Hello , can you help me please, it’s not allowing me to paint farmland , it’s showing me farmland’s colours but it’s not allowing me to paint
Check your console for errors. Fix if any.
Not sure what my problem is. but the log file says error loading the farmland file. what am i doing wrong?
check your directory to the farmland info layer in the farmland.xml as well as make sure your map.xml has the correct directory to your maps farmland.xml

Hi Farmer Bob. Net gou n regstelling - ons verbou wel rys in Suid Afrika veral met water uit die Pongolapoort dam in die Noorde van KZN. Als onder pivot besproeiing. Ook op n klein skaal in die Vrystaat en Limpopo. Die flooding van ryslande is niks nuut nie aangesien daar reeds Brazilian maps was wat ryslande ingesluit het wat jy kon flood. Ja sover is ek nie baie beindruk met die nuwe FS25 nie. Gelukkig is julle modders daar om nuwe idees in die game in te bring sodat ons dit kan geniet - Dont let us down please😁🚜🇿🇦🚜
Right there with you Bob. Excited, not excited. Anxious to see engine V10. Hopefully they've made a dark mode and bumped up the versatility of the engine.

Yeah man, I’m with you. I’m still in shock. They spent 3 years on 1 new mechanic (rice fields), that maybe can be used for cranberries later, but that’s about it. A game that has modding, I don’t have to tell you, is all about what kind of functionality they can include and provide access to modders. They’re saying no built-in gps, which was the most requested feature, and essentially have a mod team (courseplay) that they can’t match the programming skill of clearly. Rumor is one of the maps is Zeilonka, so just recycling there. Looks like they might be including swathing. They are taking precision farming away, and haven’t discussed continuing with JD on that; I don’t know why they need JD’s permission but that’s what they said. That fog is to save some fps on distance rendering. I’m pretty disappointed and sad for the future of a game I fell in love with.
Lets hope there is more to reveal.. as this was a teaser.. a sad one at best.. but a teaser.. hehehehehe
The teaser was kinda meh. They better have integrated stubble destruction like the modders have in fs22.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Bob. I'm not too excited by what I see so far, hopefully there will be some good gameplay reveals at FarmCon. As much as I like eating rice, I don't want to grow it. Perhaps Giants will attract more gamers from the Asian market? I just hope we are going to see great and timely support for mods and modders, they make the game for me, the base game is just a scaffold for them to build upon. 🙂👍

I agree it is definitely new and different, but is that enough. It is a nice addition to the game for sure. 😅
If they don't have a new engine and terrain deformation, better AI, many bugs fixed and a lot of other things players have wanted for years, then FS22 will be my last Farm sim. Their PS2 era graphics are laughable now with what games are doing.
As i said in the video, the development is slow, but if you look at how the game has grown in 10 years, it is actually awesome. 😊

I like the idea of rice but let’s see what happens. Would love a map of terraces like in Vietnam or Thailand where they farm mountains. The new equipment should be interesting. But will wait and see before doing the leap to new version

You have a typo in your moddesc. Or you pasted something in there that is wrong. Revert to a backup or replace with a working one or build a new moddesc. 🤔

Indicates a problem with your .png or you have the original still in the map, or you didn't rename the gdm line in the map.i3d..

Convert densityMap_ground.gdm to PNG with GRLE converter, delete original from map folder. 2. Copy $&data/maps/mapUS/fieldGround.xml to map folder 3. Edit i3D with text editor 4.1. Change densityMap_ground.gdm to .png 4.2 adjust the numbers for the channels under the "terrainDetail" DetailLayer. also make sure you edited the correct dinsity line, not the terrain height but rather: <DetailLayer name="terrainDetail"
@FarmerBoBonTH-cam yes checked that when I converted it said in the conversation that there were 10 channels after converting to png and thats the error could it be an issue with the original file
Works using Affinity Photo with the Gray 8/perceptual profile.

I really like the old version of Mission of Mars better do not update the mission of Mars for consuls. I like the old mission of Mars better on consuls than the new version and I do not mind and I do not know how to mind so do not send that second version of mission of Mars to consul and leave the old version of the continent alone I like the old version better so no I do not want the update to mission to Mars because I’ve got it the way I want it. I like the better now so only put the new version of mission of only for PCs Only

all good Mat.. it is not something i send out, it gets uploaded to modhub, so when you see the update to Mars, do not update your map.. keep the old version and all will be well.. also make a backup of your savegame.. incase :)
I really don’t want that update. I like the old the first version of it because I’ve got the first version the way I want it so just put that for just PC players on that new map and I really don’t want that map update. I do not do I do not do the mining.

I know it's probably wrong to ask here, but I don't know where to contact you, so I'm asking here. I simply want to make the downloaded bumpy map to flatten all area or a part of area and load it in game. The problem is that it won't load (stuck on the loading screen). The steps to flatten it are explained in the video, and the map is flattened in Gaint editor. However, I can't load the map in the game. I've been looking for the cause but haven't found it. it bother me for two weeks. as an amateur, I don't know which to choose (save, save as or export, export file with), or how to edit the XML after saving. Could you please release a video that explains the whole process?(open file to load it) If possible, a video on how to flatten the map? I'm not from an English-speaking country so I apologize for my poor English.

Do you have any videos on how to place roads using splines? There is a road kit (prefab) on Modhub, If I want to place these using splines is that possible?
Hi my friend.. yes you can place via spmine with the spline placement script.. but you can only place one road type tile ie. Straight 20m. It doesnt work well with bends although it is possible and uneven terrain is a pain.

If we are using default maps, will editing the files in the default installation directory affect the saved games or do we need to edit these two files in the saved game directory?
Hi there.. no we never edit ingame files, that will kill the game. This video is refering to changes in your own maps files, so normally we copy a basegame file to our map and edit its path in the map.xml or relevant place so we can edit it.. this gives us the ability to make changes to the files, not the base game maps.. but should you want to make any changes to a savegame file, that will be fine.. no problems.. 😊

the error i get is the following: PlaceableUtil.loadPlaceable can only load existing store items, no store item for xml filename i have directories pointing to file

Hi, little tips I found : If you upscale one weight.png file to your desired size and delete all the other one, you open your map.i3D, save when you close it, all the weight files are going to spawn again but in the size of the one file you left in the folder. This made me save a lot of time :) (sorry for my english if it's not clear)
if a texture only has 1 weight file is it still the same process
Hi there, fs17 had the one weight thing, and fs19 had the combined weight with other textures.. but 22 does not have that, i believe you can install a singke texture into the map by following the process in the video. But each texture need a weight, so if ur terain texture has 4 sets then you need 4 weights.

I cant recall but in the map.i3d for the alpine map there must be layers for riverstonebank. Check the file id.

Do you have a tutorial to make a custom food trigger im using a different building for ice cream selling. your tutorials are awesome
Oh exactly the same principle, bring the triggers over from any ingame sellpoint, edit the xml to what you want to sell there. Add it to the placeables.xml as well as storeitems
@@FarmerBoBonTH-cam I must’ve done something wrong because I’m not getting the triggers to show up in game. I edited the fill types in the XML and I added them to the map moddesc. It’s obviously something I’m missing. I’ll have to mess around with it some more.
I followed your video I got one building in game but functions don’t work so I tried a different building and I keep getting that store item error

Hello, I have a question about the hose system, does it need to be registered in each barn separately?
Not sure which hose system ur refering to?
The unload pipe of the pit is via trigger and always be connected to the pit, same with the cowbarn triggers, they all are in one xml and serves 1 cowbarn.
Never was so exicted about 💩
