*Thanks for the feed back.* We have just been on the laptop googling it and it looks like you are correct. Our rig is actually called a twin or double hook snell rig. It looks like the gang hooks are hook to hook (no line between them) . There is always something to learn in fishing !

All the people saying they don't keep flat head over 45 cm are the same people that are jealous that they didn't catch it, and how do they know that the bigger ones don't taste as good when they release them, sounds like the the grapes are to high so their sour. u​@@fishingsister

@@tonyallen8626 Clearly you mean me. I tried larger flathead, didn't enjoy them as much as the smaller ones, so set my own personal limit at 45cms for eating and let all the larger breeders go. My choice, not a requirement and yes I have caught numerous fish over 70cms. Why so agro?

55 is fine for keeping for a feed

Totally agree, I only take legal to 45cm to eat. They get pretty coarse in the bigger sizes anyway.

​@@captainfrank01 legal size flat head (36cm) are way too small, I believe there should be a slot limit between 46cm to 56 cm

@@tonyallen8626 Yes, a slot limit would probably be a good idea for many species, including flathead. Btw legal size is actually 30cms.

Sounds like a great trip coming up! From the areas we saw there's not many driving on beach spots to camp and fish. My picks would be Tractor's Beach and Sheringa Beach because they are on the beach front. Check out our videos of those places. You need to be set up for offgrid camping though. Make sure you fish Back Beach if you haven't already but be mindful to go to the right spot because a lot of it is unmissable. I always love talking about our time up there Michael so just ask if you want more detailed info 👍

Yes can't remember now, but I think my rod was one of those small telescopic ones which aren't right for that kind of fishing lol.
