You're obviously having a lot of fun as you learn to navigate your new situation. The digger work is certainly making a huge leap for you. I was curious about the construction of the yurt foundations as they appear to be just sitting on top of the ground unsecured...? I couldn't see any cement or wire or metal bracing that would protect it from a strong gale or seismic activity. I also noticed the same with the bathroom build, is it attached to the deck, or simply sitting on top of it?

I was in Alvas on the Border and it was beautiful.

im watching over 100 portugal builds and i was under the impression that one can build a modern house. it has to stay stone. this is interesting.

My brother was in the military engineering corps for almost 42 years. He is an incredible machine operator. Like your hired in operator, sometimes experience is worth paying for. That opening up looks awesome. On video it looks like you could do with skimming the top edge of the embankment a bit more, so it doesn’t come down when there is big rains. In the meantime……. Loving your work and seeing the pup in a lot of the videos….. Perfect. My adopted, abandoned cat, George, features in a lot of the videos on my channel. He is always supervising.

I just watched this video and enjoyed it. Obviously you are going to learn a ton of stuff, which I believe is part of your ethos. By now I am sure the track on the digger is back where it belongs and you will know how to repair it next time. Adopting a dog is a great way to make a house a home. I might have kept the tall loo/shower. It was tall but not ridiculously tall. A shower head should be a bit higher than normal if possible, you see that all the time in luxury homes. With both "rooms" so compact, vertical space is a plus (smells and steam). Anyway looking forward to seeing the CRTs in your gaming room!

How much of what you do is legal ? Is your planning agreed by City Hall? Is seems to mee that the "house" you bought is illegal. Which counts for many of the portuguese buildings. What budget are you on or are you hoping to live from TH-cam income? If so people who watch your videos should know. Honesty works best.

If I go to live or visit Portugal ..I dont want to be surrounded by Brazilian or other South American..or Pakistani or Bangla or African..I want Portuguese People and their Culture..
