Would you either build a stud work frame from moisture resistance 2x1 battern or dot and dab and then drill plug and screw through dot and dab

Personally I would just batten you could even use hardie backer instead…meaning less wood work and a stronger surface to work on..brick bond the boards !

No I guess with wall panels you would be using a silicone based adhesive to adhere too

@@TheBeardedTiler thanks for reply. I've got solvent-free gripfill to stick panels. It think the panel company recommend solvent-free so it doesn't eat into plastic panel.

10mm trowel …and back butter and up to personal taste but if they are rectified I’d say 2/3mm max…. Hope this helps

Yes still use prime 3/1 mix. but then u could use a standard flex /slow or fast set of your preference adhesive..

@@TheBeardedTiler ok I have already a concrete floor. I was hoping to find just one adhesive which I don't need to prime. It's a place I am renting so I wanna do it cheap as possible. but it also works.

If it’s an old solid concrete floor and they aren’t massive tiles and no underfloor heating don’t worry about the matting …not worth it ..

Primer is cheap and it’s only to get a better bond in case it’s dusty and to stop suction so it does t dry out to quick.

I leave it til next day !! Just so it gives a chance to set otherwise you might disturb matting.

To be truthful I have always back buttered only as my dad’s a tiler and he taught me that. Thanks for the comment and taking the time to watch my content !

Filling the joint with a flex tile adhesive as with what you would like tiles. As for waterproofing if it’s a wet room area maybe. I usually tape internal corners as that’s the most prone to leak. Sometimes tanking I find is overkill and an added expense. Hope this helps

Not exactly as I’ve back buttered the tile and when using large format I use a vibration tool with then gets rid of any hollow spots ;)

Well it’s very time consuming but get either a raking hand tool or you can get grout removal tools with diamond blades….sorry there’s no quick way of getting it out.

I disagree...I've got a resume of successful high end clients with wood plank porcelain flooring. Repeat clients with more tile work with same product. I respectfully disagree

@@TheBeardedTiler I commented on another of your videos, I’m a setter by trade and just thinking like someone that is a diy person that would really help someone out showing how to make those intricate cuts. That cut is next level and if it was easy for you be proud because it isn’t easy for most. I’d probably spend a hour on something like that, maybe more haha.

@wasntme3651 for some reason jobs seem to of got bigger …this house also has 6 bathrooms!!! Tiles also are getting stupid sizes and it can’t be good for our bodies! Hi Chris ..thanks for the comment. What kind of stone ?? Yes you definitely need to seal them. I’d recommend fila products they are easy to use and work really well. Make sure you do a test as some darker colours will stain the stone !!! So be aware!! Best to do a extra layer of sealer just incase. Any problems or issues just leave a message.
