i remember hearing something about the sixth doctor's coat being the way it is so they could use it to help the camera to properly correct itself to the location it would be in each scene and section of a scene.

This is quite an old video (thanks YT!) so there's little chance anyone will see this comment, but I'll write it anyway! I feel no shame in saying Colin is my second favourite Doctor. I grew up with the very last of Tom, but Peter is my #1 Doctor, then Colin and Sylv brings up the rear. Oh how I lamented the conflict with Corrie! I rarely got to watch DW back then as my Mum would not be ripped away from that blasted show! But I digress. Colin was shafted, that's the long and short of it. He did the absolute best with what he was given. That man could have walked on water on live TV and he still would have been sacked! I agree with pretty much all of the points raised here, that ball was well and truly fumbled and it was Colin who paid the price. The way he was treated was disgusting! I do think there are worse Doctors. I think some have had better scripts than others, better showrunners, so I really don't know why Colin's always seem to be the ones people hate. I loved the "step over a dying human to save a butterfly" Doctors and 6 did that the best. I can see why people may not like that, but it hasn't stopped Matt Smith or Capaldi being highly rated. The coat wasn't great, but the cat badges make up for that! Sorry, I rambled. it's late! Thanks for the video, I'll sub for more, Cheers!

One of my favorite Davison and Dalek story. Shame this story isn’t top tier next to Invasion of Earth, Masterplan, Power, Evil and Genesis. If and had director Sam Pekinpah directed a Who story it would be Resurrection. It was a story that I kept missing for 4 years straight until 1991 when we got it as a rerun. A weird fact is when the U.S. got this story. The SFX sound for the weapons was missing and all we got was the flash light. The dark drama is what would happen in the over the top Colin Baker era and had she been a powerhouse still Marry Whitehouse would have loved this story!!! This is Terry Molly’s first endeavor into Davros and he stole the show. With quotes like “I’m Quite Difficult to Kill” is what cement him as thee Davros. Overall the 5th Doctor is Playing for keeps and he could not do any better here.

I agree that it was cancelled too soon. Sylvester McCoy was an underrated Doctor, and a number of fans agree that he and Ace were the prototypes for the modern Doctor and female companions.

The scene where the doctor shows Sarah the alternative 1980 is incredible. The way it's executed with the wind and the desolation, its like something out of a classic movie. It's my favorite moment in all of Who and makes an already great story even better

I always saw the Happiness Patrol as an episode portraying a dark authoritarian side of humanity, both through the application of direct power and through social alienation of non-conformists. It is almost theatrical in form and I find that given their budget it was a very creative way to get its message across, even if its only at a subconscious level for some of the audience. It may have been rooted in Britain of that era, but it still is relevant.

It was actually the first time I saw the Daleks on screen(I later caught the Peter Cushing films). It's a very bleak and downbeat story - and I think actually quite fitting for Davison's Doctor, what with things like Earthshock and The Caves of Androzani. I like the use of the old docklands area(I think all gone now) - really adds to the atmosphere. There's good supporting characters in the military unit, Stein and Lytton. I think there's probably a problem with the storyline in that it tries to pack far too much into it, and it could of been pared down some what. Never the less, I still think it's one of Davison's best stories - as it really shows how much of a threat the Daleks are, and then there's the heartbreaking departure of Tegan(which is quite novel for Doctor Who - and I think in keeping with Davison's Doctor).
