Good news the vole trap works great!. Strawberries are in the ground, piglets get kicked out of the house. Email: growinglittlecountry@gmail.com #garden #gardening #weening
Hello Sang, I’m trying to battle the vole issue with alliums. They claim that garlic and onions planted around your other garden plants are a deterrent for them. So far it’s working. Also daffodil bulbs planted around is also supposed to work against voles
Strawberries 🤗 I'm like Hannah 😋😍 One of my favourite things to do when visiting Stellenbosch (W Cape South Africa), is to grab an empty picnic basket, then filling it up with my favourite items en route to our picnic spot. First stop is at the cheese factory for a cheese platter. Next, I swing past the bakery for fresh bread/s and other dsinties. Then, on to the local strawberry farm where we're allowed to pick our own strawberries and purchase some preserves, liqueur/s and other strawberry products (normally, too much to choose froml) Lastly, but not the least, pick up a bottle (or two) of wine from one of the vineyards in the area. Then, spend a lazy afternoon with family and/or friends.
Good luck on your vole trap. I’m going to try growing strawberries in my GreenStalk. I’ve got to read up on when to start. I live in Central Florida. Enjoyed your video. ❤
I recommend checking out Sheraton Farm yt channel. They add a physical door space between "paddocks" so the pigs transition much easier. There are a bunch of videos on pigs. I'm planning on first pigs next year so starting the set up this year. And I'm so glad to find your channel. Seems like the Growing Little Country Homestead/Sow the Land community is super nice. 😊 Cool.
Congrats on catching the voles! 💜
Bagged 2 more today. 🎉

I laughed so hard when those piglets walk back through 😊. Love your content.
Yeah I couldn’t believe it 😂 like it wasn’t even there
Wish I were in your area, to attend a farmer's market. I would've loved to try the Sauerkraut, kimchi and fresh bread 😏
Maybe one day!
3 in an hour!! That’s awesome!! I bet we had a few more of those bad boys ordered asap! 🤣🤣
You got that right!

I have onions and garlic growing. Maybe I don’t have enough spread out the garden?
@@GrowingLittleCountryhomestead I believe that the majority of the sources are using them like a perimeter

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day
Happy to see that some of the bees are still around. Holding thumbs that all goes well on that front. Looking forward to your first honey collection.
You and me both!

You can plant them now and maybe you can get a few this year but you’ll definitely get them next year if you plant it now. 👍❤️
Sang: I had to share with you that the vole trap is working great! Just unloaded another one 🎉🎉🎉. Thanks for the recommendation! 🎉🎉
Love it!!
Thanks for the vole trap update. Congratulations with your successes.
Over here, it's the Moles, we have to worry about. 😕🙈
These will work for moles too!

Thank you for checking out my channel. I love sow the land. I'll check out the other channel as well
Good morning. What kind of fertilizer do you use on your strawberries? I'm looking for the right one but have not tested my soil. Thanks.
I'd like to try the ever bearing variety this coming spring...
I use "down to earth fertilizer" it's all natural and I really like it.
@@GrowingLittleCountryhomestead 😂😂 excellent!
Have you tried flooding the voles tunnel
I've tried everything. The traps were my last on the list.
