Home of the FaithDome: Crenshaw Christian Center History in South LA | Frederick K. C. Price and CCC
The Crenshaw Christian Center campus and the 103,000-square-foot FaithDome sit on the edge of the Vermont Knolls neighborhood in South LA. The 32-acre Crenshaw Christian Center campus is lush, tranquil, and manicured, and is adorned by a handful of original Art Deco-style buildings that still capture the ambience of the former mid-century urban college campus. Today, these buildings house administrative offices for Crenshaw Christian Center and its Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools that has just over 300 students.
But how did Crenshaw Christian Center make a former college campus the home of the FaithDome? And what does the future hold in store for Crenshaw Christian Center in South LA?
To answer these questions, we first need to understand the story behind the founder of Crenshaw Christian Center (CCC), Frederick K.C. Price. This documentary highlights the incredible journey of Frederick K.C. Price, as told by his family--Dr. Betty R. Price, Pastor Frederick K. Price, and Angela Evans-- along key moments in archival footage of Crenshaw Christian Cent.

Wrigley Field was used in various tv shows including Homerun Derby in 1960, The Twilight Zone, The Munsters, along with several movies. Also, the city used eminent domain to kick out hundreds of residents ( mostly Latinos) from Chavez Ravine. This is why many older residents resented the Dodgers.

This was well produced. May God continue His work.
As a native Angelino I enjoyed your history of the 110 Freeway. Look at the terminal end of the freeway. It's all about the "Harbor" and the transportation of goods. Could you please find out the history and name for "Colden Avenue? "I had set out to do research on why the streets are numbered and all of the sudden you have Colden Avenue. But now I have you to do the leg work. Thanks
Didn’t really capture the true essence of what Crenshaw high school is. I was born, raised and grew up blocks from the school, Crenshaw Pride is real, one of the most iconic High Schools in the country, it’s talked about and depicted in every movie and t.v. show that’s ever represented a Black community in LA, there’s so much more to “The Shaw” than this segment revealed, I never felt unsafe while attending the school in the 70’s, will be a proud Shaw Dawg for life.
It’s time for an update video? Progress
Not sure if you have done something on Kim's restaurant, in the same complex as Tak's? The best kept secret for authentic Chinese/Cantonese food around!
I was born here in 1971! I remember some bad stories about this place.
Amazing video! I was born there in 1967, on my birth certificate states South Hoover Hospital.
My dad took me to see a baseball game back then, don't remember who but I remember wrigley field.

Excellent presentation… as a former member of CCC I am grateful for the legacy of Apostle Price and the opportunity for me and my family to experience and be a part of that “Walk of Faith”
Great video!
Dr. Fred Price and his ministry have meant so much to me. I attended his pastor's conference back in 1985. It helped me launch our ministry on a firm and integral foundation. I've always been blessed by the faith and practicality of his ministry. And I see that continues under his son.
We had one here in Palm Springs but it closed years ago. I miss that place. Loved their food and atmosphere. Thanks for the video. Well done.
A Minister of Satan Price's whole family
This video is a great introduction to the understanding of RED LINING and land acquisitioning done here in the 40's and 50's causing cross town segregated neighborhoods and totally decimating those of color slated as less desirable areas. These freeways where a developmental displacement initiative aimed at creating far more than change and use of space.
Red lining via freeway construction. Same w building Dodger Stadium.
I am trying to find out why Los Angeles County orients itself the way it does. They say east is north and I don't get it. The Valley is not north of the ocean. It is east of the ocean. Downtown LA is not south of Hollywood, it is east. The ocean is east. north is northern California, north is the north 101. Can anyone explain?
Not purple and white, PURPLE AND GRAY
Everything in our family changed when my mom started watching Dr. Price, forever grateful for his ministry.
Yeah rite! Fred Price was a bigot, hypocrite, money-loving, and worker of iniquity. That is why he died before the rapture. No elect person will die before the rapture occurs. But the Almighty hated him (Ps.5:5.) and branded him as a scatter. He was more of an actor than anything. And by calling himself a Christian is the same as a tare. they are the many that fool many. The fool had ulcers worrying about money! He wouldn't have known what faith was if you served to him in the cup. Nobody liked him the Lord first was sending to him. If it was not for his wife who has double favor (and will be raptured) His son is even worse than he was. His son (a real fool) is a total idiot the Lord rejects and they still put him up. They never have eternal life nor do they deserve it. But hey don't care they are all of this world! (workers of iniquity) Trust no man - Jerm.17:5.9:23,24.
The original Fatburger location was also featured in the 1975 movie DOLEMITE, where Creeper, the local neighborhood junkie hangs out. “We don’t sell French fries here!”

