Brilliant update, so impressed with your 3D printing mate, you’ve took to it like a duck to water, the very thought of it makes me nervous, lack of confidence on my part I guess. Seriously though, you’ve done really well with it, thanks for sharing your journey👍🏻
@TheGreatMim Thanks, Chris, and I would suggest getting into printing. I was lost and dead worried about it and looked at lots of TH-cam and the FB group I mentioned in the video. You could also ask me anything at any time and I will always help you. 😁👍
@@kitchenwargamers4141Thanks mate, maybe one day🙂
Great update Mark. I really need to find some files for artillery now that we know what it's going to take to build up artillery support for v3. Thanks for showing your work.
@WarGamingNewbHistorical thanks Josh, and with the printer in the long run, it's making things a lot more easy and cheaper 😀👍
Great update and congratulations on 1.5K subs :). I am getting tempted to get a 3D printer but am going to clear some of the stash of opportunity first :)
@aledroberts6151 thanks mate and it was a big step for me but loving it now 👍
Nice update mate
@basicminiaturepainting thanks mate 👍
The change to light brown is great compromise....look great
@rich_john thanks mate 👍
You gonna preorder the new bolt action edition or you think you will wait for it to come out?
@arifmeighan3162 pre ordered it as soon as it went up 😁👍
I think it’s a good idea, the way you’ve speed painted them for playing with. The toothpick guys look good, but you know they’ll always be that now don’t you😂
@TheGreatMim thanks Chris, I am off work so will catch up with your Normandy adventure 😀 👍
Looking great!
@MedievalWargamer thanks mate, the painting is the worst I have ever done but they look ok on the table top 👍
They are looking sweet mate
@basicminiaturepainting thanks mate I have just finished my project goal today so video will be up about it next week 👍
Wow, looks so crisp and clean. Well done
@bringbattlewargaming8720 sorry late getting back to you but thanks really enjoying 3d printing
Nice work, so when are you taking orders 😂
@rich_john 😂 thanks mate 👍
Awesome print. Now print panzers..gun look always chubby.
@smoothbrush4722 thanks mate, mass tank Battles on the way 😂👍
Ralph’s advice is good also after washing put the model with supports in a tub of hot water it helps remove supports and give more of a wash. Another tip don’t over cure as a 3d print can get brittle and also can crack. Have fun and if something fails like a tank you could always use it as a destroyed tank. I have been printing for over 10 years and I still get a fail so don’t worry to much
@walkaboutgamez2502 thanks mate, what time do you cure for, like tanks or infantry models? 😁👍
I take my hat off to you mate, you’ve done a remarkable job of teaching yourself. I just haven’t got the guts, I worry I’d break it, get in a mess or just not get it to print anything right. Cause, the wife would kill me if I tried buying one anyway😂 Can’t wait to see where your 3D venture takes you😉👍
@TheGreatMim thanks Chris, this was 2nd hand so I thought go for it 😁👍
Looks great and really makes me think it is time to join the 3 D printing community :)
@aledroberts6151 thanks mate, the final push was it was 2nd hand 😁👍
Wow, nice one mark I know you had your doubts with resins for a long time but that tank looks great 👍
@wayne8340 thanks Wayne 😁👍
Well done
@jonshadow4052 thanks Al, 😁👍
My tips would be to protect both printer and washing station from direct sunlight as the covers do not filter out all UV and resin left in the tank and resin diluted into the alcohol in the wash will rapidly cure. Where I am obliged to situate my printer gets a lot of sunlight so I keep it covered at all times with a small sheet. I also only remove prints after the sun has gone down and I keep the alcohol tank separate from the station when not in use away from sunlight. I also empty the resin from the printer after every print as sometimes you can get unnoticed flaws in the print which result in small deposits of hardened resin on the FEP. These can damage the FEP on the next print as the plate presses them into the FEP. On the subject of auto supports I use them all the time and have never had a problem but you can add additional supports manually rather than add all the supports yourself. Many STL files come in supported and unsupported versions which saves you the trouble of doing even this. Take your time as you will soon find yourself like a kid in a candy store, printing models faster than you can possibly paint them.
@@RalphAstley wow thank you for all the advice 😁👍
Looking good! A new hobby within a hobby!
@richardhogg2600 it sure is mate. Thank you 😁👍
A cracking gift mate
@basicminiaturepainting thanks mate 👍
That's it you'll have armoured platoons ready for every nation for when V3 is released. Painted maybe not lol
@daddomgaming6472 thanks mate, mass tank battles on the way 😂👍
8:16 Great Stuff with the Mortars. Yeah...Thats what I would need.
@dariostabletopbastelecke4846 thanks mate 👍
so does this mean more command dice now? or less?
@@AGxKHAOS not sure how it will all come together. Need to wait for rule book or if warlord give us more news on the way. 👍
@@kitchenwargamers4141 oh i thought it was out lol just realized it's still a while before full release.
Im new to Blackpowder and this is ace at looking at how games are played....very instructional
@stevenwoolley2727 thank you I am hoping it helps you out 😁👍
I haven't really been following the rules drops (but I do know some people are upset about the changes is Shooting). Thanks for running through everything up until now. I'm liking the 2 lt. mortars. It'll be interesting to see if they address missed indirect shots or not or include misfires.
