You Have No Idea How Good Bilal Coulibaly Can Be…
Bilal Coulibaly was somewhat overshadowed as a prospect during the draft process. Which was expected when he’s on a team with one of the greatest prospects in basketball history. In fact many believed he would be a 2024 NBA draft guy, instead of a 2023 draft guy. However towards the end of the draft cycle his name really started to pick up steam, due to his size, athleticism, defensive ability, and upside. Which eventually resulted in him being drafted 7th overall by the Indiana Pacers, who immediately traded him to the Washington Wizards.
While his rookie season didn’t stand out on paper, he showed a lot more, and looked ahead of schedule in his offensive development. And to start this season, he’s been incredible, and honestly if he did choose to declare for the 2024 draft, he probably would’ve been the first overall pick.
Coulibaly is the modern day wing. Good height, long arms, great athlete, elite lateral movement skills, high end defensive intangibles, and a growing offensive game.
While I struggle to call the Wizards a good team, they’ve been really fun to watch through these first few games, and Coulibaly is a big reason for that. In this video I want to talk about Bilal Coulibaly, and why he looks like the next great two way wing in the NBA.

My name is Noah Terranova. On this channel I make videos breaking down the film of basketball players in both long term and single game contexts. I use a combination of advanced stats, basic stats, tracking stats, and what I take away from watching the games to form my evalutions. My goal is to give my own perspective on the game with my own little twist on how I choose to present it.

There's No One In The NBA Like Ja Morant...
มุมมอง 2K22 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Ja Morant is one of my favorite players not only in the game today, but also one of my favorite players ever. He’s a bit of a throwback to the explosive primary guards like Russell Westbrook and John Wall that I grew up watching. And his game really stands out compared to his peers at the point guard position. In a league where there’s such a prominent emphasis on perimeter scoring, Ja is uniqu...

Zaccharie Risacher is one of the most under hyped first overall picks I’ve ever seen entering the NBA. Part of this is the fact it wasn’t a strong draft class, especially compared to the recent ones we’ve seen, and the excitement about upcoming draft classes as well. Another part of it is that Risacher wasn’t viewed that highly among draft analysts and fans alike, even in a class that’s perceiv...

If you are an Orlando Magic fan, you have to be ecstatic about Paolo Banchero. A rookie season that saw him average basically 20/7/4 and nearly win rookie of the year unanimously. We’ve Never Seen Anything Like Cooper Flagg.

Cooper Flagg has been hyped up as the next big time prospect for a few years now. Outside of Victor Wembanyama he’s the most hyped upcoming prospect of the 2020s. And while it’s still very early and we have to see how he plays at Duke. Coming out of high school, and entering his draft cycle year. Flagg is a type of prospect at 17 years old that the American game hasn’t seen since LeBron James. ...
The Genius Of The Rockets Drafting Reed Sheppard.
มุมมอง 4.8K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
When you watch Reed Sheppard it’s just easy to see a player that can be very good at the NBA level. His skill set is valuable in the modern NBA as a combo guard. He checks off a ton of boxes in terms of intangibles. And really it’s just hard to see him not having a long NBA career barring health. While I don’t think Sheppard is the highest ceiling prospect ever, I had no problems with him going...
Is Alex Sarr Good Enough To Be Franchise Player?
มุมมอง 4.2K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
In my opinion the Washington Wizards got the best prospect in the 2024 NBA draft at pick 2. When they selected French big man Alex Sarr. Sarr to me was the player that should’ve gone first overall. While this draft doesn’t have a clear cut superstar prospect. Sarr was the guy that made the most sense as a first overall pick, and has the most upside of any prospect in this class in my opinion. The Pistons Just Made One Thing Clear…

When the Detroit Pistons landed the 5th overall pick in the draft lottery (again) after having the worst record in the NBA (again), many viewed it as a disaster. Already in a weaker draft, they fell 4 spots in the lottery. However I think they actually made an incredible pick at 5th overall. Taking G-League Ignite wing Ron Holland. Holland was a decisive prospect in this class. At the beginning...
The NBA Will Regret Letting This Happen…

When the San Antonio Spurs took Rob Dillingham 8th overall I was excited. Mainly because Dillingham is a great guard to have next Victor Wembanyama. However his draft rights were traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for a 2030 pick swap, and 2031 first round pick. So while the Wemby/Dilly duo dream is dead, I am excited about Dillingham being in Minnesota. I think it’s a great situa...

As a rocket fan, I wanna see green mold his game closer to Ja’s.. I don’t think green will ever have the playmaking chops, but I think green would be even more dangerous if he developed a solid floater. I’ve seen it open the offense for so many players, if green had a good floater like Ja has or even his teammate FVV has. Just going off what he is doing right now (I’m sure his number will regulate at some point), he shoots 75% at the rim and shoots 40% on 3s, but green shoots 27% in that floater/mid range spot, but Ja shoots 45%, I think if green could get that floater down he could get that around 35-37% which will make his fg% much better and he’d probably be at 30 points average instead of 27 rn

I think players like Jalen need to model their game after what Jaylen Brown did in the 2024 playoffs. Limiting dribbles on reps, making reads, etc. JG never gonna be the physical monster JB is but he’s athletic enough to create with limited dribbles and play off ball.

Love Ivey, but I don't think it's realistic to think he can reach what Ja is as a playmaker. That's no disrespect to Ivey, he's been awesome to start this season, but Ja is one of the 5 best playmakers in the world imo.

    • @MrTonyJ
      @MrTonyJ 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

@ no Ivey is more of a combo guard, and as long as he is playing with Cade won’t need to develop that, but they are similar in terms of being dynamic and fast toward the basket.

Pure athleticism they are very similar in terms of burst/quickness/speed. I think Ivey is stronger, while Ja is more flexible and has better body control. But in terms of player they are very different. I think Ivey is actually more similar to a smaller version of Jaylen Brown tbh

Dude, we have never seen a player like this before is the most over used statement. Just like wembanyama, I will wait until he plays in the nba before I form my opinion. But just know this, just because he played good in a scrimmage against nba players and performed good, does not mean he will be able to dominate nba players on a regular basis. Let’s see how he performs in college because just because you dominate in high school don’t mean you can in college. Fans need to take this one step at a time with young prospects.

For a 19 years old he is rather well rounded techincally, and even phisically for a tall mobile 3, his basket IQ is pretty good. He has a wide range of offensive moves, and has a positive attitude of driving to the basket. A few games is a bit early to make assessment, especially as he has played only limited time.
