Would you mind sharing information about your needle case!!!
@@tammymcdonald3255 I purchased it from this lovely seller. fivetosix.com
TU for a enjoyable video ❤❤❤
Love your Go Go Dynamo shawl - the colors are beautiful. For the pink yarn, maybe Wilder? For Laura Ingalls Wilder author of the Little House Series.
Where did you get the needle case.? Did you make it or someone else. What a great idea. Love your videos and your yarns.
@@susanbajdek6698 I got it from this lovely seller. fivetosix.com
Edith Wharton is one of my favorite authors, especially "Ethan Frome". 😊
I know you use last names of authors for colorways, but I think Daphne would be a great name for that beautiful soft pink. But I think DuMaurier would be great.
I think L. M. Montgomery for the pink yarn.
Another great episode Emily. Your sister's gift is just too cute 🐇 I would love Margaret Mitchell, Wizard of Oz fame, for the pink colorway. I am excited to see the new design as you create it. By the way, love the 'new' haircolor and length, it's very flattering 😊
How about Angelou - for Maya Angelou. The pink is very soft (angel-isk) and even though Ms.Angelou was a power house she gave us a piece of her to keep on earth. She will always be an angel .
I thought a name for your pink colour way could be Josephine Tey. She was a writer of books and plays during the Golden Age. She was also a teacher, and care giver for her parents. She is the only person male or female to have had Play's , performed at the same time in the West End UK, and on Broadway in the US. A very creative person.
I'm reading Sylvia Plath right now, so that's where my mind went for your author color name.
Hi, Emily. A suggestion for the colour name - Shelley (Mary) ?
Emily, everything you dye is gorgeous as well as everything you knit! It’s always a joy to see a new podcast from you. You are always upbeat and cheerful!
Love your shawl-and the cowl that you are wearing. My author name suggestion is Willa for Willa Cather (she is from NE as am I).
Hi Emily. How about Mary Shelly? Also can you explain to us the difference between your sock bases please.
The little vest is adorable! I need to knit one for my 18 month old! My author suggestion is “Kingsbury” for Karen Kingsbury.
That bunny and her house! Incredible. Such creativity! Re the yarn in your lovely shawl-do you have a Rossetti?
I have been watching your podcasts for quite a few years now and always enjoy them. Colourway suggestion: (Christina) Rossetti.
Shaw is beatful
You could always name your colorway Clawson! YOU love pink and you are a writer! ✍️ as a very big fan of pink, I think it’s a great idea 🩷
I am excited to see your cardigan-such a fantastic color! And I would love to know more about your needle storage case. It looks like such a perfect storage solution!
@@amyj9907 I bought it from this lovely seller. It's wonderful! fivetosix.com
Thanks Emily. Always look forward to seeing and listening to you. I’m in the far west of the uk but distance doesn’t seem to matter . Could I ask please where did you get your needle case from .? Or is it something that perhaps you made. Looks a good way of storing your needles . I only knit socks on circulars. I have a granddaughter the same age as Adam, what a joy she is, I knit on straights for her cardigans, not ventured on circulars. Thanks again.
@@marlenefaull248 I got the needle case from this lovely seller. fivetosix.com Thanks for your sweet message!
I think Agatha is a good name for that beautiful pink.
I don’t know why, but that delicate sweet pink makes me want to tell you to name it Atwood. Margaret’s writing can be so hard/harsh for her women characters, so let’s lighten her up with a sweet pink.
Hi Emily! How about Streatfeild for the pink colored yarn? For Noel Streatfeild, author of the classic Shoe Books. The pink immediately reminded me of the Ballet Shoes book. Also, so sorry about your toe! No fun! Wishing you a speedy recovery with that 😊
Authors name. How about Blume for Judy Blume ❤ love the wee vest for your grandson. I should knit a similar for my nephew. So cute.
Potter of Beatrice Potter.
Hi, Emily! Great episode, especially love the Stephen West shawl and cardi idea! As for that new pink Authors colorway, it did make me think of Dickenson when you said it, but I was thinking maybe as it's nearly December, you could call it Hoffman, after the author of "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" (E.T.A. Hoffman)?
