Lake Hume When Big Brown Trout Attack! Downrigging And Planner Boards Early October 2024
Lake Hume is situated in North East Victoria Australia near the twin cities of Albury/Wodonga, The Murray River and the Mitta river both flow into lake Hume. Brown Trout make up a vast majority of the catch as far as trout are concerned, the lake also supports a very healthy population of Yellowbelly and a growing population of Murray Cod, the lake has a very large population of Redfin Perch which in turn fuels the monster Trout and Yellowbelly that lurk in its depths and if you catch a Murray Cod they are probably the fattest cod you will see anywhere so they would be eating their fair share of redfin as well i would imagine. In this video i fish the lake for Trout using downriggers, leadines and planner boards. It's mid way through the season and after about a month of not many reports of Trout being caught the week before this video was fimed has seen a significant increase in catch rates. In my videos i like to try to capture the whole fishing experience not just catching the fish themselves.

Awesome work sandy
Thanks Michael
Getting closer to the magic 10lb brown Camo, in the new generation maybe it should be 80cm+ class, the old measure was 10lb clean, so thankful now for catch and release..pete
Thanks so much Peter I'm learning all the time,I just got back from Eucumbene and gained a bit of experience, you learn a lot by trial and error and also by listening to what others have to say.I have got the bigger net happening now wider and a longer handle, it makes a lot of difference, it could be the difference between landing the fish or not, probably the main motivation for the bigger net is so a big fish can sit in it more nicely without jumping out while you get ready to take a photo before you release it, It's the Berkley Snapper net with the botom cut out and another net attached to make it twice as deep, the extra large Barra net was ridiculously big, the boat is not big enough for it! You just raised the bar by saying 10lb cleaned was the old magic mark.Just googled trout lose approximately 10% of weight after cleaning so that would be just under 11lb.
@akhector those 1% add up when a double arrives, especially solo - those Hume monsters really dictate terms. A longer net will help? 10% gut weight would be right, but in any measure a 10lb brown is special!! I was on my own when I landed my double(11'2oz - 80cm) and I had to let it circle the boat 5x before I got a shot as the wind kept drifting me just out of reach..no spot lock back then. The length measure has now superseded weight, as you'd release due to comps and catch release from AFC(1990's) We fished the Hume classic 2 weeks ago, biggest brown 56cm and golden 68cm. The live scoper's are at the forefront of modern fishing and creating some hype. They're setting the bar higher every year but adding to the education of best practise in technique and handling fish for better release survival. There is so much more respect now for trophy fish being a renewable resource and its helped with the sharing of info to help the whole tribe of us improve. Amazing how much on the water communication there was, no secret squirels any more due to new practises. It's ace😃👍We helped a block who was trolling all day for 0, change lures and get straight on to a 53cm golden for a ticket in draw. He came back around and thanked us. Nat caught 3 cod first up before our first golden - which was different, few more years Hume metres hey! I won a sponsorship shirt (XL), gave to Ray's big mate, no good for a whippet..hope Eucumbene was kind, we went 1st week of Oct, nat managed a $1000 tagged rainbow in 35km winds, 1 tangle, thete was 200 released Sept, green tags, anyway we'll catch up camo and keep focussed on that big double, it's a worthy club to be part of, trouti!
@akhector the photo was really good, that fish looked fat as, on your own too - love how set up you were, ready to go, like always camo - regards Pete and Nat thommo
@peterthompson230 Thanks Peter, yes there are so many 1% ers, so many little things you can do to improve your chances. You caught some good fish at the classic a respectable Brown and a massive Yellowbelly! Yes the livescope has completely changed the scene, it also shows fish behaviour never seen before and even if livescope was taken away people would still have the knowledge learned from it.35km/hr winds sounds hectic, wind is a constant problem at Eucumbene the still days are far and few between, We caught a few fish but you had to work for them nothing huge but several 50cms and a 57cm both me and the people I went up with caught a tagged rainbow both on the same day in a similar area I didn't know about what the tag was so I didn't get the required photos so I am kicking myself over that but the other people knew what is was and took the photos. That is what it is all about helping that bloke out to get him onto a yellowbelly great stuff it is very rewarding getting other people onto fish great for peoples mental health.I might see you around the traps at some stage.Got dodgers? They are not easy to get,I have seen some on ebay from China going to see what they are like, I had two leadline rods out at Eucumbene on Friday with 13gm tassies 1 with a dodger in front of it and one with no dodger caught 3 on the dodger rod and then put a dodger on both rods and caught another one they did have different colour tassies .
