Growing Little Country Homestead
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 5 ต.ค. 2019
Moved from Los Angeles to Indiana in 2013 with my wife and our son. Now we have two boys and two girls. So we are growing four little country kids. Homesteading has been a dream of mine for a long time and finally an opportunity has come up to see if I can and so I’m taking a shot.
Moving bees to a bigger bee hive.

Long break to do a lot of work.

Hello everyone I’m back! I took a break due to the death of my dog Spero. I’m better now and I’ve got a lot of work done during my absence. All the paddocks are finished and the trees are all cut and moved out. Now it’s time to plant seeds and hopefully some of it will grow. That wagon ride was fun to watch. You're a good dad. Enjoy all that delicious honey!
Thank you 🤗
Great to see you all back on air.. That looked so much fun going for a ride..😊🐄🐄🐄
Thank you Manda!
you're a lot braver than I am
it was pretty exciting.
if you do trigger a bee keeper maybe they will reach out to you to help you lol hugssssssss
hopefully that’s what they want to do instead of biting my head off 😂
you need the frames all the time or it makes it weird like that ???? hugssss
so glad you are ok with all the carp going on and me not understanding geography i wondered if you were involved in all the hurricane carp hugssssss
we got some rain for a week but never got any of the hurricane.
Glad to see you back. Bee keepers may fuss about what you did, but you have lots of bees and lots of honey for them to eat so you must be doing something right. Keep at it and get another hive set up so you can expand in the spring.
Thanks for the tips!
So pleased to see you I was a bit worried about you all after Hurricane Helene went through, thankfully Sean was able to reassure me you were all ok 😊 You seemed to do well with the Bees but I know nothing about them so sorry. Train ride with the kids great fun 😁😁
we got tons of rain! that’s about it. Thank you for your thoughts.
Glad your back!
me too,
The ride looked like fun :) Happy fall! ~ Jan in Ohio ;-)
It was!
My opinion which is from the bee TH-cam videos I have seen. All the bees were at one end of the frames, I would say the queen was there. But what do I really know , lol. Bees are smart they will fix everything back to their liking. Good luck. Love you both!!
That’s a good point. thanks for pointing that out.
I like it buddy, nice work
Thanks for the visit
New member here, follow your friends Nate and Katie🇨🇦❤️ I am really looking forward to seeing what your T-shirt say lol.Maybe you’ll eventually get a guard dog for your animals ❤️Beautiful piece of property you have too
Welcome!! my t-shirt said “compost your enemies” lol got it from Dave the good
The garden got me sad but the one balled pig had me wincing.
so looks like nothing has happened so I think we’re good.
Hello! Great job! Could you recommend the brand or model of your rubber boots please? thanks in advance
Fall back regroup and reengage. Stay positive and wishing you the best. God Bless from TN.
Thank you! Will do!
What type of oil did you use in this please?
my wife thinks it was coconut oil…
Cross the log and from top to bottom. That’s the way. 😀
Thhank you
making cake or sweet bread cake using lard is very tasty.
We'll need to give that a try. Thank you!
@@GrowingLittleCountryhomestead I highly recommend you to make the Traditional Gugelhupf (Kugelhopf) From: daringgourmet
It happens, onto the next project
Only thing to do!
What type of nail gun are you using?
It's a pin nailer
Hey sang 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 Hopefully by moving your garden Mr mole won't follow and stay where he is.. Wow, well done with the tree, you were so confident 👍🏻🐮🐮🐮
I hope so too
Yikes! The trees. They just keep growing. I keep hoping that one ( or the other) is not going to come down. Really when the wind blows I grit my teeth 😲
hi Hannah hugsssss
my cat was the same only one dropped and they had to do surgery to retrieve it so yeah that happens in all animals if its going to it is rare but its known hugssssss
Angela looked into it and I guess sooner is better kunes or they develop a fat layer that could prevent both from dropping?? I do better next time.
You are as far from lazy as it gets Sang you had other priorities and they took priority. From what I have seen gardens have done appallingly this year pretty much everywhere. I hope you seperated brother and sister in time. Excellent spot regarding the tree that definitely had to be dealt with quickly you wouldn't want it falling at a bad time Hi Hannah 👋 my kids like carrots too 😁
Thank you! I’ve got my fingers crossed that nothing has happened with the pig siblings 🫣
You have a lot to take care of. This weather has been awful. I have a small garden. I water deeply every other day. I enjoy your videos and I learn things from them for the future :-). Your family is just the cutest.
Thank you Sarah
Hey Sang everybody let’s go things now and then it’s “no big thing”🤙🏽we use to say, Hannah so cute “don’t eat da carrots hahaha! Enjoyed this morning watching video Mahalo🌺🍍🌴🇺🇸✝️❤️🔥🤙🏽
Thank you Margaret! 🤙