@jvcpaints thanks mate and can't wait to get the rule book 😁👍
Looking good, what is your green basing material?
@poncenroy thank you and I can't remember the make of the basing as I got it off Ebay a few years ago. When I run out I will have to find a new one myself
@@kitchenwargamers4141 no worries, thanks for the reply. Liked how vibrant it looked
Really enjoyed this one ! 😊
@xjezzbx thank you,
Thank you for this ONE! Its good to get ready for the New Version!
@dariostabletopminatures no problem and thank you. Yep will be working on my US army next 😁👍
@@kitchenwargamers4141 me too. Brits and Americans.
They also now have Franco Prussian and War of the Tripple Alliance. 😊
@scottsharp3789 thanks for that mate 👍
Grest vid mate. Love the idea of the motars, mmg and anti-tank crews. Gonna nick that 😉
@bringbattlewargaming8720 thanks Richard and go for it 😁👍
Great video mate, looking forward to learning Version 3 along with you. Some nifty ideas there, definitely going to have a look at my updating my old Version 2 armies and those interchangeable groups are a great idea👍🏻
@TheGreatMim thanks Chris and loving your projects too 👍
Looking forward to following you into v3. 👍.....really like the new rules so far
@rich_john thanks mate 👍
Thanks for this breakdown, Mark. Can't wait for v3. I think I'll do a similar video but on a smaller scale.
@WarGamingNewbHistorical thanks mate and that sounds great idea
👻Great video, We are newish to BA and Looking forward to 3rd edition, sounds like the Warlord updates and changes so far have been well received
@TheDiceGhost thanks mate and I can't wait to get the rule book 😁👍
I think the darker rifles did look better, although I know what you mean about possibly looking too dark when stuff is small scale......keep up the good work 👏
@rich_john thanks mate, I am going to try a contrast paint that's a slightly darker colour and if it looks ok I will do the rest. Just can't stop thinking cocktail sticks 😂
🤣
Great battle report. 30 minutes ish is the length I prefer. Glad to see Wayne again as well.
Thanks mate good to have Wayne for a game 😁 👍
Great update Mark! I pre ordered V3 as well can't wait for it to come out.
@stephenbell2975 thanks mate and yes I can't wait, it's like Christmas 😁👍
I'm looking forward to seeing what's in 3rd ed. I don't know if I'm going to re-buy all the army books though. So far what I know about it, it seems like it will be a lot of fun.
Thanks mate and I can't wait to see whats what with the new rules 👍
Great update. Loving the epic. Looks grrat from a distance but that is the charm of epic...mass armies
Thanks Rich and yes quick and simple to get them on the table top
Very interesting update. Like the epic chaps. You are right, from a distance they look good. A thin wash may help define the features but I don’t paint figures that small so it may not work. Bolt Action Version 3, I think the rules are now you buy a rifle platoon and that unlocks you to get any other platoon, but only one of each kind. However, if you want two engineer platoons you must first get two rifle platoons.
Thanks Marc, and I will have to sort the tooth picks out 😅
Going to be a fun project, Mark! I just started to get back into Epic ACW and English Civil War so we're going through the same hobbying. ACW definitely easier to paint up. Looking forward to the next update!
Nice to see you play with your friend again😀. Great to see all nice models and terrain too.
Thanks mate it was great to have Wayne over 👍
Great update! I just received the Epic Battles ACW box. I'd like to record the bigger battles from the beginning to the end of the war(Hopefully). Beautiful work so far! It's a HUGE project. Keep at it!
Thanks mate I will catch up with your videos soon 👍
Brilliant update mate, excited to see those upcoming videos. ‘Toothpicks’😂 that’s just like one of my wife’s little comments, best go for a darker brown mate because if you anything like me it’ll be in your head for good now. I recently based up some terrain with a sand finish and passing by she said, “ooh they look like biscuits, what are they” lol…..needless to say I will be retouching them😉
😂 thanks Chris 👍
Nice update. Thinking about those ACW epic battle lads. How about getting a silver marker pen and just putting either a line down the barrel of the gun or even just a dot on the top of the gun to emulate the glint of the metal on a musket. The colour you've used for the muskets is great and makes them stand out really nicely. As you say,you don't want to make them to dark.
Thanks mate but I am looking at doing something with them 👍
Excellent update mate
@basicminiaturepainting thanks mate 👍
YES PAINT THE GUNS ...WIFE KNOWS BEST
@johnwayneeverett6263 😂 don't tell her that mate. Yes your right when I do the 3rd Brigade I will do them different and then re do the others. 😁👍
Loved all the close combats! I see the magic words "anything but a 1" is universal. lol.
😂 thanks mate 👍
Great game to watch. Thanks.
@marctitley7020 thanks mate 👍
Great game, full on action, sure was a ‘bloody’ battle’ Nice to see you getting the chance to battle together again lads. 👏👍🏻
@TheGreatMim thanks mate, it was a great game and great to have Wayne with me, messed up with the editing at the end though 😂👍
