacement which is good but not great. For example KEF sells Q350 magnetic grille for just $25 and far superior quality.
Too bad it doesn’t have high level speaker inputs like the 10S mkii. I need those for my set up.😢
Your amp/receiver does not have Low level(RCA) or dedicated sub out ?
@@starazure It’s a 1974 Marantz 2220B. It does have low level RCA outs, but I thought you can not connect a subwoofer through those. The output signal is too low.
Great review. I am a beginner but purchased 2 Polk atrium 6 outdoor speakers for outdoor patio. (100w per speaker). Would this support the two atrium 6’s on zone 2 with a basic 2 speaker and 1 sub indoors tv room?
Yes, I use two Yamaha speakers (link to deal below) and use it as zone two. I use 14AWG wires around 70 feet of wire length. superhotdeals.net/deal/yamaha-2-way-high-performance-wall-mount-outdoor-speakers-51-percent-off-at-best-buy_isCUPi_EWA
Pl make a review on yamaha NS P350 speaker package with sw300 subwoofer.
Podias ter comparado novamente o s23ultra com o s24 ultra. Não vi nenhuma diferença depois da actualização. Quanto é que a Samsung te pagou para pedires desculpa?😂
Crutchfield today, October 7, 2024 has the Yamaha RX -V6A 7.2 on sale for $549.95 and including a $50 Crutchfield gift card. Or you can go for the scratch and dent as brand new for $470.21 which I did and it plays perfect. I actually paid $680.04 days ago for scratch and dent and I caught there sale this morning. So I got them too refund my money back down to their sales price of $470
i would get this if the shipping costs werent so high for me tax and shipping make the price double of the showcased one
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can figure out a driver, get a Subwoofer anp and build one for cheap. I want to make a video but my wood working carpentry skills are not that great !
@@starazure ye i looked into making one myself recently too and i feel like itll be too much effort for the end product i honestly might still buy the speedwoofer even with the doubled cost i have due to shipping.
Well done sir. Thanks. Which country are you from? and SVS soundpath wireless adapters is it available in India?
Thanks sir. There could be alternative options available in India but I'm not sure. I would measure the response using at least your receivers calibration microphone to make sure whatever adapter you buy is not loosing a lot of bass. Good luck!
Nice video! Thanks
Interesting, informative and succinct video! I have my RX-V6A hooked up to a massive (passive) Elac soundbar model "Muro" MSB41L. It's over 60" wide and almost 30 lbs! This handles L/R/C duties masterfully. Elac ceiling mounted 2-way speakers support the rear channels. Low end is covered well by an SVS PB-1000 Pro sub. Together all fantastically support an 83" LG C2 Evo 4K OLED panel. It fills our greatroom with beautiful and majestic sound / wife love the small footprint (and the sound). The RX-V6A is an incredibly good sounding, feature rich receiver and fantastic bang for the buck! 🙂
That sounds awesome. Hope you will get the thumbs up to increase the footprint a little bit and get a second sub :)

Just got the RSL Speedwoofer 10E. It replaced a Klipsch R-100SW subwoofer for home theater use. Put on the movie "San Andreas" and WOW. The excursion of this sub is impressive. And at the price of $299 shipped it is hard to beat.
As far as virtual effects are concerned, I'd rather have a budget centre channel placed on top of a cabinet than a hi End Centre channel placed within a cabinet. Conclusion; For a centre channel to perform at its best, it really needs to be out of the cabinet. Good video btw
question-- want to replace SAMSUNG HT-C5530 BLU ray wants to keep speakers, is it possible to use Sony AV receiver with those speakers??
Yes, Samsung HTC5530 speakers can be connected to AV receiver, but you may need an appropriate adapter or amplifier, as the speakers are typically designed for a specific system. Make sure the receiver's output is compatible with the speakers’ input. Check the impedance and power ratings to ensure safe and optimal performance.
My room is only 12 feet by 11 feet and ceiling is 9 feet high. Will this sub be more than enough for such a small room? I'm currently running 4 Polk Audio es15 speakers for front and rears and an es30 center speaker. The receiver is a Denon 970h. Will this sub be better than a Logitech z906 subwoofer?
There is no comparison between this subwoofer and the Logitech z906. This is far more superior. Also this subwoofer is ideal for your room as it can lack power for bigger rooms.
@@starazure oh OK thank you.
Logitech is a PC peripheral company that doesn't really specialize in audio equipment. That Z906 sub is in an ineffective sized enclosure and it's just an 8-inch sub. The port is so big to make up for the smaller enclosure, which is made more for size to fit under a desk. The sub itself has a vented pole but just a single magnet and has foam surround. There isn't even any polyfill inside the sub enclosure to help tune bass frequency at all. There are teardown videos on TH-cam where you can see this. There's really no comparison to any legit home theater subwoofer, even lower priced subwoofers like a Dayton Audio. The RSL Speedwoofer 10E is light years beyond the Z906 sub. It's a superior home theater subwoofer from a renown and legitimate audio product manufacturer.
You phrased it much better than I did. Thank you 😊
Thank you please come again. No I'm on pump number 2 thank you 😂😂
malayalee alle ?
Athe.. engane manasil aayi ?
Will it work with iPad?
Thanks again for this review, im now a proud owner of the ultra centre in black oak , not the glossy fingerprint nightmare!!!. Only 2 days in but loving it paired with 4 x fein f502 and old mission sub. Couldn't justify £2k for the fein 8 inch centre.
That's great to hear.. glad you like it and enjoy your setup !
I purchased the 16" on a 1k deal from monoprice. It's insane no way is it only 140lbs the shipping weight was 240lbs. Thought they messed up and sent a bigger one. Either way in my theater it shakes the entire house violently. The specs they give for recommended square feet is probably correct for 3000 square feet. I've only got about 650 square feet for the theater. Either way these are priced great for what you get. Wish it had an app mines behind a screen.
Wow thats insanely heavy.. Im sure you get effortless bass as you don't really need to crank up the volume much.. You probably have it behind an acoustically transparent screen. Question for you - Does that cause any kind of screen movement or vibration when all that air comes out of the ports?
@@starazure I don't see any movement from the screen or fabric from the bass. It's sort of unexpected based on the sound. I would almost expect at least the fabric to move. It's very acoustically transparent and stapled down so maybe that's why.
I recently bought this and I have a question. In this mouse, isn't there the red presentation buttons when it is flat or are those the older models?
It's just a red laser pointer (like the one you but to play with your cat). So will be useful to point at a projector screen to show something.
Great review and I personally really enjoy a little prop comedy. New sub!
Ha ha. Thank you 😊
Don't drop this receiver, even in its box. Very thin PC Board and not built up to the standards of classic SONY Amps or Receivers. Want a great amp look for a TA-2625 or TA-F3A. Works of art inside and out.
What about data from memory card?
You will need to take memory card out and insert it into new phone.
I high-pass mine at 45Hz in my 10' X 13' room. They sound so spatial and the soundstage is huge! Plenty of bass- no sub needed. Music has great punch and energy. Check out 10cc " I'm Not In Love" at fairly high volume. MIND BLOWING!! The stereo imaging in incredible! At $499, these are a steal!
Thank you for this video. You are a lifesaver