Does anyone know what the K C stands for in his name?
By the way great video.
Sad part about it is, all the apartments going up and none of the blacks folks such myself can't afford to live there. 😡 I guess thay want there money back as soon as possible ,so I would think Caucasian folks will be able to afford the rent so thay will get there money back sooner than later.
This is where my entire family was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost This will always be my Church Beginning in the Faith Happy🎉🎉🎉🎉 Birthday Mother Price

The 110 has become a FasTrak scam. Waiting for a couple lawyers to personally be affected and sue the sh%t out of LA.
It's not that good
Went to fatburger 1 time seen the prices walked out never been since never will at this point haha that was like 5 years ago too
Why should it be cheap? its a premium product, worth every cent
This is my High School. 89 the best....
When I lived in LA in the late 1980s my girlfriend attended CCC and I went a few times and said Fred Price looks like Richard Pryor. Saw Elgin Baylor there.
Both Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris each hit a home there in 1961 into the adjoining South LA neighborhood
Did I miss it or was the fact Home Run Derby was held here omitted?
Frederick Price great man of GOD.
The slow spiritual acceptance of the single mother headed household in the "Black" Church. The black family is almost destitute. Therefore the black church is suffering.😢
Back in the Late 60's every two weeks My father would take me for my Haircut down the street and then FatBurger's at the Original Location...Great Memories. My usual...the Single Patty Cheese Egg Burger, Fries, Coke.
What is GOD SAYING, it's not You Jr. Do your best.
Memories.. I grew up in the Word of Faith movement… I love Fred Price he my favorite ministers RIH Fred
I know must people think that Charismatics are our brothers and sisters in Christ, but nothing could be further from the truth! Once I saw Kenneth Hagin's name and Kathryn Khulman, I knew Fred KC Price was a lost man. The health and wealth gospel is from the lower pit of hell. It's a human message about getting STUFF for one's self. It's all about getting, not giving. And of course how they trap innocent people into going to a burning and eternal hell with them, is by the sowing of a seed, which is mind manipulation to get the poorest people who are destitute and has only enough to barely survive on to give to the ministry as a seed sown. This doctrine is not only demonic, it sends those who are a part of it to hell. Yes, you go with who you follow. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice and a stranger they will not follow or answer" So true followers of Christ sometimes may not know exactly what is wrong with the message but because they are connected to Christ, they will know that something is not right with the messages false teachers preach. There is a way that seems right, but in the end is death. The False teachers teach that God is our servant, and we are deserving. The truth is we are only deserving of death and hell, when are at our absolute very best. I would not be surprised if Fred K.C. Price is in Sheol as you are reading this. God is no respector of person. He could care less how popular one man is, to Him, only one thing counts. Have you been born again? A born again person is lead by the Spirit of God. No possible way to get into erroneous doctrine. The bible says it in Matt 24:23 "Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. [24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." If it were possible means it is not possible. True followers are Christ are about striving for humility, realizing we are not worthy to get anything from God based on our own merit. Everything is by grace and mercy. We only deserve death and hell. There is nothing good in any human being, even after we are saved, we are still not worthy. So to preach such heresy is an an abomination to a holy and perfect God. I watched Fred Price on tv for a few years, he never really impressed me, and the one way you can tell a false teacher is never by just what they say. It's really by what they Do Not Say! They simply leave out, the gospel, and the whole counsel of the Word of God. It's about getting what you want, not about giving yourself totally to God who saved you.
Keep the faith when the glory of God really starts moving heavily it will be full again in the name of Jesus with hungry and thirsty people and they shall be f i l l e d
