Restoration of an old NATIONAL cassette recorder [ RQ 2211MA 80's Part 03]
Restoration of an old NATIONAL cassette recorder | RQ-2211MA 80's Part. 03
I received a mission from a friend to restore three Panasonic national brand cassette recorders. I made a series of three videos
1st Model: RQ-2222 MA Made in Brazil in early 802
2nd Model: RQ-2211 MA Made in Brazil in the early 80's
3rd Model: RQ-209 MS Made in Japan in the early 70's
In today's video I'm going to restore the RQ-2211MA Made in Brazil recorder made in 1985
=====
In this restoration I cleaned the entire mechanism, lubricated and replaced a missing component. A general cleaning of the cabinet will also be necessary.
After the whole restoration process it will work as a new cassette tape recorder again and I will return all three recorders to my friend.
=====
All the restorations I do in the canal are done very simply, but very carefully.
I hope you like this restoration, subscribe to the channel and turn on notifications.
Thank you very much.

    don't see why repainting old poor cover is better than to print new one on colored printer. The authencity has been already destroyed when you ve glued it on piece of paper and then added paints.

It had no IC and built-in microphone. We wound the 120 Volt transformer to the Hungarian 220 Volt. I loved that beautiful little tape recorder. Out of nostalgia, I bought a working RQ-309AS in 2022! @@Bredyrestorations they look great. I had the 6s back in the day but were stolen. I may look into some Dayton drivers to put in mine. I’m looking for a set of ts m4 to help complete the set. Those are rare and people that are selling them know it.

      @@aslmx1918 just get 4 inch pioneer foams to replace the old ones. Watch simply speakers tutorial on foam replacement. I was nervous at first but have done dozens of speakers now. It's easy and cheap. And keeps the speakers sounding original.

    Awesome videos !! Thank you for sharing !! How do you open the white/grey ribbon cable connectors to release the tension so the cable can be pulled out ? They seem to have a locking clip on each side. You make it look so easy but I can't get my ribbon cables out at all. Thanks !!!

      Thank you for your comment and welcome to Bredy Restorations. As for the connectors, you press the low connector and it releases the cables. Hope this helps. 😎✌️

    My father bought a cassette recorder (Panasonic RQ-209 MS) at 1979, and I keep it until end of 1990s.
