Thank you so much for sharing your message!! The irony of your messages that I just barely bought a box of Book of Mormons that I wanted to hand out to my friends, lol! I feel inspired to save the best for last on some of those gifts and focus my energies on becoming a better friend and being more aggressive about being friends with people of other faiths. I really like what you had to say about praying for them. Focusing on the central part of the Gospel which is that Christ lived and died for us and that we need to repent of our sins of the baptized is Paramount and critical to bridging the gap between our faith and theirs. I think this is a better place to start than just handing them a Book of Mormon to begin with. I love the Book of Mormon so much and have read and understood it's message, that I want to share it with the world! I really really appreciate what you had to say about sharing conference talks and the pureness of the doctrine of Christ coming through their messages being their first introduction to the church besides our friendship. That was a really good suggestion. My mother grew up Southern Baptist in East Los Angeles. It was her constant friendship with a latter-day Saint girl through their childhood that eventually led her to partake of the fruit of the Gospel. As a result, I was born into the Church. What a precious gift I have been given! Your message reminds me of that!! I am grateful for my mother's perspective. She taught me how to be a friend first and to love people of all faiths.

Hi Jayne, wow what a surprise to come across this TH-cam and see you with David. What a long journey to come to this awesome guy as to his wonderful conversion to the gospel of the living Christ. I have been following David because of his powerful testimony. I learned from him that the fullness of the gospel of Jesus was in whole in the Bible and his excitement to find the Book of Mormon to witness to him he had found the living gospel of Jesus the Christ as he knew it from studying the Bible. David I know Jayne from Huntington Beach California. We were in the same ward and went to Eddison High school together. Amazing how someone who has been a member for a year has so much more understanding than someone who has been around for a lifetime. Her group is probably there to help people on their way out of the church. We love you, even if you sneeze like a cat!

Calling it a phobia misclassifies the issue. There is no fear of Mormonism. When (small o) orthodox Christians discuss their beliefs, they begin with the same Jesus. When Mormons or Jehovah Witnesses join the conversation, the person they worship sometimes has the same name. What they know of Him is not compatible.

Prayer, Miracles, Conference Talks-Listening to the Prophet And king Mosiah went and inquired of the Lord if he should let his sons go up among the Lamanites to preach the word. 7 And the Lord said unto Mosiah: Let them go up, for many shall believe on their words, and they shall have eternal life; and I will deliver thy sons out of the hands of the Lamanites. But this is not all; they had given themselves to much prayer, and fasting; therefore they had the spirit of prophecy, and the spirit of revelation, and when they taught, they taught with power and authority of God. …our brethren, the Lamanites, were in darkness, yea, even in the darkest abyss, but behold, how many of them are brought to behold the marvelous light of God! And this is the blessing which hath been bestowed upon us, that we have been made instruments in the hands of God to bring about this great work. This time, however, through the miraculous interventions of the Holy Spirit, thousands of the Lamanites were converted and became disciples of Jesus Christ. We read, “And as sure as the Lord liveth, so sure as many as believed, or as many as were brought to the knowledge of the truth, through the preaching of Ammon and his brethren, according to the spirit of revelation and of prophecy, and the power of God working miracles in them-yea, I say unto you, as the Lord liveth, as many of the Lamanites as believed in their preaching, and were converted unto the Lord, never did fall away.” The key to the enduring conversion of this people is stated in the next verse: “For they became a righteous people; they did lay down the weapons of their rebellion, that they did not fight against God any more, neither against any of their brethren.” (Alma 23: 6-7) - Elder D. Thanks for your message, I viewed a few seconds of some of those caricatures today (I think I was tricked to click on one). I resisted posting a comment, afraid of giving some poor demon someone to fight with. Even telling them that they are wrong is what the demons want, to make more contention.

Sorry this is so long but you may find this of value. The authority by which the original transcript which now constitutes the Bible was written is definite in its authority, that of God speaking through his apostles and prophets on Earth. We understand that, as is our claim of all of our canonized scripture. The logical fallacy here is in the many translations and alterations the Bible has gone through over time. How many different versions of the Bible are there? Did the King James version make the Bible more true or less true? If neither, then how can there be multiple versions of the Bible and still have it be infallible? And which of these do you consider to be the proper Bible? 👉 The Syrianic version of 61 books 👉 the Protestant version of 66 books 👉 the Roman Catholic version of 73 books 👉 the Coptic version of 75 books 👉 the Charismatic version of 76 books 👉 the Greek Orthodox of 78 books, 👉 the Ethiopic version of 81 books and 👉 the Orthodox version of 86 books If the Syrianic version, are the other 25 books not the word of God? Are they duplicitous? If the Orthodox version, what are the other 25 books? How can they be left out and still have it infallible? What of the Jehovah's Witness version, which has certain verses crossed out as not being important? Any of the other versions have a combination of the above issues to resolve. Which version is infallible, and which interpretation of that version? I am bilingual, having served my mission in Santiago Chile. As such I know that exact translations are impossible from language to language. Take for example the Spanish word of "ánimo". If you look it up in the dictionary it translates to "cheer up", but if you translate "cheer" into Spanish it translates to "alegría". And what happens when you translate that back into English? "Happiness", which misses the mark by a mile when going back to the original word of "ánimo". The closest we can come in English is something along the lines of "animated enthusiasm", wherein someone is anxious to move on with a project or learn something, but each of those words translates into something different. Considering all the different scribes the Bible has gone through over many years before the printing press, the different translations from one language to another and back again, the different variants and subtle nuances of words in the Greek and Syriac and Aramaic and Hebrew languages, is it any wonder that some of the meaning has been lost over the years? Not to mention the machinations of various designing scribes and clergy. At least King James tried to get things back to the original, but in the KJV there are many verses in italics which indicate alterations by the scribes. So I ask again, which version is infallible? And if so, how did it become that way when it's different than the version which preceded it? You see how there's a logical disconnect here? So no, by reason alone we can see that the Bible cannot be infallible in its translation. I have studied both books my entire life and I have many more questions about the Bible than of The Book of Mormon.

