What's cool/weird about this nova prime figure is despite being supposedly the IDW one that did all the weird space supremacy stuff he's actually based on the one from the g1 cartoon themed beat em up game "transformers devastation" where he was a guy basically bringing their tech to uninhabited worlds so they could help nearby people or whatever but then went crazy after being corrupted by unicron and falling into a coma. Cliffhanger/sequel hook of the game had him waking up with spooky glowing red eyes but then the license ran out before they could make the second game so we never got to fight him. Confusingly enough nemesis prime is actually in devastation but as dlc as a playable optimus clone like he usually is. So not the same guy. There's actually like 7 or 8 different guys called "nemesis prime"in transformers lore if I'm remembering this right and they all just look like the same guy which is optimus but black. Save for the universe one that's the mammoth guy visually and a doomed timeline optimus prime revived via cloning so unicron can keep torturing him or something.

Actually, Nova doesn’t become the Optimus Clone Nemesis Prime. He literally just looks like how he normally does, but with a sinister purple aura. Personally not a fan of how IDW just slapped Nemesis Prime’s name onto Nova.

I actually got one of these guys on eBay a couple weeks ago. It was like 100 bucks but honestly worth it for this evil freak

The idw nova prime becoming nemesis prime was just Optimus calling him nemesis I believe. The Nemesis Prime character we know has its roots in armada as a failed clone of Optimus... Or was he some accumulation of unicron.... Stuff?

Not gonna lie i don't like the leg extensions. He looks way too lanky in my opinion. The failed clone of Optimus you're thinking of is Toxitron not Nemesis

The wiki part you read was specifically idw continuity for nova/ nemesis. Nemesis had different origins in different universes 😵‍💫

I actually like all the "space racist" stuff of Nova Prime because he has Warhammer 40k vibes all over in his design, making him even more WH40k-ish

I personally ordered a few.. more upgrade kits for mine. Fillers for Siege Magnus (from Dr Wu (yeah, I know that some parts will be useless)), DNA's magnus leg upgrade (because I don't really like these one piece thigh extenders), fillers for GU Prime's guns (just to have some more usefull fire power) and the same armor upgrade kit. Still waiting for DNA's kit release.

I normally don't hold onto Transformers’ packaging, but like I can't bring myself to recycle Nova's box - It's so nice! (Also, nice to see you back so soon!)

Longer legs on robots making them cooler, I call it "the gundam affect" because they're like 2/3 legs and 1/3 torso in height and literally every gundam looks cool because of it
