Thank you for making this video. My mixed-breed, rescued girl has to be at least 16 years old, and she was diagnosed with collapsing trachea several years ago. I've been blessed with amazing, caring vets and techs who have guided me through this journey with her, and with the proper care and medication, your furbabies can still enjoy many years of quality life. Unfortunately, the condition does progress, and hers is getting worse. I don't want her to suffer, but I also don't believe in putting her down just for my convenience (as some in my life have suggested). Thank you for giving me advice on what to look for when the time comes to make that difficult decision.

What does it mean when there is fungus growing on cats poop? Not sure if it came from out of her or if it somehow grew on it after she went. What can it be?

I just had to put my 11 year old corgi down 2 days ago due to this. He seemed to be slowing down so I had him in for a checkup. The vet found nothing wrong. 3 days later I was petting him laying down and felt a lump under his abdominal muscles. We got him back into the vet the next day who suggested an ultra sound. They found a 27cm mass on his spleen, signs of prior rupturing, and nodules on his liver. We are absolutely crushed. He was so healthy otherwise, always complemented on looking like a puppy still, having tons of energy, playing with everyone. A month prior I was so happy looking at him, thinking there's no way this dog doesnt live to at least 15 years old. Now my boy is gone and I feel nothing left to live for. He went everywhere with me, countless hikes, miles of walks per day, we just got back from big bear and planned to go to mammoth this summer. He loved the beach and the dog pool was his favorite place ever. I'm forever going to miss and cherish the companionship we had, I'll never find that kind of love again

I have a 1 year old that caught it and 7 days at the vet and I brought him home. The vet said he wasn’t improving. Got him home with meds and overnight the difference was amazing. A month on and you would never tell he was sick. The cost of vet treatment is outrageous. Almost 6 grand

Thank you so much for this video, had to put our cat down yesterday after his 15 years of living. Had him since we got him from a pet shelter when he was a little kitten. He was vomiting up his food and a lot of water for the past year or so. We though it was just him eating fast. Changed his food as well and took him to the vet. 2 days ago we didn’t notice but his stomach had been swelling up much more and buildup in his intestines to where he couldn’t keep his food down. He had went to the vet 2 weeks ago and was 13 pounds, yesterday before his passing he gained 10 pounds and that’s when we knew he wasn’t going to make it. He didn’t eat, didn’t drink and was very slow moving. After 15 years we thought it would be best if he just went to rest so he wouldn’t have to suffer anymore. It’s crazy because he was just running up and down like he didn’t lose a step all these years. Always love your pets❤️. They are family.

Stop neutering your dog to fix behaviour issues. TRAIN THEM. Spaying my girl actually caused arthritis which she later died from, she never really recovered from the spay. There is no real evidence to say spaying and neutering is a good thing

My vet just told me my dog has an ulcer we decided to lift her eye lifts I’m not to sure if I made the right decision. He wasn’t sure if that’s what caused the ulcer please help

My dear old gal has this and it’s gotten worse over the last few months. However, she copes with the coughing very well and her vet says her heart and lungs are in great condition. She’s 16, so every day is a blessing. She gets excited to go on car rides, and every morning she steps outside, takes a deep breath, and just looks so content for that moment. I know her day will come, but today wasn’t it. And tomorrow is looking good too. FYI for other owners, hycodan works well. We also use an inhaler- Flovent, but right now she has an eye ulcer and we can’t use that. It’s tough getting old.

My toy fox terrier had this most of her life. It was terrible. She was 4 months short of being 17 yrs. old when she ascended into heaven.