@@akhector camo, nat and I are steve starlo advocates, finesse approach. We stopped using leadline many years ago, never used dodgers at Euc, if you understand the lake you'll know why..(I'll explain 1 day in person). We did a 2 day run in June and 3 days in Oct, for 10 fish 9, 12, 12 and 14 browns(couple of monsters), basically a bag a day for 2 anglers using bare basic finesse rigs. It's really the accumulation of decades on the water, local knowledge and being with the right people that counts! Old Jonesy used to run cowbells 40 years ago...we keep it as easy as possible, starting a new job with 5 days training today so going dark for 8 weeks, off line until Euc xmas - so I can put my mind focus directly on work, tight lines regards trouti
Excellent fishing, no shops in Canberra had any dodgers to buy
@@Samuel-yd7po dodgers are extremely hard to come by, there is a shop in Wodonga that has limited supply at times.
Thanks Samuel yes the Dodgers are pretty hard to find, I got mine from a shop called Cappers Pro Tackle in Wodonga, he didn't have any left last time I checked about a week ago he said he may get them again at some stage maybe have a look if you happen to be passing through, just had a look and you can get them on Amazon, it is usually $9 for postage if it's your 1st order with Amazon it might be free delivery, I generally find Amazon is the best for getting stuff from the United States as it seems to negate the exorbitant postage costs normally associated with the United States. The beauty of the Dodgers is they can handle the faster trolling speeds required by Tassie Devil Lures, hope you can get hold of some 🤟
@@MrBeartheoriginaljust had a look on Amazon Australia and it looks like you can get them could be from China but they are pretty good at copying things, get on it Trevor😍
Update! I have found dodgers on ebay some from China for cheaper then the same ones in Australia for maybe twice as much just depends how quick you want them around $6 from China maybe $10 from Australia, you could wait 3-6weeks from China most of them free postage can't guarantee what they are like have ordered a few myself to see what they are like.
Awesome session legend! That fish was a monster! Great work. 👏👏
Thanks Andrew it's taken a while to finally break through with a fish like this
Haha I love your coffee cup, it suits you perfectly. Haha 😂😂 HOMIE....This was EPIC. I loved it. I laughed so much at a few of the scenes. Haha BRILLIANT.
Thanks Homie! The fish certainly had "the bigger look" 😂 I reckon I should of filmed the coffee cup sequence in 4k for the zoom in,somtimes you don't set out to do somthing you just see it when your editing and run with it!
Great Stuff Sandy, definitely getting more professional each and every video. That is certainly a fish of a lifetime and well deserved. I thought "holy shit that net, oh no", glad to hear you got a new net. I have seen enough of the frying pan, yabby, butterfly and other crappy nets 😂😂😂.
Thanks Trevor always looking for improvement it just occurred to me that i could of filmed some of the shorter sequences in 4k, can't do that for the whole thing because it has a lot of issues associated with it.You have seen the worst case scenarios play out with these frying pan nets more than once, it is somthing very close to your heart 🤣 hopefully this net will be ready for Eucumbene I have to modify the bracket it sits on as well to accommodate the extra size.
Awesome video really enjoyed it! new subscriber
Thanks heaps for the feedback and the subscribe Rocco!
haha wo - ho the fish are getting bigger! Cracking fish Sandy. Wonderful specimen indeed. Couple of tense moments when the big buck ran for it. 8lb leader held on and so did your nerve. Congrats- great viewing.
Thanks Michael yes the fish was a fair bit bigger than the first one!those tense moments have inspired me to get a bigger net which is wider across and importantly has a longer handle, I like a long leader but that can make it harder to net the fish I reckon in hindsight I should of just cut the electric completely when I went to net the fish, normally I keep the boat moving a little bit to keep the other line from sinking to the botom and snagging also the slider needs to be moving not to drop down and wrap around the main line. The fight was edited so it was longer than it appeared! It was caught right on the moonrise somthing I am starting to take notice of now.
Well done, Sandy. Wonderful fish, and it certainly gave a good account of itself. Glad I played a small role in helping you to achieve your PB trout!!🙂
Thanks Ross you played a role in catching that fish not just for showing me that the 26gram Tassie devils work but for demonstrating the use of the Alvey Trolling reels with leadline I bought those reels after seeing you use them in your videos, and I often wondered until now how you would handle a big fish on them because of them only having drag when you let go of the handles, I actually had the drag very loose and was feathering the reel a bit to control the drag pressure when the fish was running, so yes they can handle a big fish, love these reels, it is good how when you want to wind them in there is no slippage from the drag so you can crank them straight in quick.