Spring was great for me, but summer was horrible. Plus I learned I cannot be out in the sun too long. I could probably give myself maybe an hour if lucky I’ve been getting too much sun exposure and it’s affecting my body. I’m diabetic and my doctor said for me to. Be careful I’ve been having problems with my eyes. I could be with too much sun. I’ve been limiting myself. I’m in Texas and it’s way too hot now I will do fall gardening but very little .. I had some melons growing and a raccoon or a possum took it , but I have several more in a different space. I’m also learning what grow, and where to plant location and what to grow by itself. You know those certain things that you can’t really plan with other cause they’ll take over like mint Or hog up all the sun 🌱🌱🌱
I bet it’s worse in Texas. I’ve realized that I can’t be out to long either. Worked in the sun for 20 years and now I can’t stand more then an hour myself
Great idea putting the garden closer to your house. It will be a visual reminder every day. Sometimes a person just needs to stop and heal emotionally & physically. 😔 You have a job, family & animals that you are taking care of every day. You’re definitely not lazy! Enjoyed your video. 💚
That’s exactly what I’m hoping for.
do what you can and don't do what you can't! it's a never ending struggle to get everything prioritized AND done....and sometimes things just have to go by the wayside! You are doing great!
That’s so true and it doesn’t help to have ADHD lol
Great video, Sang! Those pigs sure are getting big--any romance yet? Hannah is growing up too; she is going to be a knock-out! 💜
Yes I saw them being romantic 😅 hopefully Dallas got the job done
I feel your pain. Over here in Scotland we have had nothing BUT rain! Not enough warm sunny days to bring on the garden. Many people who have been gardening for decades have also given up for this year. We will try again next year and learn from our experience of this year.
There is always next year.
Wishing you all the best with your new garden layout. Ought to be fun, seeing as you're more experienced and know what works and what doesn't.... .
Thank you Tessa
That is what I was thinking, you have some great posts. My garden is dead too. It has been a tough summer. Strawberries are pretty resilient. They will come back next year.
Thank you! I hope they come back.
Hope your children feel better. Nice chicken water systems. Enjoyed your video. 💚
Thank you flowers4Bees
Had to look up why Dallas would be foaming at the mouth. Seems he is REALLY happy his lady is with him. LOL
Yeah he gets that way when it's close to eating time or whenever I move the feeding bucket 😂
@@GrowingLittleCountryhomestead Yep, it seems food and the possibliity of sex causes them to foam at the mouth.... LOL Similar to some humans I know.... LOL
Wishing the kids a speedy recovery and Dallas, all the success with mating. The kids may be a handful, now, but, just enjoy them every which way. They just grow up much, much too fast ❣️ Interesting watering system.. Mission accomplished; the kids are going to appreciate and enjoy the setup. Looking g forward to your next video..
Thank you. I think I saw some magic happening the other day...
Nice setup! They should be well hydrated from now on.
It's been such a blessing
I enjoyed this video, my friend. Hope your week is a good one. see ya next sunday.
Thanks! You too!
kids are great but can be a pain sometimes lol hugsssss
Most definitely!
Enjoyed the video! I see your hair is growing out; I liked it longer. 😊💜
Yeah I cut it way to short. In my 20 it was past my knees
@@GrowingLittleCountryhomestead Wow!
Things rarely get done with one kid around never mind four and one being a toddler 😂 Looks like a good watering system for your family fingers 🤞 that Lee Lou feels more inclined soon 😂
It's all Hannah! She demands all of my time 😂
I guess you can call her Helpful Hannah! Interesting watering system now....and the weight is at the rear of the chicken tractor good plan!! Looks like the pigs are doing a good job eliminating that Japanese stilt grass!
Yes they are really eating it up. The watering system is great!

Good day I was just watching self-sufficient me and he was talking about his chickens his hands laying hands. It was a good one talking about the big trees that you have and he has the Protex the chickens. He also has an electrified fence. It was really good. You should check him out if you don’t see him.
I do watch his channel! I'll have to check it out.
I googled “pig aphrodisiac” and yes there is such a thing! 😮😂😂 It’s going to be a long wait for cooler weather in central Florida. 🥵 I hope you get rain soon. 🌧️ Enjoyed your video. ❤
I saw them being romantic just the other day 😂. So we're good.
@@GrowingLittleCountryhomestead😂😂
This is really cool. I was looking for someone who had done a brush fence because I want to build one for my little chicken cottage. I think you are doing an amazing job. Thank you for taking the time to document and share your creative process. Absolutely exactly what I was looking for. You gave me some great ideas on how to proceed. Your channel should be way larger. We gotta spread the word about your channel 😊.
Glad I could help!
Just joined your channel. Where did you move to? I left the west coast for nowhere MS. Thank you for the incredible amount of ideas and how to’s. Thank you kind sir.
I moved to Indiana. I hope you create wonderful things ❤️
