I wish they brought back the Atlanta Thrashers jersey. My mother ordered me a custom one a long time ago and sure as hell, they folded and were sent back to Winnipeg. Nothing against Winnipeg at all, but I really wanted that jersey!

One good logo (not a fan of the name though) - Boston Fleet. Ottawa's is absolutely AWFUL. The rest are all very 'meh'.

I dunno...They're not great. Looks like a graphic design class final exam.

I thought it was smart to take their time on the branding, that being said the names and logo are a massive disappointment. The Fleet is the best of them all, and the rest are bad.

I think everyone's sleeping on the Montreal design! To me it is by far the most CLASSIC logo and name; if you told me it was based on a women's team from 1921, I'd believe you. I can't really say that any of the other logos, except I suppose the Toronto Sceptres to a much lesser degree. The Art Deco font of 'Victoire" reminds me of WW1 posters, service medals and monuments, like Canada's Vimy Ridge Memorial.The Boston Fleet is my second favourite and has real potential. But the rest are silly, forgettable and uninspired designs/names.

A better Ottawa logo would have been a roundle with a red circle for an O and a yellow semi circle inside the O for a C and maybe throw in a lighting bolt in the center.

Didn't I see Toronto's logo on an ambulance?

If the F had one fewer point on it (eg blend the bottom 2 into 1) then the underside of the logo would have formed an M.... also if it were enclosed with a gap outline the "m" would have been more obvious. Oh well a missed opportunity.

Thanks for sharing these ! I love the Fleet the best based on the Binghamton Whalers logo-love the colors.. The Frost has the sharp letters like the Timberwolves but otherwise very dull. Montreal's logo looks like an airline napkin from the 1980s. As someone who lives in NYC, the NY Sirens concept really sucks. What an epic fail. The illegible NY is mashed into some terrible lettering. The S doesn't look like it is vibrating. This looks like someone forgot to turn off some layers in Illustrator before they exported a .png. Dreadful The Ottawa Charge is pretty lame and is derivative of the NBA G League Cleveland Charge. The Sceptres is pretty septic.

Being someone from Ottawa I am embarrassed by this team's branding.

NHL introduced cool marketable names GOLDEN KNIGHTS, KRAKEN, and probably YETIS… PWHL names are so corporate sounding.. I wish they were more fun for the kids!

Fleet reminds me of Fleet Bank, the original sponsor of TD Garden. That logo is absolutely riffing on the Whalers. The green isn’t accidental. But Boston was the home of the original Whalers. As a graphic designer, that Charge logo is something you show a client to get them to choose the one you want them to pick.

Just a few corrections/clarifications concerning the Hornets jersey. Hornets were the farm team of Toronto Maple Leafs from 1930s-1956 and Detroit Red Wings during the Civic Arena years (1961-67); Hornets won the Calder Cup three times, 1952. 1955 and 1967. The parent Red Wings folded the Hornets after the 1967 playoffs to make way for the expansion Penguins in 1967-68; The jersey you guys are wearing was the Hornets' home sweater from 1961-64; Hornets wore a powder blue and gold sweater on the road from 1961-63 and a hand-me-down Detroit Red Wings white durene jersey with an entirely different Hornets logo on the road in 1963-64. Your jersey, and the blue road sweater, were wool with durene numbers made by Gerry Cosby, a well-known New York City sporting goods store and maker of hockey sweaters for many NHL and minor league teams in the 1950s -60s and 70s. The Hornet captains did wear the familiar C on the jersey you're wearing. Journeyman Bo Elik was the captain in 1961-62; Al Johnson in 1962-63 and Hank Ciesla in 1963-64. The shoelace on the front neck is correct. This was a feature on most hockey jerseys of this era; The pattern of 6 stars on the sleeves is slightly off. The correct pattern, starting on the yoke near the neck, was one star, followed by two stars (side-by-side) and three more stars in a single line down the sleeve to the wrist. The logo on the front is largely correct, but like the stars is much too large. As far as the numbers: the last players to wear #20 were: player/coach Vic Stasiuk, Terry Gray, Val Fonteyne and Ray Cullen; the last four players to wear #14: Art Stratton (an original Penguin and a first team AHL All-Star for Hornets in 1963-64), Lowell MacDonald, Murray Hall and Craig Cameron. I recall Beckley Smith was the announcer for the Hornets during the Civic Arena years and the Penguins into the 1980s. His day job was that of a Gulf Oil statistician. Great voice, very professional.

Golden Knights is miles better. The Wild jersey looks so lazy.

I’ve seen a bunch of jerseys online where they had the heat press on too high of a temp and like discolor the polyester fabric. Do you just run a low enough temp to get the glue to tack down and serge the edges or is there a sweet spot

I do like the Blues third jersey, but yeah - Lady Liberty clearly wins this one for me.....

Honourable mention to Florida's original 3rd jersey

Both are great picks, hard to choose. I think I’m gonna choose St Louis only because it the alt and the H/A set fit the theme of the Blues being a classic team. I think the deviation between St Louis alt and the main set is much smaller than the Liberty jersey and the Rags main set.

Another great video! I loved the ridiculousness of that big styrofoam box being in the foreground for the first 4-minutes and you both trying to peak over the top of it. Total Pythonesque absurdity!

I mean all three Vegas jerseys are the same jersey with the colors moved around, so I think it’s pretty complimentary, albeit kinda boring.

The Blues and Lady Liberty are good, I think Lady Liberty is a fantastic third, shouldn't replace the home and away. A lot of people are fighting for the Blues to switch back to the bright blue. But, I think Blasty blows em both out. Especially when the Flames are in the Red Yellow and White. It adds a colour that fits perfect.

I think my pick would have to be the current sharks alternate. With the bright teal of the home and away, the black sets a tone within that jersey lineup, but thats just my opinion.