@@akhector thanks mate. The Alvey's are such a simple and sturdy design. I'm still using one that first went into service more than 20 years ago, and has never been serviced. Such a pity that they are no longer being produced. Excellent video and I can't wait for the next one!
@FishtalkVideo thanks Ross, making these videos keeps your mind active that's for sure, so many possibilities! I reckon the noise of the clicker on the Alvey reel sounds pretty cool when the fish pull line out too! Yes you have to be lucky to find one of those reels these days, the other good thing about them is they were never all that expensive
Great Video Mate, keep up the good work
Thankyou it's a work in progress! Always looking for new angles
Great video mate some nice fish 👌👌
Thanks Michael I hope I can upgrade on the size before the end of the Lake Hume Trout season I have gone braid on that new downrigger that could make the difference, the steel cable makes a lot of noise!
Yep it does make bit noise you maybe right could the key when are a bit hesitant to hit the lure mate
Total chaos. Haha Love it. I love your videos. I see both your humour and your passion. Your editing is fantastic. Great work HOMIE..... Did you happen to capture the moment you broke your rod by any chance? 😂
Thanks Homie! I like the challenge of the editing, Movavi leaves Windows movie maker for dead ,it was a bit annoying when they made it so the cursor symbol that i used to use for pointing at somthing not free anymore they want you to pay for the effects package which is not cheap so that's why i had to use upside down icecream cones in a previous video, The 4:3 aspect ratio was a stuff up but at least you got 2.7k! It was a bit slow to work with that higher resolution.I don't think I have the footage of the rod breaking I am rocking the hindsight feature of the gopro that just saves 30 seconds before you press record so i don't think I pressed record in the dismay and disbelief of it all! I got another rod the same just the more updated version which has a better hook keeper.
Mate, love it… intro was awesome… really set the scene for the day. Loved the “surfy” music when it got rough and thanks so much for the plug. See you on the water soon.
Thanks Andrew I was happy with the way the lit up carport scene turned out, the lights are all sensor lights so they turn off by themselves. We are getting the carport extended to come out to be level with the house roof then a roller door Is coming down in front of the the carport and house(it's going above in a "coffin" so no height loss)the side is getting enclosed and the house side is going to be enclosed and have a door so the look of it is going to change dramatically, it is going to be something pretty radical and different that not too many people have got! The work is due to start next week
@@akhector mate, I can only imagine that it will be amazing
@@andrewsoutdoors1802 I am visualising it might be a little bit ostentatious!
Great work again Sandy, l see you are putting in a lot of time with the editing it is working well for you. The highlight for me was the big wave music when the waves chopped up really got a laugh out of that 😂.
Thanks Trevor I would of liked more of the big wave music but if you have too much of those songs it will get a copyright notice I did read you can get away with up to 8 seconds. You can be in big waves like that as long as you don't want to get anywhere in a hurry!
Nice episode Sandy, you handled the 'Tallangatta doctor' well. Great tactics employed as well with the downriggers, side plane gear and so on.
Thanks Michael the technology was handling the Tallangatta Doctor it would of been pretty challenging to steer manually against those waves while trying to changing lures, making a cup of coffee ect you don't necessarily need to follow a route the heading lock is a game changer on it's own
Is that 8 mile campground?
It's not the main 8 Mile camp but it's not far from it, it's on the other side of the Peninsula as you head out of the 8 Mile arm towards the Mitta and Dart arms
Thanks Ross, Yes i would definitely like a new boat, i want to go the whole hog when i get one so it will be expensive. This current boat has evolved over decades 0:02 so i am reluctant to just get another chep boat because it will take quite some time to get it up the functionality of this boat, there are a lot refinements that are not obvious to the casual observer. The boat is in being welded up at the moment and i have moved the trailer skid back 140mm to take pressure off the area that keeps getting cracks while it's on the trailer. So we will see how that goes also the boat i would want to get would be larger so i might need a new car as well.
Livin like kings. Rather than add another bilge pump to that tinnie, don't you think it's about time to invest in a new boat?
Thanks Ross, Yes i would definitely like a new boat i want to go the whole hog when i get one so it will be expensive. This current boat has evolved over decades so i am reluctant to just get another cheap boat because it will take quite some time to get it up to the functionality of this boat, there are a lot refinements that are not obvious to the casual observer. The boat is in being welded up at the moment and i have moved the trailer skids back 140mm to take pressure off the area that keeps getting cracks while it's on the trailer so we will see how that goes, also the new boat I would get would be bigger so I might need a new car as well.
