  • Neosporin is a popular antibiotic ointment that is present in most home first aid kits.
With this ointment being used to treat an array of minor skin injuries in humans, some pet owners wonder if this topical ointment can be used on their cats as well.
Though this is a wonderful option for us, it’s not as safe for our feline friends.

Thank you very much for this information. Subscribed! I do understand that not everyone can afford to take their animal to a veterinarian for small non -emergency cuts and scrapes, your video was very helpful and greatly appreciated as well. In my neighborhood there is a women who ownes 17 cats, they are not nurtured/spayed and they are thin and not healthy, she turned 12 loose in the neighborhood for reasons I don't know, some are pregnant now , she takes those inside but the kittens don't usually make it over a week, I'm guessing because the mother is in bad health to begin woth.. I've spoke to my local human society to see if they couldwith. check out these poor cats and acess their health and maybe find a better solution than what there in now, but apparently they are overwhelmed with so many homeless strays that they are not excepting anymore animals nor will come out to check unless it's an emergency such as rabies, I buy big bags of cat food and try and keep these fur babies fed, I'm elderly and on a limited income, but I do sacrifice things that are not absolutely Necessity and buy their food monthly. I love animals and feel its our (humans) duty to help take care of God's creatures. It breaks my heart to see this animals in bad health

Crap ................ i just wiped it off the best i could, my kitty scratched his head near his eye when scratching with his rear nails and because his nails are nit very clean the wound looked like a perfect place for neosporin like I used on my kids when they were young, I should have checked first, I feel llike a dumbass because i'm a paramedic and I should know better but I never treated a feline wound before, crap.
