Give these a whirl, a totally delicious and umami rich, take on the traditional Easter bun. Follow our Chewy Salted Caramel recipe for the caramel explosions in these buns. You can use store bought or candy your own oranges and the cross is made by brushing delicious white chocolate onto the hot buns. Take care in adding the inclusions to the dough, make sure that they are separated and intersp...

Quick Bites 2: Pear Tart Tatin
มุมมอง 3273 หลายเดือนก่อน
There are many different ways to make a tart tatin and lots of different fruit you could use too. This dessert is one of my absolute faves and a genuine classic, but with a twist. The crunchy caramelised pastry really makes this dessert stand out so pay attention to the basting step in the recipe. I use to make this dish in London back in the day with apples or pears and I also made this when I...

That looks phenomenal. What kind of pan are you using? The only pans I have at home that can go in the oven are stainless steel ones and I'm not sure if the stove process would work in one of those without sticking.

Thanks for highlighting this Darren, it's such a wonderful idea. I lost my Mum 18 months ago and so I bought a gift for a resident who is the same age as my Mum would have been this year (92) and who happened to request a gift that my Mum would also have enjoyed. I guess it was meant to be. :)
Hi Kerryn. Thank you so much for your message, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It is such a wonderful idea, so importent for people who don't get visitors to haver that interaction and experience. That experience for you sounds serendipitous and I am sure the resident really appreciated the gesture. Thank care and thank you once again for the message and for watching. Best wishes, Darren
Please reinstall your old B&P email links to review recipes. Thank you xxx
What size tin do you use
I am not a geezer and enjoy a good gin and tonic. 😅

Great recipe. Thanks
Darren, can you please tell me the function of putting oil on the bench? What other options are there? I am not sure I want to put oil directly on my countertop. thank you
Hi Sue, the oil helps the pastry to stick slightly to the bench meaning you can stretch it out without it pulling back. I only add a little oil and never on a porous surface. You can use canola spray oil of course. Thanks - DP
Sir, have been watching you since you appeared on Masterchef Australia. I am almost 30 and am from India. Is there a way I can come to Australia and learn the basics of cooking from you?
Thanks mate! Appreciate the support - not sure if we can make that happen but good luck with everything! Darren
It's so tasty
Just a suggestion, please provide measurements of ingredients with your videos.
Nice 👌
Looks fantastic. What type of cream do you use?
Mascarpone, thickened cream and cream cheese
Loved it... Looks unbelievable !