@@akhector Yes, I can see your tinnie has been personalised to just how you want it. Good luck with the new one and I do know about the 'expense' of a new boat.
@rossevans1774 thanks Ross, I am the first to admit that some of the refinements are somewhat eccentric! Would you believe it has 3 on board lithium battery chargers under the front section out of the weather so it is great when you stay at a caravan park or want to plug them into a generator.Yes they reckon that BOAT stands for "Bring Out Another Thousand!"
Great video mate, what a trip! 👏
Thanks Andrew
Bloody rippa mate. You have inspired me to do a Dart trip.
Thanks Andrew you have the ideal boat for it.It's certainly not short of Sambar deer either.I wonder if you could use the Active target to locate the trout in the creeks, so you know where to cast.Maybe you could even fit in a LPG heater in the boat.
Looks like you had more than enough of everything.... except spare fuel😂. Excellent video, mate. You've given me extra ideas to try up there, not the least being yabbies in winter. I'll also start keeping redfin frames, if I ever catch any in the future!
Thanks Ross I think carp, yellowbelly frames or trout frames would work just as well as long as it is fish.I had 60 litres of fuel but I do get adventurous and go to places as far as Italian Point which burns a lot of fuel and fuel is heavy to carry.I put the redfin frames in cryovac bags in lots of 10 because that will bait 10 nets. The redfin frames where from times when the redfin were a bit easier catch! And they were not looking too flash. The spinners and worms definitely catch fish behind fenders and cowbells I just haven't used them behind dodgers much.Look forward to any future videos you might make.I had the reflective tape on the floats, another idea I got from you Croc Tape is bomb it sticks better than others.
@@akhector excellent 👌. I want to trial chemical light sticks in the floats for night yabbying, and number them in case I miss one. Cheers, mate.
Nice! The floats will look like a night club, the Dart's going to be "Lit" as the younger generation might say, will look cool on video The numbers sound like a good idea
Excellent info on lures you see mate and all round great video sandy
Thanks Michael I try to put information in there
"I could have got away with a bit less stuff". Camo Man 2024. I'm 13 minutes in and loving it...
Word up Homie! I have managed to get it shorter by 30min than the last one over a similar amount of days.I had a bit of Covid with some of the narration in the earlier parts of the video that's why it sounds extra nasally!
@@akhector Awesome, I'm half way through and loving it. I'm glad you took the right kind of ice. 😂😂😂 I hope you're over Covid. 🙏
@robbiefishing Thanks Homie I didn't realise until I said it that it didn't sound wholesome so just had to confirm it was the frozen type! Yes well and truly over the covid 3-6 months immunity get in me now!
Good plan to head up the inlets. The browns seemed to be in tight against the structure. And good tip on the yabby claws.
Yes Michael they always seem to be close to the edges hence why i was trying to troll close to the edges at one stage, at times it works well when the lure takes a different path to the boat in a sharp turn, yes Redfin frames + night time + 20-30ft of water = yabbies!
Entertaining as always Sandy, love the new editing techniques on this one 👍. Job well done.
Thanks mate, every video I learn somthing new, I just stumble upon new techniques others I learn off TH-cam.Hopefully getting a second gopro soon so I can have more angles and some underwater shots.
Love the fishing videos mate.

Thanks Camo, soft living imposes upon us debility and we eventually can't do the things we begrudgingly can do now, so we keep pushing the boat out. The trip we did to Euc last week was an express run to try a New Lure. Would have given you an invite- but don't have your contact? You would have loved it, next level stuff - Pete, (I'm not good with TH-cam, haven't resesrched it, so giving it away).
Should do a how to downrigger build.
Nice trip out Sandy. What's the biggest trout you have ever pulled out of this place?
Thanks Michael the biggest is 7.7lb 65cm casting a soft plastic right up one of the creeks that fish Was realeased hence why I might say in the video " I reckon casting gets the bigger fish" !
Great video. Really enjoying your kayaking fishing videos. Steve
Thanks Steve if you like the kayak the "kayak Fishing The Broken River" would be the one to watch if you haven't seen it already.
