I like this theory except for Sandor beeing there. I don't think we need this. Sandor has his "peace" allready, his story is finished. For the High Sparrow to pull him out of his ass doesn't seem fitting. I am all for Hasty and Lancel though, they fit really well and the trial by seven as a whole too. The leader of the Warrior's sons is certainly possible. Nymeria has to find out about Clegane first for her participation to make sense. And even then, would the High Sparrow allow a woman to fight in this holy duell? Im not sure. The Sparrow's side seems pretty weak like this but here is my suggestion for a fighter: Loras Tyrell, healthy and well. This would anger Cersei mightily and bring another King's guard in the ring, mirroring the duell in The Hedge Knight, where KG fough KG. And on that note: How about not all Kettleblack fighting for one side? Maybe The Sparrow convinces one and Cersei another. Then we have the brother fighting brother in there too, without Sandor to get involved.

I honestly don't think the High Septon exactly *wants* to win the trial. He wants the show of it, to show no one is above scrutiny. But if Cersei loses, it could be seen as the gods themselves being against Tommen too, since her losing = Tommen declared by the gods themselves to be an incest bastard, therefore lessening the HS's own power over the monarchy.

Have you ever considered that 👑 Aegon V may have sent Prince Maegor Brightflame to live on with his noble kin of House Dayne at Castle Starfall 🏯?!? There he could have a great life without the turmoil and tornent that befell Daemon Blackfyre who was raised at court in the Red Keep where disgruntled lords and knights whispered manipulations in his young trusting ears. He could be raised as a noble of House Dayne without any indication of his true identity as the heir and grandson of King Maekar Targaryen and Lady Dyanna Dayne - Targaryen. Of all the options you proposed I submit that placing the baby Prince Maegor into a security protocol as a Dayne via his grandmother's House would the most plausible and character consistent decision that King Aegon V could have made for the guardianship and well-being of his royal Targaryen nephew. Perhaps a remote royal residence in the Red Mountains of Dorne could be financed through the Targaryen royal treasury . . . High Hermitage!?! Did you know that the word "hermitage" translates to the disinherited?!? Sounds like a feasible theory to me and it fills out the mysterious background of the Darkstar ~ Ser Gerold Dayne if he was in fact the biological son of a 40 something or 30 something Maegor Brightflame born in 270 - 274 AC right!?! I launched a theory just last year on Quora.com after what I saw on aSoI&F WIKI as the official illustration of Prince Maekar (Brightflame) Targaryen for the first time. Based on the chronological data that GRRM has provided . . . the fully grown up Prince Maegor would be in his early 40's or late 30's when he fathered the newborn Gerold Dayne in 270 - 274 AC. As a general rule, daughters take after their dads. In this case, Gerold Dayne would have inherited the distinct Valyrian blood traits that ArchMaester Gyldayn highlights on page 374 of "Fire and Blood" . . . Purple eyes . . . Aquiline nose . . . Platinum hair as so possessed by Laenor Velaryon for context. The ONLY other character in all the books that has been so similarly described is the Darkstar ~ Ser Gerold Dayne. However thanks to this aforementioned illustration of the toddler Prince 🤴 Maegor Brightflame we can see that Gerold Dayne may have been blessed with those trio of Valyrian blood traits from a 30 something Prince Maegor. I have predominantly been of the opinion that Gerold Dayne never actually existed but was rather a false identity created in the aftermath of the fall of the Red Keep by the Targaryen loyalists of Dragonstone Castle 🏰 as her Grace 👑 Rhaella Targaryen was in utter despair over the slaughter of the Targaryen royal babies. A security protocol was created during the days and weeks that followed the murders of Princess Elia and her Targaryen royal babies. The 8.5 year old boy 👑 Viserys III was sent to shelter with his noble kin of House Dayne at Castle Starfall 🏯 and disguised as a boy page with dyed dark hair named Gerold Dayne who mysteriously had no father or mother nor sisters or brothers . . . just a cousin curiously enough without a definite bloodline to the Lords of the Tourantine. It has been my favorite aSoI&F 📚 theory that 👑 Viserys III is STILL alive under the false identity of the Knight of High Hermitage ~ Ser Gerold Dayne and the Viserys we met in GAME was a royal Targaryen decoy recruited by Targaryen loyalists from Dragonstone village. Now this Prince 🤴 Maegor Brightflame angle is plausible too as a secondary theory for the true identity of the mysterious Darkstar. What say you?!?

New theory: Aegon the Unlikely and Bloodraven knew about Aegons Prophecy (which is the real reason Bloodraven went to the Wall), so they recruited Aemon and baby Maegor as well in the North to discover a way to fend off the end of all life. Maegor as Mance would be perfect because all those Wildlings would be a massive army for the White Walkers.

Great video I think GRRM has been clearly having fun with secret identities it would be great if there was one we the audience were never in on like with. Maegor Brightflame, especially because he’d have a better claim than Aegon, Daenerys, or Jon. Imagine if he is the high sparrow or under the faith’s protection. It would give even more reason to why they want to prove Tommen to be a bastard-incest abomination. It would bring more conflict to the crownlands. The Mance theory is fun too.

Wasn’t there an old ranger at the night’s watch called Squire Dalbridge, so called because he once squired for an unknown king. Could it be possible that Maegor was kept around at court until a squiring age, until Aegon decided he was too dangerous to be there and so entrusted his nephew with his brother Aemon and make him join the black?

I don't know who told you that Blois was pronounced like Lois but they are wrong. It is indeed pronounced like you had assumed (at least in modern french). In older form of the language it was probably pronounced something like "Bloey" but I am no linguist so don't quote me on 12th century french pronounciation. Also I agree he definitely is Azor Ahai

Great theory, very original! Personally, I've always believed there will be multiple Azor Ahais, but for a different reason: The Last Hero had twelve companions. My theory is that all the different names for Azor Ahai, the Last Hero, the Prince That Was Promised maybe others are all pointing to how a group of 13 people will stop the Long Night. I haven't figured out who they will be though, besides the obvious ones (Jon, Dany, Stannis, etc).

I've always believed that multiple people would be Azor Ahai for one single reason: the Last Hero had a dozen companions. I'm 100% convinced that there will be 13 characters that will fit the Azor Ahai prophecy, but I don't know which ones yet.

The answer is likely boring and that is Maegor just grew up always exiled and just had a family. Valyrian looks are still in southern Essos so a baby growing up and just not caring about the throne and living a normal life is possible. And this still sets up Aegon to possibly be Maegor's grandson. Aegon's identities by liklihood go as follows: 1. Legitimate 2. A Brightflame (A cadet branch, but still legitimate, just not the son of Rhaegar) 3. A Blackfyre 4. A random peasant Honestly, the first two are easily the most entertaining possibilities. I know fans have latched onto the (f)Aegon theory to the point of delusion, but Aegon being legitimate or a Brightflame make the actual succession between him and Dany more interesting.

I think Marwyn is the only one that makes any sense. It would be pretty cool too, but I think it's more likely, as others have suggested, that originally George wanted to make young Griff (and most likely Varys) a Brightflame, and Maegor is just a surviving seed planted for that possible storyline. But then at some point while writing Dunk & Egg he came up with the Blackfyres & went with them instead Leaving poor baby Maegor as nothing more than an interesting piece of trivia for us freaks to theorycraft with until (if) 'Winds' ever comes out 😅