Those who do claim the Bible Only, how do they decide which of the "Inerrant" word of God version or versions of the over 900 english versions to go with? Since they not only don't read the same, but some actually have places that read the opposite from each other. And then you add all the different versions in different languages. Nothing but a living Prophet could tell people which is the closest to the original, and which variation of that version is most correct.

Jesus tells them they didn't believe the Prophet's writings so they didn't believe Him. Same as today, the vast majority won't believe we have prophets. They say they believe in the dead ones but they can't agree on all their teachings. 2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost Exact reason there is so much disagreement on what the Bible teaches and what is important and what isn't. Thank God for living prophets and the Book of Mormon

And that is what I searched for...from the age of 21. A People, who actually functioned with God-ordained Apostles/Prophets, who could bring forth HIs Word....FOR TODAY...together with His Words that have come forth in the past, and be the Foundation, the "center of gravity" of a True Covenant People of God who can actually be ONE as the Father and the Son are one...because they have the authority and word and revelation of the Kingdom in the center of their life....Through His Prophets...and ideally, as you see in Acts 15 and 16:4 and Eph. 2:19-21.....not just one Prophet, but a Quorum of Prophets/Apostles who together....are the FOUNDATION...by which those who receive the Prophets...can TRULY KNOW...God's Will and walk in it...TOGETHER! It is clear to me...that the Bible...or any other record of God's interaction with His People through Prophets...is not sufficient...because the Scriptures...do NOT "teach themselves". The Scriptures NEED Apostolic/Prophetic Leaders/Teachers...the same kind of God-ordained leaders through which God brought forth His Word to His People in the Past...to as they hear from Him for today for His People...can combine God's current revelation...with His Past revelation..rightly divided. 2 Peter 1:20-21 New King James Version (NKJV) knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. I believe that this is WHY...on the Day of Pentecost...the 3,000 that responded to God's Eternal Promise of the Gospel...and were gladly baptized....were not given a Bible and sent back to wherever they were from...no, they were ADDED...to verse 46 of Acts 2..."they continued steadfastly in the Apostles Teaching and Fellowship" So the Scriptures are WONDERFUL...but apart from the Authority of God on the earth through Prophets...that His People actually RECEIVE AS His Prophets...to rightly divide His Past Words and combine them with ongoing revelation for TODAY....the Past Scriptures, interpreted by countless human beings according to their own understandings...does NOT produce a "Covenant People" for Him...but endless division and strife and disunity...it produces the EXACT OPPOSITE of what Jesus Christ lived for, prayed for in John 17, and then died for...and rose for....and for which He sent forth the Spirit that gathers into One. It does NOT, and CAN NOT....bring forth a Covenant People...who are "one as the Father and the Son"....but produces the exact opposite. Put 1000 people who are zealous to serve God, in a huge building and give them all Bibles and tell them it's their only rule of faith and practice...and they will NEVER all come to the same conclusions about what "faith and practice" the Bible commands. They will divide endlessly. Put 1000 people who are zealous to serve God, in a huge building and give them all the Scriptures AND a Prophet, actually ordained of God to lead them...from all Past Scripture combined with current revelation from God of His will for His People for today...and however many of the 1000 people who RECEIVE God's Prophet...will all receive the Prophet's reward...they will all receive the Father and the Son truly, by receiving the Prophet that the Father and the Son have sent...and they will become One...as the Father and the Son are One. And this "follow God's Prophet" plan would actually work also...without them all having Bibles...and with most all of them not being able to even read a Bible if they had one...as has been the case in most places through most of human history. God's Plan for His Covenant People...has to be a plan that can work not just for modern literate humans with access to books/bibles...but also would work for the meek and humble and lowly, people of the earth who could NOT read...and had no access to "books"...which never existed in a form accessible and affordable to most people...till very recently. Only 575 years ago, did books just begin to be printed! That's less than 10% of human history...has had access to "books" available to all. And the BIBLE ITSELF... if one is willing to see it....makes all this perfectly clear...as you are seeing. And it is amazing that you are seeing this. It is transformative. It is courageous of you to be willing to face up to this. It changes everything once you see this. This is actually what drove me for 47 years....once I saw this way back in 1976...I couldn't unsee it. Of course... it's also really clear...that human beings, for the most part...do NOT want to see this...and do NOT want to receive God's Prophets...even when they are standing right in front of them. They would much rather CONTINUE to "have no King/Prophet in the Land" and continue to "do whatever is right in their own eyes". Historically, most people's reaction to God's Prophet or Prophets...is to exclude them, cast them out as evil...ignore them at best, or at worst, pick up rocks and stone them to death... I don't want to be that way. If His People...receiving His Prophets...is truly God's Plan A...and also His Plan B,C, D, etc., and I really believe that it is...and He isn't changing His mind on this...I want to humbly submit to this and follow His Prophet/Prophets! and not imagine I have a better Idea. The reason a lot of the members of The Church of Latter Day Saints listen to Pastor Jeff is in the hope that he will be converted to their church. As you have so well articulated, it is his hope that he will convert you to evangelical Christianity!!

The Book of Mormon is fake and joe smith was a false prophet. Many times in his words he proved this. The only way to the 3rd heaven is by paying your way in the Mormon church and the gift of of heaven was bought and paid for threw Christ, not false Jesus that Mormons believe in but the only true Christ
