Back of the car is supposed to be " louvers" witch were a popular option to getting tint in the 70/80s . Kind of like a bunch of little sun visors on the back window to keep the heat out
The first Transformer that I ever got as a child back in '84/85. The others prior had been Gobots so I've always had a big soft spot for him so it was crushing seeing that he had died in the 86 movie (And alongside Wheeljack who was even more soul crushing - and we hadn't gotten to Prime yet!).
DennyLewis is correct. These "louvers" were commonly seen on hatchback sports cars of the time. Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs and even on the cheaper wannabe sports cars like the Escort GT and Dodge Charger. You could see just fine out of the review mirror. I had one on my '88 Escort. In addition to some shade, it also provided a measure of privacy. These hatchbacks typically had a large rear window, and without tint or a louver, anybody walking past your parked car could see EVERYTHING you had in the back of your car!
I remember I had like a re-issue of the G1 one that was also a keychain, I was like 8 so I was very confused about how he fits with the live action movies, as that was all I knew transformers from at the time
I had Windy as a kid so soft spot for sure. I think the RTS is the best mainline one so far. Someone made a hybrid of RTS and POTP (with top of PotP and legs of RTS) and it’s pretty rad.
My brother got a g1 wind charger and other g1 characters such as a decent condition jetfire despite not liking transformers, and i have been trying to buy some off of him.
I don’t understand how people can spend the money on these extra small figs. I understand they look cool and the transformation is good but over $50 for a core class fig is not ideal. Just my opinion. I love your vids by the way.
Important Windcharger lore:
-he has magnet arms
-he wore a big lab coat one time
I think that's all
Oh yeah, and you see his dead body in the movie I guess. RIP
Nice! Great important lore bits, also big rip

Windcharger, hell yeah. G1 Windcharger was my very first TF figure, so he holds a special place in my heart.

Wind charger was the first transformer I owned, 1986 I guess, from new his legs fell off. They could be slid back in so not a huge problem.
Was never a fave, but a swell group of fellas
I have the G1 and Power of the Primes Windcharger. That's all of 'em I got.
Nice
Why Earthrise Cliffjumper's altmod looks suspiciously alike with Windcharger's one? Hm.
Ah yes robot magneto