She has pointed out so many things that fur parents should soak in. When a puppy begins bleeding, sepsis has set in. Please everyone going through this take the time to read. My puppy has parvo. The moment she became lethargic, stopped eating and drinking, and I saw a bit of white foam. I pushed fluids orally. First off she is 20lbs, so I gave her zofran 2-4mg, and Imodium 1-1.5ml and waited 1 hour before the fluid push. Take a bottle of clear pedialyte and add 2 table spoons of pure sugar, shake well. This is going to help the dog’s sugar levels from dehydration!! VERY IMPORTANT!! Every 1-2 hours push fluid! ALWAYS DO 2-4ML/CC times dogs weight!! Because she is 20lbs I did 40-80ML/CC. I also gave her vitamin c, vitamin e, probiotics to restore her gut! No matter if she threw up or had diarrhea, I replaced the fluids when it was time! Zofran and Imodium every 8 hours. Vitamins once a day. Anywhere from 40-80ML/CC every 1-2hours!! Your pet will not eat on their own. They don’t feel well, they don’t want to throw up, they are scared, and they are too weak! You have to push fluids slowly! I just saved my puppies from Parvo and I encourage you to try this. As it might save another pets life dealing with Parvo. Write it down, set an alarm to remind you of when to push fluid and meds! Takes up to 7 days!! Just like if you have the flu or covid or stomach bug, you don’t want to eat or drink, but you have to! Dogs won’t! Push fluids slowly so they will not choke. When they dehydrate, you can pull the skin and if it remains where it’s been pulled it’s a sign of dehydration. Hydrated dogs skin will bounce back! Do a gum test, it will be pink, wet, glistening if hydrated! Grab chicken with chicken broth baby food, or puppy food canned. Encourage her to want to eat by letting her smell it, keep access to water and food that’s fresh available! She will want to when she’s ready AFTER you’ve done pushed the fluids. They are solely dependent on you. It’s all about timing. Chart your pets behavior. Ask yourself, are they playing like normal? Sleeping a lot? Skipping out on their favorite treat or meal? Not drinking? Have they thrown up or drooling? Drooling is also a sign of dehydration. Grunting while lying down is a sign of abdominal pain. I am not a vet, but I’ve seen many many pets with parvo and saved my own. I could not afford a vet bill. However, I made sure I got everything I could to save her and she is great! She threw up 3 times, and had diarrhea 4times. Day 5 I was able to cut back some while allowing her to drink and eat on her own, I’ll push fluids when I see she isn’t taking enough. I also do a dehydration test for her. We did not do IV, only oral! This puppy on day 5 was running wild and playing like crazy! Good luck fur parents with your fur babies.

My dog who tends to be anxious most of the time sleeps on my bed. Over the last several months he shows more anxiety when I turn off the lights. I decided to keep the lights on a week ago to see what would happen.. it worked.

My dog got diagnosed today as we saw him having diarrhea yesterday and didn’t think much of it (thought it was a normal lil stomachache) and we brought him to the vet today after seeing blood in his poop, he’s been throwing up blood same with the diarrhea if I can even call it that now as it’s just water the smell is killing me the most I threw up multiple time tonight but I won’t give up he’s also been fighting and still drinking quite a lot of water thankfully still so we’re hoping for the best but it’s extremely hard I can’t even look at my precious fluffy friend without crying as he’s been silently shedding tears ever since we went to the vet he’s isolated from my other dog and I can tell he’s very upset by it as he’s always trying to go back to her when he gets some strength to get up, it’s hard,it’s awful,it’s overwhelming but I won’t give up I can’t. It’s with heavy heart that I will say my angel has passed because of parvo, I wish everyone a good and speedy recovery for their little one and strength and courage for themselves, lots of love❤️

All of the comments are freaking me out because last time I saw my pup she was fine and she had parvo but everyone is saying it's so bad. My pup is sleeping and eating, and even drinking. But tested positive, I'm freaked out its gonna get worse

Thank you. This helped me realize it was the kindest thing to let my kitty go. He had diabetes on top of all his GI symptoms. I honestly think my vets and I tried everything and that my kitty had the best life possible (he was a rescue) but a calvacade of symptoms overcame him. It's hard to accept there is no solution, but sometimes this is the case. The best medicine is to love as much as possible and know when to let go for their sake.

Thank you for this video explaining how surgery and chemo will only give us a little more time, not cure our little loved ones. My dog has a splenic tumor and I was quoted $7000 for a splenectomy which I can’t afford, so we are waiting and seeing what happens. He is failing slowly which is devastating to watch. My ❤ goes out to all of you who have lost your dogs to this awful disease.

Thanks~! I have a chihuahua who's just started throwing up (white/clear liquid I assume is bile) in the mornings. He hasn't got into anything and he eats and acts completely normal after and for the rest of the day. I'm thinking it might be that his stomach is too empty and he's getting sick from that... Since he's otherwise normal and it seems to be in the mornings. A few times he DID seem like he might be trying to throw up as we were going to bed too. I'm going to try giving him a little snack-meal or chewy or something he can have at bedtime and see if that helps things... This video was very useful for identifying what IS an emergency thing and what isn't though. If the bed-time snacks don't help, we'll be consulting our vet though. We've also cut all extras out of his diet for now, just in case something we were giving maybe was doing it too (though its specifically only happening right when waking up.

I had 3 puppies 1 by 1 they all got the parvo virus the pit of the liter luna died today she had Been affected for more then 4-5 days and she died yesterday cause its 12:50 am and im not sure if the other two will survive they all have been suffering it and are have IV treatment please pray for them to survive and please give me some tips and pray please
