ohh shite.. I should have told you to 3D scan that infamous mountune inlet if you remove it from your car. I would pay for a proper blueprint for 3D printing one to myself. Maybe it not just me, but I'm curious about the new dyno graphs with the mountune manifold. You have a video with all the past modification and dyno results, maybe you can make an update. Thanks for this video!
@@istvan5400 not sure copying the Mountune design is a good idea. Probably going to end up getting sued... and the external geometry isn't the part you need in anycase. A low cost plastic manifold with the correct runner lengths and a decent plenun chamber would be cool to make with a printer.
@@hengineer1 you are absolutely right! but I will make a mountune look manifold anyway, the only difference the cost to pay an engineer to calculate the dimensions and re-engineering this stuff. Mountune had a chance to print out this for me (I asked them), and I would happily pay 1000 pounds for 3D printed version of this manifold. and I don't think I am the only one. They didn't bother to answer for that letter........
@istvan5400 If I did a design, with OEM interfaces (flange to head, throttle body in same location) and had it printed off in Aluminium... would there be a market for it? A Hengineer manifold with some dyno runs to show performance?
@@hengineer1 If your price is cheap enough, I'm sure you can sell at least 20. Every second year I see a mountune manifold on Eb@y, and 2300-2500 pounds and 1-2 days later they gone. last one sold under 2 hours. that is the point of plastic 3D print. Just print out if somebody order one. The stock manifold is plastic, so it should be ok being plastic. Maybe use honeycomb cell reincforcement design. But I am not a salesman. You can ask usa and uk fiesta forums. say for instance the proper 3D print with everything cost you 500 pounds and you have a proper blueprint, than you can sell for 900 easy I think.
Im really surprised you didnt pop the front panel off, it takes 5 mins and would have made all those hobs 10x easier.
Happy to see new episode with st150, thank you mate
Keep the videos coming nice to see someone working on one of these on TH-cam. Everytime you release a video it's making me change my mind about selling my mk6 ST. I think youre wrong about your Jamsport hoses, I've still got the OEM hoses on my power steering and not a single weep, almost 18 years old now. Those silicone hoses should be lasting way longer than seven years. I was hoping you'd have shown more of the radiator removal and reinstallation as I have this on the cards at some stage soon. Keep em coming!
I was able to use aluminium foil instead of paper, folding it several times before: tracing, cutting, and fitting it as a spacer. I would say its a great alternative to paper, for those who don't have a 3d printer!
Thank you Very much Sir! I owe you a million dollars for this idea.
Am I right in thinking the longer inlet ports work in the same sort of way as the expansion chamber on a 2 stroke exhaust just on the intake side?
I’ve just bought a mk6 st and this is giving me the itch to get to Castle Combe! The last time I went around the track was pre covid in my old ep3 civic. I haven’t done any track days since but watching this has me questioning why 😅
I would love to get hold of these washers. Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge or equipment to produce them. Has anyone started selling them yet?

@@Jamesairhvac nice - did you put it on a rolling road? Would like to see the power figures...
I have one in Australia awesome car to drive... can't compare any other st150 to these with a mountune inlet manifold...
Hi mate, when fittin camsto the st150, do u have to do valve clearance? Or is there more to it when fittin the cams

This is a fantastic hack but I'm wondering how it impacts the coarser grinds. If I want a coarse grind for cold brew, for example, will I have to remove the flange?
@@msmoussem9025 - the coarse settings are preserved. The machine barely cuts a bean in half at that end!
@@hengineer1 Ha, thanks!
Nice ST 😮 baffled sump?
@@dtrain1634 nope, standard - but well filled!
@@hengineer1 I would really recommend a baffled sump, cheap and easy to fit. filling high doesn't quite do the same as a baffle which prevents flow moving horizontally into other section thus keeping the section near the pick more full
@mintmansam - thanks dude. Will take a look into it.

@@CyberDogFIN thanks for the feedback... yes for next time
Thank you very much my friend for the great work and the amount of hours you dedicate to this project. This last video is impressive, looking forward to seeing it in your car.
@Hengineer, In the search of mods for my ST150 I came across your channel. Love the content mate keep it up. How are you liking the Mtec discs and Mintex 1144 pads after these months in use on the road and on track? (Already bought the st170 brake carriers front+aft)
@@joosie54321 Thanks for your kind words! Honestly the discs and pads are great - two track days and daily.road use? Still got a good 60-70% life in the pads. Disappointed in tue unprotected discs rusting so quick, bit the paint is still holding up.
@@hengineer1 That's not a bad pad life. Seen your track video's, some propper breaking zone tracks. I live in the Netherlands, I will go mostly to the Nürburgring, a bit more fluent track. About the rust. You have coated discs and you get rust on the blank parts where the pads have been running?
@@joosie54321 - no, just rust on the "top hat" part in the centre. Not really a big problem!
@@hengineer1 thank you for the feedback!
This is interesting and I hope I can do something similar on my different brand grinder! I recommend getting yourself a funnel for the portafilter so you can grind straight into it rather than having to scoop the grinds over!
My single garage doesn't have the space for such cabinets but i badly need a worktop and storage of some sort in there for all my detailing stuff. Interested to see what's coming up!
I'm looking forward to the new content mate! Glad to know you're well. Have a top weekend 🍻
Thanks! You too!
Hello! Nice video! I'm still mad at Mountune why they don't make a 3D print version of this manifold.......... (much cheaper, they can make it only for order, and don't hurt the original 50 + 15 remake iron ones)
@@istvan5400 I looked into the cost of 3d printing one... it could be done with CFRP reinforced polymer and would be only a few £100.
@@hengineer1 you right, but mountune won't do that sadly..... blueprint is not available and the shape and size is key of this manifold. I still think this would be easy money for mountune without risk.
@@istvan5400 Mountune won't... but a Hengineer might 😉
@@hengineer1 let me know please :))

@@PUNKF001 Thanks, the tyres were fantastic. I did see the grip dropping off when dry running later in the day... but really pleased.
I have a st150, Do you think I would gain anything by installing the 60mm throttle only with a catback and an inlet kit? or I will lose more torque at low rpm than the power I will gain? P.s.: nice video and nice car👍👍
@@marilycion I would save the money and put it towards a decent set of brakes instead. The 60mm TB allows more air flow at higher RPM, but you lose a bit of flow velocity in low end. It's not worth it unless you pair with an inlet and cams or Super Charge it.
That's me in the 306 👍 Your fiesta goes bloody well!