I always wanted to get a fish trolling
G'day Michael, If you give trolling a go it's only a matter of time and you will get one if your in the right spot at the right time, 13gm Tassie Devils trolled on relatively light line 4-6lb mono or braid up to 10lb, troll at about 3.8km/h.Your chances will be better first and last couple of hours of daylight, overcast days are a lot better they hate bright sunlight, a bit of chop on the water is good if you can tolerate it, somtimes you can get nothing at all in a particular spot somtimes in the same spot you have to fight them off with a stick if you get on to a bite window, at times they can go crazy for no apparent reason that's the magic of fishing it's very unpredictable.
Great session. What a MAD little system! So much timber, dream spot for a kayak drift. Look forward to seeing more!
Thanks Doug Yes it is a pretty hectic system, it's a dream spot if you enjoy a more active form of fishing!
Great vid mate 👍
Thanks Joe!
Thats was a great session in a small river sandy that codger works well mate
Thanks Michale, that Codger was the only one i had so i ordered 3 more after seeing they work so well i ordered extra deep thinking thats what i was using in the video but turns out the bib is bigger on these new ones so it will be interesting if they work alright i am just hoping they don't move around too much in the air, you can never have too deep, gives the lure better crash diving ability you just might have to hold the rod up a bit to stop it dredging the botom!
@@akhector yep I recon elks in albury sell them i might have a look they would be good in the river bed at mulwala aswell I reckon mate
@@michalesinclair5274 It would be great if they sold them would save on postage costs i looked on their online store and couldn't find them but that might not have everthing in the shop it would be great if you could let us know if you get some from there, it's the shape of them that attracts me being heavier in the rear end which is good for casting but these extra deep ones look like they would go deeper than most lures that size they have the same size bib as a 85mm JD Superbug but not as much Bouyancy about the deepest thing i know of is the big JD Python 140mm it will go 35ft down with 50lb Braid
@@akhector yep I'm fishing bundalong fishing comp in the morning with ray parry from obsession spinnerbaits then of to Adelaide Sunday night so I have a look Tuesday morning when I get get back from SA and let you know sandy
Good fishing expedition, you have inspired me to go further on my next Dumaresq river trip in a month. Thanks from Stanthorpe.
Awesome stuff hope you get a few, It can be worth it if you put in the extra effort, high energy fishing is what I am all about. I haven't heard of that river you are going to i will have to goggle it, sounds pretty exotic I am guessing that it is pretty heavily snagged.
@@akhector at intents fishing Yarrawonga mulwala have the codger lures mate
@michalesinclair5274 great stuff thanks! I might be over that way in the not too distant future it is getting towards that time of year
@@akhector absolutely mate
Excellent video, Sandy. You worked hard for those beautiful fish, what an incredible journey. Some terrific camera angles and great scenery. Well done, mate.
Thanks Ross that means a lot coming from you, I get a lot of inspiration from your channel.I am loving the Movavi Video Editor i should of got this a long time ago so much better, only thing i used one of songs included in the program and when I uploaded the video it came back copyrighted content so it was the opening music, I had to swap it out that's why it's a bit abrupt with no fade out and a bit louder than I'd like, it turns out someone that doesn't own the songs is putting false copyright claims on the songs included in Movavi so I don't think I will use any of those again i need to look outside of the You Tube Library there are only so many good tunes in there.
HOMIE... You really are a legend. I laughed so much at this. "There's a feral cat. Oh... There might be a farmhouse". Haha You were well rewarded for such hard work. What an amazing adventure. Well done.
Thanks Homie! A group of Kangaroos came down to the waters edge which would of been good but I am not sure what happened to that footage, you should be able to disable photo and time-lapse modes! You can never have too many cameras! I reckon there is footage from 8 different cameras in this I still really want another gopro the price for the older models doesn't come down much. Those Codgers are good like a 3/4 Jd superbug, you have always got to use a 30+ foot diver when the river rarely gets deeper than 5ft!
@@akhector haha that's so funny. And true. A 30ft diver in 5 feet of water. I have a feeling adventure camping and fishing sell codgers, but if they don't, I'm almost certainly that Trelly's do. And they have an online store.
Word Up Homie! I can't see how much the postage is at Trelly's they won't tell you until you go to pay might have to ring Adventure Camping And Fishing and swing by there when I am in the area or maybe get the Jetsonator to get me some from Trellys if he is coming up this way
Top work Sandy, a great example of prime, hard to access water- and your ability to work the kayak to your advantage. Codger lures should sign us up lol
Thanks Michael I hope you didn't mind me mentioning your name a couple of times in the video I do admire the speed that you fish at, i like the way you reef in those surface lures back in once they are out of the most likely strike zone near the bank or structure. I wish you could buy the Codgers in shops in Albury/Wodonga I have only got the one that you saw in the video i found that one, I can see I will be acquiring more in the not to distant future! I still had to cover some water after dark because I like to be in that zone which is furthest from the access points, if I had of gone more upstream I would of been getting closer to the next access point.
