Great videos--we're all so glad you're suddenly back--but regarding mouthpiece material, I can definitely hear the difference between my silver-plated brass and my Lexan plastic mouthpieces. They are trombone mouthpieces, by the way. Perhaps that difference is more audible playing down in the bass clef staff region?

Recuerdo lo primero que escuché, aquellos podcast, de hace unos 8 ó 10 años, con Roberto Falcone, en lo que llamaron Ensemble Authentia. What a lovely Chanel you have! I just love the Cornetto and have always wanted to make one . I believe of all the instruments I make this will be the one I can actually play . By the way as I write this Hugh Ashton's masquerade has begun to play on my smart TV. You two are really cool chicks. As I was watching this treat I started thinking to myself it feels like my birthday because of all the nice things my eyes and ears are experiencing. Good luck and best wishes from Georgia USA.

I've watched 3 of these 'podcasts' and learned almost nothing: the mouthpiece is small, made of various materials, are important, and individualized. Other than that repetitious material a lot of short images and short musical snapshots.

Beautiful video. The only defect is that it was too short! :) BTW, a question: there are both curved and straight cornetti. Is there any difference in sound between the two? Is one design more suitable for beginners than the other? Thanks!

I have a question: if the two halves of the cornetto were just glued together (with today's glue) and not covered by leather, would it sound the same? Oh and I have another question: does there exist a 20th or even 21st Century repertoir for cornetto? (considering that such a repertoir exists for harpsichord and even for recorder, it would be less surprising than it sounds)