How about Barrett- for Elizabeth Barrett Browning
Hello Emily! All your projects are so beautiful as usual. Such a thoughtful gift from Deborah. As far as a name for your lovely pink colorway, here’s a long shot. How about “Pink House” or “Pink Casa” as a nod to the Latina author Sandra Cisneros? She caused quite a stir back in the 90s when she opted to paint her house pink much to the chagrin of the Historic Society or something of the sort. The actual color wasn’t a true pink but it read as pink. Thanks for sharing. You’re such an inspiration. Love your hair btw. Hugs from Deep South Texas. PS I hope your toe heals quickly.
Your shawl is one of the best I’ve seen! Lovely. What about Angelou for an Authors name? After Maya Angelou. Lovely gift from your sister. A good choice for the yarn. Thanks for sharing and keeping me company when I’m trying to knit up a storm through some baby knits x
What about Jane Austin for that pink color. That shawl is really beautiful.
Hi Emily. So sorry to hear your ill. Prayers for a quick recovery. Margaret Mitchell came to mind for your color. Your bunny is adorable. Penny of Penelope’s Chinwag has some adorable stuffed animal friends and all their clothes and accessories. All the best! Sheila
Your shawl is beautiful. I’ve seen a few finished ones now and I think this is Stephen’s best so far. My suggestion for the pink yarn would be Blyton after the British children’s writer. Hope you’re feeling better now x
Hi Emily, great to spend time with you again. The new colour way is gorgeous! My suggestion for the author name is Flagg. Evelyn Couch, Kathy Bates' character, wears a pink suit in the movie adaptation of Fannie Flagg's novel Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe.
The shawl is gorgeous! I would name it 'De Maurier' - because I'd instantly think 'Daphne' which is beautiful and feminine for such a soft pink 🩷
I’m so glad your toe is improving . Nothing brings home the gratitude for a healthy body quite like an injury. As for a name for the new pink- what do you think of J.K. Rowling? She is, perhaps, the author that single handedly drew so many children ( and adults) back to a love of reading in recent decades.
Although Malala only co-authored her autobiography, in my opinion her book represents pink in a very prominent way right down to the colour of her clothes
My suggestion for your pink yarn is Heyer after Georgette Heyer the British novelist of many regency romances
Your shawl is beautiful! I can’t wait to see your new cardigan design, it makes so much sense to design the things you love! For the colorway name my suggestion is Cathrine Marshall. Pink is such a feminine color and her books were primarily about women!
My suggestion for your pink yarn is Barbara Cartland. She wrote across a wide variety of genres but is mostly associated with romance, but she was very strong and independent kn contrast to her heroines and she was known as much for her extravagant appearance and pink dresses as for her writing. And if you ever need a female author for purple yarn, Alice Walker would be a good choice. She won a Pulitzer Prize for her novel The Colour Purple. She was the first African American to win the Pulitzer Prize for fiction.
Oh my goodness your bunny and the sweet little house! Also your shawl is absolutely stunning!
When will Dumas be in your shop? 😊
@@heatherhopkins74 as soon as I'm feeling a little better I'll be able to take photos and get it listed. Hopefully within the next week.
@ Sorry you’re not feeling well!
Jan Mitford, for the pink? Debbie Macomber? I know they are more current authors but that’s what came to mind
Emily, your shawl looks amazing! I have yet to knit a Stephen West shawl. You have inspired me! I hope you and your toe is feeling better ❤
Yarn name: Beatrix, as I Beatrix Potter
Loved your Podcast !! The bunny is such a special gift 💝 I think Alcott would be a lovely name for your yarn color, after the writer “Louisa May Alcott”🩷
Margaret Mitchell is one of my favorite authors. Pink may not have been her color, but I know another Margaret who writes and she is a lover of all things pink.
Your shawl is so beautiful. It is such calming colours and reminds me of being a little girl relaxing and reading the book series Christy and later watching the series. The blue reminds me of the beautiful sky in the TV series. The author’s name is Catherine Marshall so either Catherine or Marshall would be a great name.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your MKAL shawl! Mary Shelly and Toni Morrison would be great names for that pink colorway. I hope you get feeling better soon.