All good Sandy, great vid- enjoyed it@@akhector
Thanks Michael you seem pretty easy going
That beautiful silence is so good I miss it so much love the video bud
I am so glad you liked the natural sound of nature i consiously wanted to capture that in the video, it is really a special place there i don't like to overdo the music
Picked up some really good tips. Always learning in this game. Thank you for your detailed explanations on gear set up. I found the vid very informative.
Thanks for the positive feedback, I was hoping that people can apply some of the techniques to their own fishing, that is the idea.I have only just seen your comment now, somtimes you Don't get a notification when someone comments but now I have just downloaded the TH-cam studio app which gives more information
What systems are you fishing there mate?
I am fishing the Ovens River below Wangaratta
Thanks mate l have to get up there
Very enjoyable video. I do some trolling at Dart lead line ford fenders with worms and mudeyes etc but see you only used dogers and tassies. Do you think that is a better set-up? How about trolling speed. I have a lot more questions I could ask like how you set-up trolling moter and sounder to a pre set course? Maybe you should do one on some of that I'm sure a lot of people would find that helpful. Cheers.
Thanks Noel I troll Dartmouth with Ford fenders/cowbells and worms myself on occasions and for that I like to troll about 2.5km/h so in that situation i think the Ford Fenders/Cowbells are better for that, Dodgers are better for higher speeds like you use when trolling lures like Tassie devils, for those type of lures I like about 3.8km/h, the Dodgers create a lot less drag at these speeds.I have caught Trout with Cowbells with a Tassie devil behind them at 3.8km/h (cowbells are better at higher speed than Fenders) but the amount of drag is not ideal, You couldn't use the slider rig I use in conjunction with cowbells because when it slides down to the botom lure when you get a fish ect you will get the mother of all tangles because of the spinning blades, that is a big advantage of the Dodgers they don't tangle much.It is hard to explain how you navigate a route with the trolling motor connected to your sounder but your electric trolling motor and your sounder have to be compatible to connect together so if you have got a lowrance sounder you need to have a Motorguide or Lowrance Ghost Trolling motor if you have a Hummingbird sounder that is compatible with Minn Kota, I have heard you can get extra adapters to make other brands like Garmin to connect to Minn Kota ect but information on that is pretty hard to come by.Your sounder has to be a more high end unit to have the capability to connect to your trolling motor I have got the Lowrance HDS 7, this video shows how you physically connect your Lowrance sounder to your Motorguide xi5 trolling motor using the extra gateway kit/NMEA 2000 starter kit th-cam.com/video/nVkztApaAvw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0c8cNbYBc0l40SKB I am still looking for a video on how you plot a route on your lowrance sounder then make your trolling motor follow it, I just kind worked it out through trial and error, that could be a good video to make because I can find one yet. Cheers tight lines
Que belo peixe
Thankyou they are also the biggest freshwater fish in Australia, they can grow a lot bigger than the ones in this video 120cm +
Pretty fish
Thanks, yes the pattern on them is pretty detailed it's pretty hard for artists to replicate in paintings ect
Good fishing, can’t believe how much gear you take in the kayak! Keep it simple.
Thanks Scott, I do enjoy trying to make new gadgets ect that's part of the fun for me.
Great video mate new sub here aswell 👍🏻
Thanks mate! thanks so much for the sub
Great vid camo man! A new subscriber here for you as well 👍
Great stuff! Thanks heaps
Well done mate. Great video . Im a new sub 👍👍👍
Awesome Mate Thanks!
HOMIE...Awesome work. That echidna was about as random as seeing a 70yo man backstroke across Lake Hume in the middle of August. LOL No summer drift would be complete without a Labrador moment. Loved it. Awesome work.
Word Up Homie! An Echindna swimming across the river must be rarer than I thought if you haven't seen it all that often I am kicking myself I didn't get a close up of it I thought I was filming with my phone but I wasn't 🤦♂️I hope you don't mind me saying "see you later mate" you started somthing when you got me to say it in your Lake Hume Trout fishing video!
That bloke backstroking across Lake Hume on an 8 degree day in the middle of Winter would of been as Random as it gets in a video!
