How To Tune Your E-Bike Motor (And Why You Should!)
มุมมอง 81514 วันที่ผ่านมา
Most cyclists wouldn't dream of taking a maiden voyage on their new bike with adjusting things like tire pressure, saddle height, or pedal choice; but I'd be willing to be that these same riders have never taken the time to tune their e-bike's motor to fit their needs. If that's you, don't worry, because in this video we look three performance characteristics that are adjustable on just about e...

I have a 27.5 s giant talon 2 and I’m looking to upgrade my fork. What would be a good upgrade for it
Thanks for the video, I want to know if there's a rule of thumb to determine if the bike is an endurance, like a ratio or other sorts of calculations. I'm a newbie here 🙋
Dont say "any budget" when there isnt even a sub 1k option. Which kind of college student can be comfortable spending 1600$ for a bike or does low budget not fall under "any budget" anymore? You could buy 8 regular bikes at the price of a "budget" trail bike. Ridiculous.
Ibis Ripmooooooo
The original brand name was better. Fezzari
Team Revel Rascal! ( and by that I mean team buying the Rascal V1 after V2 dropped) 😅
I still don't like the looks of 29"ers.
Awesome as a commuter bike.
almost got a heart attack when i didn't hear Canyon but it was at the end :)
I do something that's probably a bit silly with my bike. I have the Trek EXe as well, and I tune the Eco mode really low. I've been riding for 25 years and the whole reason I got an e-bike was due to a back injury I got in the last couple of years. On my trail bike, I was only able to ride 20-30 mins before my back injury started screaming at me. On the e-bike, I can ride for a couple of hours before this happens. So, what I decided to do was tune Eco mode down to something that resembles how it felt to ride a very light weight XC bike. I do this so I can keep my legs and cardio somewhat strong. I found that when I first got the bike and rode in Mid mode, I lost some of my fitness over time. I keep playing with these settings to see if I can make it feel more "normal" but right now I have Eco at 78W Power, 40% Assist. I tried doing something like 300W power at 25% Assist, but on flats, the bike did too much of the work for me. I ride in this setting until my back starts to feel fatigued or angry and then I bump up to Mid, which is tuned at 195W and 95% assist. Riding in Mid is a lot of fun and takes a lot of the stress off of my lower back on steep climbs. Then I have High set at absolute Max. I have honestly only ever used High a few times since I have owned the bike, and it's usually when I'm overly fatigued throughout my entire body, and I need to get up that really steep technical climb to make it back home. Sometimes my back isn't experiencing as much pain, and I can ride in Eco the entire trip. This allows me to only burn 20% of my battery on a 1.5 hour ride. So, on a really good day, I can get ~5 hours of ride time. When I throw Mid into my rides more, I get around 3-4 hours of ride time. This allows me to get a lot of great heart pounding exercise in. When I need it, I'll bump up assist with Mid mode and finish out the ride. Either way, I can stay on the trails as long as I used to now, and that's what made me excited about this e-bike.
Hey is sora drop shifter compatible with cues 9 speed check that pls.
Bike got name so long they shortened it with 9X
Im 5,9 on a 24 inch wheel bike, i bang my knees on the suspention(its downhill stile) so i think that uts not too big for me
Number 1 costing JUST the price of every bike i ever owned, COMBINED
Gravel bikes suck
What about Cannondale supersix evo?
I have a 2023 Canyon Stoic 3 and love it!
Ahh yes a rebranded Fezzari
I feel like the specialized fuse would be a better comparison
The m8130 Shifter doesn't provide shifting up twice per push. I think they did this because for additional durability. The advantage from it is the instant release and the rubber on the downshifting lever. It also can only downshift twice per push.
Heck out the bmc twostroke 20” it’s in the 18.xx lbs has tektro hydraulic disc brakes and the Sdg kids bars grips and seat. Also comes with an x4 shifter. It can be found on sale for $499 too
Yeti to the trails
This is a good list. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!!
Thanks for the review I bought this cuz of your info.
Oh that’s awesome! I think you’ll really enjoy it 🤙
Spot ryve, spot mayhem 130, or spot rocker depending on your location all great option

I don’t believe so 😕
Brother can the bike go 4 long cycling with 4 hr on the road do it need to charge if stop for refreshments
Yeah, if you’re in relatively flat terrain and leave it in the eco or maybe even mid mode you could probably get four hours!
I love that the video added other notable mentions for each categories. This is how all bike or any reviews should be done when the options are so many. Great job!
Glad you found that helpful, thanks for the kind words!
Best Budget; Bike great suspension and gear cassette, 27.5 tires, dual suspension, $1,500 DiamondBack Astroz 2
The elephant in the room that was left out of this review is the giant fathom 2 29.
Definitely an awesome bike as well!
non-proprietary headset setup is a con now? wow.
Haha depends on who you ask!
Big props for 2 water bottle mounts in a full suspension trail bike frame! You usually only find that in XC bikes.
Right?! Plus good dropper post insertion 👌
Pinarello X7 Ultegra Di2 Carbon Wheel Road Bike
Have the stoic 3, bitch slaps
Gary Fishers design the best .
I swear everyone in cycling is always yapping about how one meta is better than another and that's all it is. No one (individual) ever experiments (or at least gets taken seriously when doing so). It's all meta chasing.
cervelo s5, fast af and it climbs well
Sick bike!!
MVDP would win on a Cube Nuroad he's just that good
Fair 😂
Polygon siskiu t6 >>>>
Probably one of, if not the best sub $1,500 full suspension bikes on the market 👌👌
Ragley mmmbop Nice geo and sick looking 🤛
Sadly no longer in business 😪 But yes, I loved Ragleys!
@@99spokes have the mmmbop 2022. I still see their website tho. Is that temporary? :/ I hoped they would survive the purge.
Which one is the fastest in the city?
No fucking way man.
Whyte T-130 SCR. I love it!!!
Nah the stumpjumper alloy comp is GOATED. Its almost always on sale for 2.8, I go downhill biking with it and hit insane jump and bottom it out a lot and it always holds
Spec on that guy is pretty rough for what you’re paying, IMHO 😬
Who the guy there giving it too??
Haha I don’t think it’s being given away, unless you know something I don’t!
Where‘s the the Canyon Aeroad CF SL 8? That bike is a particular good bike… Aero and Ultegra
We went with the ultimate instead, a bit more well rounded, but the Aeroad sure is sick!
what about the Cube litening air?
Definitely a great bike!
do not agree. not enough parameters taken into account. but well, its youtube, we can not get the best here.
What parameters would you have looked at?
You DO understand that is HIS opinion, not yours. Do your own video then. Damn, dude.
